Seven Day Auto Service

Is there anything worse than having a major mechanical breakdown while out of town? Well, that’s what I had when I got a cracked fuel pump on my Land Rover while visiting my daughter at NAU for Family Weekend a few weeks ago. Lucky for me, another mechanic shop (Advanced Auto and Tires, also great guys!!!) referred me to them as they were already overwhelmed with their Saturday customers. Carl and Ron diagnosed the problem before I had to leave town and had it fixed for a fair price in a few days (had to order the official Land Rover part, ugh). Then when it turned out that there was a minor problem once I got it back to Phoenix, they gladly reimbursed me for the additional repair, no questions asked. When does that happen??? Rarely if ever. Highly recommend. And it was nice not to be taken advantage of like a lot of mechanics will when they see an unaccompanied woman. Kudos to you and may you your business remain profitable due to your outstanding customer service.

This place is simply wonderful.
Needless to say that I’m not happy I had to go there but the service I recieved was awesome.
I was on my way with four friends to Humphrey’s peak when my car essentially died on the freeway. Luckily, someone promptly pulled over, he popped my hood and even used one of those meter things to check the charge on my battery and alternator. My Alternator was shot.
All of which I was unknowledgeable too.
He was also kind enough to refer us to O’Riley’s whom he had called and asked for a reference to a specific alternator for my 2000 Ford Focus.
When we arrived at O’Riley’s this nice man, Ben, recommended 7 Day Auto after I asked him for his opinion for a good auto shop. When I jokingly prompted him to tell me why he recommended them. He responded that they provided good labor for a surprisingly reasonable price. His genuinely seemed feel this way, so we headed there right away.
Upon arrival I find this totally older looking dude with dry humor stuffing and old fashioned tobacco pipe! He looked cool as hell. His name was Carl.
Anyways I asked him if he could possibly change out my alternator after I explained to him what had happened to us the night before. He took my information on my vehicle and started doing some math and when he was done I saw that the total was $ 488.65 or something. He picked up the pad and started to explain the total costs and that to get the alternator it would be– I cut him off and told him I already had the part needed. He looked at me and said okay, $ 97. Awesome! I told him that was great and asked him if he could give me an approximate on how long it would take. He told me that is was a simple swap and could be done today, only that it would take a while because there was people ahead of me and, that I should bring my car to get in line, the time was 10:30 or 11 AM. Fair enough.
My friend who happened to live in town took me back to his apartment and from there we planned on either going home or staying. I was expecting for it to take all day. Around 1 PM we decided to check on the car and so I called ahead and wouldn’t you know it? My car was already set to go!
When I arrived to the shop many of the cars where gone, I walked into their office I saw Carl and another mechanic eating pizza, looking like two men who had just worked super hard and deserved a lunch break! I felt a little guilty that I interrupted their lunch. I made a joke about how nice they were to order me pizza and they actually genuinely offered me slice!
Anyways, here is why I think this auto shop is great. When I came back to pick up my car and after Carl offered me a slice of pizza, when he gave me my bill he was very courteous, he told me it was relatively easy to switch out and that they checked the car to make sure everything was set and sent me on my way.
Often times I find that when it comes time for pick up from other mechanics I end up feeling very used.
7 Day Auto in Flagstaff Arizona is a very honest and affordable shop. I can recommend this to anyone who needs work done on their car. Carl has dry humor but he is very honest. Anthony is a mechanic who I had a chance to talk to and he was very kind. Julio was the mechanic that I did not meet but actually did the work on my car, my car made it home to phoenix from Flagstaff so he did good work!
They genuinely seem to care and work fast.

we went to a wedding in Flagstaff Friday night, my daughters car broke down and were told that the dealer was closed until Monday, we are from Scottsdale and there is no way we could leave the car that long, we were told about 7 day auto, what a blessing, they picked up the car, we went to the wedding, picked up the car next morning. I admit it. Guilty of reviewing when I’m really pleased or really pissed. Obviously today I’m pleased but not about the prognosis, just the business. First off, i coulda gone in Sunday cuz they’re open. How great is that?
But no. I took it in on Monday and they were slammed. But they got me right in. My rig was in there for several hours but the charge didnt show it. They were honest about needing to repair my computer problem at the dealer. Unfortunately. They got me in on the spot, were honest and gave me a fair price.

Carl, Ron and their staff diagnosed and repaired our transmission in record time for a very affordable rate. They were the only shop open on Sunday, so they an easily take advantage of the demand. They are reasonable and did great work.

I’m trying again to add this review. I had an issue driving thru Flagstaff, AZ. I was given a recommendation for Seven Day Auto from a friend. She said to ask for Carl. It was on a Saturday so not a lot of places available let alone a trustworthy one as I am not from the area to have any experience with any. I have to say this is a great place and have a great staff. They were helpful and took me as soon as I arrived due to the emergency of my situation. If you need a good and trustworthy mechanic in the Flagstaff area I greatly recommend.

On cross country trip from Phoenix to Tampa check engine light came on while driving through the hills of Flagstaff. Since we’ve had problems with this car before and it’s just my mom and I driving so we wanted to get it looked at. Not much open on a Sunday in flagstaff but thank god seven day auto was! Even though they were extremely busy they had us in and out and told us the transmission has overheated a little but if we quit drive the hills at 80mph then we would be fine. Sent us on our way with smile, friendly «have a save trip» and no charge for looking at the car! Thank you Carl!!!

I broke down on a Sunday in Williams with two small kids. Had my car towed to Seven day auto. Like the previous reviews all bays were full and they were busy. They ultimately had me up and running in no time, at a more than fair price. Thank you!!!

I broke down the last day of my vacation on my way home to Vegas. It was a Sunday. They not only fixed my car, they were kind enough to drive me to a hotel as the parts wouldn’t be available until the next day. They were reasonably priced, very informative and up front with their repairs and pricing. Being a single woman, traveling alone, to have such a great experience with an unknown shop was fabulous. These guys are the best!

I was driving by myself from California to Colorado for Thanksgiving when I broke down right outside of Flagstaff on a Saturday night. I was towed to Seven Day Auto simply because it was the only place that just might be open on a Sunday. Not only was Carl there the next morning, but he very well may have saved me over $ 2,000. When I was told my transmission had failed, I was devastated. Carl then tells me that it may be covered under warranty and to wait to do anything until Monday morning when he could contact the dealership. I am the second owner of a 2007 Nissan Sentra with about 90K mikes. Any thoughts of a warranty were ridiculous to me. Long story short, it was 100% covered and my nightmare turned in to a miracle thanks to Carl. As a woman traveling by herself, I couldn’t have gotten any luckier than being towed to Carl at Seven Day Auto. My only way of really thanking him is to write this review so he knows how much I appreciate his kindness and honesty. Thank you, Carl!

Broke down 1.5hr away from the shop and barely made it 20min before closing time on Sunday (no other shops are even open this day). Carl and his guys took a look and barely tapped the engine before it was running again. Didn’t charge us anything since it was an easy fix (and didn’t need any extra parts) but they saved our trip back to CA! Although they are very strict on closing hours, they spared us some extra time. All in all excellent and honest service. Thank you!!!

The first time I took my car there I had a check engine light. They spend about 30 minutes looking at codes and checking belts and hoses and couldn’t find the problem. They didn’t charge me a cent.
So my all my auto needs are brought to Ron and Carl now and I couldn’t be happier. After trying one place after another feeling like I’m getting taking advantage of because I’m a lady, I found a place that is honest, reasonably priced and willing to explain stuff.
Aside from the fact they are open 7 days a week, I know when I go there, am getting top notch expertise with friendly and honest folks.

I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. Been taking my vehicles there for years and will continue to. They always take care of the issue and are extremely honest and reasonable. Open 7 days a week!

Wasnt sure what was wrong with my car. wouldnt idle unless i reved the engine for about 5 mins. took it to 7 day auto because of the reviews. found out my fuel filter was clogged they replaced that. said my car was good to go. next day my car wouldnt start at all. a few times it started but just stalled on me every time i was at a light. they said it was my starter. they replaced that. it was good for about a day and then problems kept happening. woundnt start, wouldnt stay idol nothing. i moved to a different town and my father in-​law pointed out the started was loose and screw holding the wires were loose. i tightened those and now that car is running. the owner had this smerk on his face when i asked if everything was good when he gave the keys. kinda weird. i suspect they did it on purpose to make me go back there and charge me for a fuel pump or something. i do not trust them and i reported them.
