Our goal at R&A is to provide our customers with honest and reliable service.

We specialize in the service of Toyota, Honda, Subaru and Nissan vehicles.

We perform all factory recommended services including 30,000 mile and timing belt replacement. We also perform repairs on cooling, electrical, brake and other mechanical systems. We replace shocks and struts. We perform major and minor engine, transmission and differential repairs.

History

Established in 1972.

Presently owned by Bill Porter who started working at the shop in 1982 while completing his Forestry degree at NAU. In 1989 Bill purchased the shop. Long term employees include Ben Brown (1990) and Steve Galloway (1995). We are proud to announce the addition of Mike Poirier (2013). Our shop has a long term, family attitude.

Traveling through flagstaff and the check engine light was on. Steve at R&A was awesome… he diagnosed the issue for free and got us taken care of and back on the road. What people say about them on the reviews are absolutely true! Highly recommended!

I’ve been taking cars to R and A for over 15 years, and they never steer me wrong, always get the work done to perfection, always charge a fair price, and even sometimes fix small things for free. Also Steve at the front desk, in addition to being a talented auto diagnostician in his own right, is possibly the most interesting man in the world. (Sorry, Dos Equis guy.)

Taking your vehicle elsewhere is silliness.
They’ve diagnosed problems on two of our vehicles for free.
If you want mechanics that are knowledgeable, thorough, and informative– this is your spot.

If you have an import, don’t bother taking it anywhere else in Flagstaff.
Their workmanship is excellent, their technicians are efficient and knowledgeable, and I doubt if any of them even know what dishonest means.
Steve and Ben, in particular, are as good as it gets in auto repair and easily the best in Flagstaff.

Best place in Flag to get your Honda and Toyota fixed up! Probably other imports too but they’ve kept our CRV and Toyota truck running beautifully past 200,000 miles. Steve and Bill have troubleshooted some pretty weird stuff, always give cost effective advice, and just do really good work. 100 percent recommend.

5 stars says it all… I could sit here all day and write how well I have been treated at R&A. I take all three of my toyota trucks here. When they have to schedule you out 3 – 4 weeks for routine service you know they are doing something right.

The cost of mechanics is getting absolutely insane, but at R&A, they won’t screw you over with ridiculous labor costs. They are Subaru experts. Owner is very knowledgeable and open to talking in detail about issues. Not intimidating or uncomfortable. Sadly, my car needs a lot more work but based on the time they spent with me and how quickly they got me in to solve a pretty big problem, I will be back.

The first 2 times I brought my car here they didn’t even charge me. First was a noise being caused by a loose skid plate and second was brakes that didn’t need to be replaced. After that, they got my biz for my next 30,000 mile service. Customer service and mechanical work is great.
