EXTREMELY CARELESS! A summary for those who prefer… ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WITHIN 5 MONTHS OF PROCEDURE — CAUSED INFECTION, POOR QUALITY CARE, ROOT CANAL FAILED, CROWN BROKE, CONTINUOUS CHANGE IN EXPLANATION, DID NOT HONOR WARRANTY, DID NOT REFUND.
This review is long over due! I almost didn’t provide my experience as I’m not one to bash others (see all other raving reviews I’ve given businesses) but I recently found out a coworker experienced very bad care and they did not honor her «lifetime warranty» as well. Had I provided this earlier I may have prevented her pain and suffering.
I was new to Flower Mound and looking for a dentist when I stumbled upon 6 Day Dental of Flower Mound. Being from a small rural Midwest state I was not familiar with the Doc in a Box concept and was simply excited to find a dentist that could see me immediately.
My reason for the visit was unfortunately tooth pain. After examination I was told the first thing I needed to do was start with the root canal on the tooth causing pain, second I needed to take care of the other major problems picked up in x-​rays (including additional root canal and an implant) and last, fill some cavities. The order immediately bothered me. I feel one should take care of pain first, second minor problems as to prevent them from turning into major problems and third procedures that aren’t causing you immediate issues/​pain but need addressing. Please note none of what was wrong was an emergency or life threatening according to them. We all know if your toilet overflowed and destroyed your floor, you do not begin replacing the floor as the toilet continues to over flow. Their approach seemed much like my above example.
When I went to the front desk to start scheduling and discussing price of all recommended treatments we were talking upward of $ 5,000.00. I was very hesitant and told her this was way more than I had expected or could really afford. At this time she sold me on being one of the few dentists that offer payment plans. She then went on to say that on top of payment plans they offer a lifetime guarantee on all dental work provided by their office and if anything at all were to go wrong it would be corrected free of charge. I was sold and agreed to start having the work done.
The first procedure was performing a root canal on the tooth causing pain. The procedure was done without incident. When I went back to have the crown placed I was in almost immediate pain and the tooth above with hitting the bottom tooth and cause the most severe pain you can imagine. I was told to take the pain medicine and it would subside. Several phone calls and 3 visits back over the course of a month they kept telling me it was normal and they would file the crown down more and more each time, prescribe pain meds and send me home. Despite telling them it was the worst pain of my life and I knew something was wrong they always sent me on my way. The crown was filed down to the point it simply didn’t touch the tooth below and finally the pain stopped. The pain was gone but I soon could taste and smell infection. I again, told them several times over a few months but was told it was fine. In 4 months my payment plan was finished and that’s when it got even worse because they completely stopped caring. It’s clearly all about money. On month 5 it was still red and even more inflamed along with a horrible taste and smell of infection. Finally the crown fell off while eating toast of all things and it revealed a disgusting puss filled infection. I called them and they got me in that day. The dentist and assistant agreed it was terribly infected and claims that it NEVER happens like this! Remember that «life time guarantee», well, when I brought that up I was told a root canal shouldn’t have been done in the first place and instead it should have been an implant. It was implied the dentist who did it was no longer working there due to things like this. I was told the guaranty only covers the same procedure to which I responded to just do the root canal again. They refused to do the root canal again and refused to cover the implant. When I asked why they wouldn’t fix the problem caused by «their dentist» they changed the story and now said it wasn’t bad quality that it was just to infected to start with. After much back and forth I asked for my money back and as you can imagine that didn’t happen and needless to say I never returned. Boy am I glad I didn’t because my new dentist took one look and was horrified at what they had done. He told me tooth infections can very easily spread and even to the brain and my infection is one of the worst he has seen. He thought it was a text book malpractice case given the quality of work he was seeing and their complete disregard of my severe pain despite me contacting and visiting their office multiple times. If you value your health DO NOT use this doc n a box! Your wellbeing comes first!

I will NEVER step foot in this place again! If you plan on spending your day at the dentist, this is the place for you! My wife and I, collectively, have spent over two hours waiting in the waiting room over the course of 3 visits. I recommend look ANYWHERE else besides here!

I am very impressed with the staff. They are friendly, professional, courteous, and a joy to be around. A very nice clean professional facility, great for kids and family. I can see why this becomes everyone’s dentist. Job well done!

Love this place. I like a place where I can get everything done under one roof. Staff is always friendly and efficient. The hygienist don’t change every time I come in. (not that often) have to say all the work I had done here has been wonderful and even the fillings were not that bad.

I was new to town and found this dentist near my home. Whenever I go in there aren’t many people there (as in patients). None in the waiting room and none in the back. I’m the only one there and it takes a good half hour to be helped. Which I think is odd. I got a call the from their office 3 hours before my set appointment to tell me that they had to reschedule it. I’m starting to think this isn’t a great place to get my teeth cleaned.
