They get the job done RIGHT. The technicians were meticulous and knew what they were doing. The office staff were friendly professional and very helpful and the owners were understanding and made me feel like I was their most important client. I highly recommend them!

Agreed with the rest of the comments. Peggy was alright at first and then began to be more combative and argumentative when you ask for more detail. I would avoid this company and look for another one unless you want to deal with frustration.

Peggy and Ricky are the best– I have been using them for years. My management company doesn’t abide by the law that requires an exterminator be sent every month, so I am constantly dealing with roaches and mice, and Dial A Bug comes to my aid every time. Peggy always gets Ricky to my apartment within a few days of my call and is extremely accommodating with my busy schedule. Ricky does a great job laying traps, spraying, replacing poison in my existing traps, etc. and is polite, conversational, and always explains everything I need to know in great detail. I strongly recommend them if you’re dealing with any kind of pests.

Dial-​A-​Bug should be called Dial-​A-​Ripoff. We called them to remove a persistent rodent problem. The guy came out, sealed some holes in the walls, put down some traps and called it a day. A few days later our furry little friends returned. We called the exterminator back, got no answer and left a message. He never called back or returned to review his shoddy work.
Because Dial-​A-​Ripoff failed to seal the deal we were forced to pay ANOTHER exterminator who thankfully understood the fine, yet simple, art of neutralizing pests.
Don’t waste your time or money with Dial-​A-​Ripoff!

Peggy and Joel are the best! I have been doing business with them for many years. I use dial a bug to inspect my Park Slope office space and my Brooklyn apartment. They bring in their adorable dog and they check every nook and cranny to make sure we are Bed Bug free and Safe. I have worked with them in many different situations and I always find that they are Informative, honest, reliable and extremely Knowledgable. I have used other Pest Control Companies in the past — and these guys are the BEST across the board. I highly recommend them and know that they are GREEN, they do their job well and never cut corners.

Dial A Bug is the sole pest vendor of my Uptown co-​op building. To comply with the policies of my building’s co-​op board and management company, I hired this firm to inspect for bed bugs. The technician entered the apartment, proceeded to throw all my couch cushions, pillows, blankets, etc. onto the floor. After a very cursory inspection, the technician found no evidence for bed bugs. He left everything on the floor and was gone.
Two months later, I am again dealing with this firm as my board is paying for a bed bug treatment. Everyone working the telephones at this company needs customer service training, professional etiquette courses, and conflict resolution education. Peggy is combative, argumentative, and prone to interruptions. The others I’ve spoken with are no better.
Because this is the pest contractor approved by my board, I am forced to again seek out their services. I would really rather go with another company. Do not hire this outfit– vote with your wallets and perhaps this company will shore up their abysmal operating procedures.
I don’t know how this lack of professionalism is tolerated or how this company remains competitive. Go elsewhere.

Thank you for being so professional, for answering all my questions, for being understanding, efficient, for seeing me through the process.
I have worked with Dial A Bug as a property manager for four years, and have always been satisfied. This week it was my mother’s apartment, and it was personal, so it gave me confidence to have a connection to such a top notch outfit.
The technicians, Peter and Dan, were prompt, thorough and focused. They were careful with all the furniture and belongings.

I am highly disgusted and disappointed with this company.
I had a Peggy from their offices call me twice today — the first time she wasn’t so bad. She told me the next appointment she had was during Monday through Friday between 9 – 5 — unfortunately I work for a living and couldn’t comply.
Once the management company of my building approved a Saturday visit she called back and was by far the NASTIEST person I have come into contact telling me that I should be happy because I’m lucky to get an appointment — I’m sorry, the last time I checked she was getting paid for a service and the only way I should be lucky is if it wasn’t costing anything.
I then called back to file a complaint, which PAUL, (very nice man) took but said Joel (Peggy’s manager /​boss… etc) was busy and he would relay the message — not quite sure if that is going to happen.
So with this all said where else should I go but on Unilocal to voice my disappointment with the customer service of this company — I’ve already put in a call to management to express my disappointment.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would!!!

I had Cinema check out my apartment. She is such a pleasant, sweet pup and her owner was very professional and helpful. They came within hours of my call and were very accomodating to my multiple phone calls and urgency in the matter. I also like that their canine division is separate from pest control: it seems that it is much more professional that way. Finally, their rate ($ 275 for the dog, $ 299 w/​tax) was reasonable and not overpriced. Would hire again.
