Burgers & Brats offers several types of German style pork sausage, and pork & beef sausage to brat enthusiasts who love the wurst food in town! The rich flavors come straight from Fischer’s German Meat Market in Muenster, Texas and are accompanied by Hot German Potato Salad and Sauerkraut. Our brats are served only on freshly baked bread rolls from Bayer’s Kolonialwaren und Backeri, which are brought in every day from Muenster.

Burgers & Brats doesn’t serve just any burger. It’s a half-​pound of high-​quality beef, seasoned and cooked to perfection and topped with the freshest trimmings. Choose an old-​fashioned hamburger for the taste of a backyard cookout, or enjoy the creative flavor additions of bacon, mushrooms, chili, jalapeño peppers, guacamole, BBQ sauce, or zesty mayo. To top off the burger, our guests at Burgers & Brats always have their choice from our variety of cheeses: Pepper Jack, Monterey Jack, Swiss, Cheddar, White American, or the traditional American Cheese

I love the burgers so much I haven’t been able to try the brats. I don’t have a refined pallet but even I can taste the difference in the quality of the meat. It is amazing. This is my go to burger place. Great FF too.

I’ve been trying to get over here for a while! But seems like every time I go they are closed. (wish they worked longer hours, or I worked less? ;) Anyway, finally made it in there. The Brats are the best I’ve had in Dallas! WORTH THE WAIT! Burgers were ok, I’ve had better, but the Brats is where its at. Hope to get back soon!

I have been a local of this place for a long time. Their ground beef is always fresh from a great distributor. They some unique craft burgers along with traditional german fare. I have never been disappointed by their crime scene burger. It is always great to see Raj the owner with a smile on his face while he’s flipping burgers. This place is also byob with a beer and wine store right next door.

Their chicken sandwich was delicious juicy and not over cooked. The mushroom and Swiss cheese melted perfect and was seasoned just right. Oh and don’t forget about the fries, their to die for

Wonderful food! I had the Philly Cheesesteak The Usual sandwich. One of the best I have had. My husband had the Brat with hot potato salad & sauerkraut. It too was very good. Friendly staff and quick service.

Worthy of the «best burger» in DFW? Not quite. Worthy of a solid «that’s the way I like it» burger that is all about the meat? Absolutely!
Great meaty flavor, hot and fresh, perfectly grilled, juicy burgers.
Got the Scenic Route which includes grilled mushrooms and onions, plus Swiss cheese, outstanding!
Fries, just so so, nothing special.
Have not tried the brats, saw one on the table next to me, looked very tasty. But it will be difficult to pass up ordering the Scenic Route again.
Small place, so go early or late or you will be getting it to go, as there are not that many places to sit, but make sure you check out this place, great flavor.

Almost didn’t go because of some poor reviews. Glad we ignored them and tried it anyway.
Brats were very good (w plenty of kraut) and my wife really enjoyed her philly, and we both enjoyed the BYOB. Kids meals were good.
The four stars are for the fact that I thought the German potato salad was sub-​par. We will definitely go again.

Have I mentioned that I absolutely love a great Burger? Actually, I just love great food and dining.
Burgers and Brats is not as much Dining as it is a Joint bordering on a Dive, a wonderful, delightful Burger Joint with some excellent choices in Brats, Sausages and Franks.
Excellent, served freshly made and hot Burgers and Fresh Cut Fries. Do yourself a favor, skip the large board menu and search for the small board of alternatives. I love a Cheeseburger with a Fried Egg. Few places who offer this burger really do it justice. Burgers and Brats leaves the yolk soft and very slightly wet, it is absolutely perfect.
This is a simple, burger place, friendly staff, fresh ingredients, delicious every time.

These 4 and 5 star reviews are shocking! I believed them and cannot begin to express how disappointed I was and I’m not that picky.
If this place is so fabulous, why wasn’t anyone there during the main dinner hour?
The brats were waaay too small for $ 7 — outrageous. That’s more expensive than the Ft. Worth Stock show! (where you can get an insanely awesome brat)!
The burgers were extremely small for their price too so tried the Ruben. It was awful and made me sick.
There was hardly any meat or cheese in either of our sandwiches. The Ruben meat was grilled until crispy just like bacon. You couldn’t distinguish what it was, much less tell it was corned beef. I don’t even know if it was.
The cheese was hardly visible — you sure couldn’t taste it, the sauerkraut? Yea — where was it? There was about a tablespoon (measuring T spoon) worth in this greasy nasty sandwich. I don’t know what the Walmart brand quality dressing was, but it didn’t resemble Thousand Island.
The reviewers here are either fake, or they never experienced a good sandwich in their life. I consider Jason’s to have a fair Ruben sandwich — it’s nothing special — but it tastes like a gourmet sandwich next to this place.
If you think Burger King is decent for a hamburger & fries, you’ll be cool with this place too.

My expectation was very very high because the line was super long on Saturday afternoon, place was packed with no empty table!
Bad burger… They cooked meat so hot it had steam coming out until last bite. Why this is bad? It was so hot that it killed all other ingredients inside the burger. I couldn’t see cheese because it was completely melted… Lettuce looked like cooked spinach. Tomato was half cooked. Didn’t enjoy the meal at all. Won’t return.

I am impressed with every visit. The burgers are the best I’ve had in the area. Brats are good too. It’s nice to know they get quality wursts from Muenster. A place that truly provides quality food and service. That being said, it is a little pricy but it’s worth it to treat yourself.

Have been wanting to try this place out but hadn’t had a chance. Great lunch place for brats and burgers.
We had a Reuben and a couple of brats for lunch.
Very good sandwich with good potato salad and the brats are very good. Are they the best I have ever had? Nope, but then again I was spoiled growing up in a farming area that had butcher shops and meat markets that made their own sausage. These were a little lacking on the spices for my taste but they were very good and worth it.
Service was excellent and the place was clean. Yes, we will return!

EDIT UPDATE — I checked this out again on the off chance things may have improved. I went with a standard burger this time. The food and venue are still only average. No change in rating.
It was ok. Just ok.
I really love hole in the wall joints. The burger /​sandwich business is no joke in Texas. If you are going to play in that space you better have an A game.

Small. Divey. Dirty. It can be a dive but dirty. Not acceptable.
Food
I had a Ruben. There was less than 1oz of corned beef on the sandwich. The little I had was clearly just a garden variety food service packaged product. It was mostly dressing and sour kraut. It was a soggy mess. The fries were good but only after they brought me potato salad first (which i did not order) and I had to ask for fries.
Service
Friendly, but apathetic. As we approached the counter the girl was making a face like she was in some kind of pain. My sister said, «Having a good day?» She smiled and said, «sorry, not really.» She took our order and messed it up (see above fries situation). The sis had a Philly. She said it was good but the meat a little dry.
Summary
Just Ok. Want a burger? Mooyah, Red Robin, Smash Burger, Chilis, Snuffers, and many more are all right around there. You have better options. From now on, I will be driving right past this place.

The food is very good, I love the brats, the burgers are freshly made, never frozen. I LOVE the German style potato salad, it tastes very similar to the kind my Nanna used to make. The kraut is very tasty too, you can taste the coriander, it’s more Scandinavian than German.
The service is another story, the reason I gave them 3 stars is the food, and really as far as service they barely deserve a 2. The staff is rude and slow. Don’t bother trying to call in a lunch order, after waiting 7 – 10 minutes on hold, someone finally came back on the line and asked, «oh, you’re still there?». Yeah, never mind, I’ll go to smash burger, foods not as good, but service is better.

Love this place. The burger patties are great. They are crisp and have a great flavor. They have many burger combinations, but my opinion is simple is great. The burger flavor is good without being hidden under fried eggs, peanut butter, guacamole, etc.
However I did double down on the crime scene burger. Came with knife sticking out the top. The autopsy report came back… delicious!

The Food: I don’t know why it took me so long to try this place… The best hamburgers I’ve had in a long time. For me it beats 5 Guys and leaves Red Robin in the dust. The brats are super tasty and served on a simple bun with sauerkraut (lots of topping options). The fries are shoestring fries and perfectly crisp. Good eats all around :)
The Vibe: It has a small local diner vibe — the 3 times I’ve been there I noticed several customers that the cooks know by name and favorite order. The place is cozy and well maintained. The tables are kept clean and the bathroom was clean. There are a few TVs on the walls and the seats are comfortable.

Simply the Best burger EVER!!!
The juiciest, best quality meat… love the shoe string fries and love their Philly cheese steak as well.
I plan to return to try their brats… my husband and I come in from Frisco whenever we need a real burger fix.
I would definitely recommend anyone to stop by if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it! !!
