While most inspections we perform are tailored to real estate transactions, we can inspect a home or business for many different reasons. Our inspections and our reports are more comprehensive than many other Inspectors will provide. Legacy’s clients appreciate our commitment to their satisfaction by spending as long as it takes to answer all questions and provide a more in-​depth report as they are potentially about to make one of the largest purchases of their lives.

History

Established in 2014.

Founder and Inspector, Bretton T Austin has always been involved in construction. Leaving Architecture studies at Purdue University, Bretton became a Residential & Commercial Carpentry Foreman by age 21 for one of Phoenix’s largest construction firms. From there he was drafted into High-​Rise Commercial Project Management and then onto a pinnacle career at the U.S. Department of Energy. Deciding to start Legacy, he left the Department in 2013. While the company may appear young, the experience that it has acquired is unmatched in the Home Inspection Industry.

Bretton Austin formed Legacy Home Inspection & Appraisal LLC after nearly 20 years in Construction Project Management. Originally an Architecture student at Purdue University, Bretton moved to Phoenix, AZ at age 18 and began building custom homes as a carpenter. By age 21, Bretton was a foreman building more than a home a week for one of Phoenix’s largest home builders. From there he moved into Project Management as a Superintendent for a General Contractor specializing in High-​Rise Commercial Buildings in downtown Phoenix. By age 30, Bretton accepted a position as a Home Inspector at the Department of Energy specializing in Energy Efficiency Auditing. After almost 5 years there he left to start his own Legacy. With almost 20 years in the building industry, Bretton has managed multi-​million dollar building projects, built some of the most extreme custom homes in AZ, and Inspected hundreds homes in the public sector. Creating Legacy Home Inspection was just a matter of time.
