History

Established in 2013.

Park Avenue Bistro came about when my Uncle Raymond Lane approached my husband, David Meyer, and myself (Connie) to open another restaurant. We had David’s Mediterranean Restaurant for 18 years in Orange Park, Florida and he wanted to have a place where he could come with his friends and family that was not a chain. At first I said no, we had determined we were not going down that road again. After bringing me to lunch a few times at the location we are now in, I succumbed when my cousin Kenney Lane told me he would come in business with me. So, here we are and I am happy to be back in the business serving old favorites and current twist on a bistro by surrounding myself with excellent Chef’s whom are current with todays cuisine. We hope you try us out and be sure to ask for Connie, Kenney, Brent or Lisa.

Meet the Business Owner

Connie M.

Business Owner

I am the proud Mother of two extraordinary young women, Nana to eight grandchildren and recently Nana to a great grandson. I would never have dreamed of being in the restaurant business as my family are all in construction. I waited tables while going to college and suppose that is where I got the bug.

My husband, David Meyer, and I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. I was a partner in Pulcinella’s at Lake Asbury for over 5 years, had Connie’s Café in Green Cove Springs for over 3 years. I met David, whom had David’s Restaurant, in 1989 and we catered together and started dating. After one and a half years we married and I became his partner which we owned and operated for 20 years.

I’ m proud to say I have met many nice people along the way both in Clay County and Duval. Park Avenue Bistro is a family owned business and now I start a new chapter in my life as I learn new techniques in this industry and meeting new customers. See you soon!
