History

Established in 1985.

Shepard’s Service Center started as an automotive repair and gasoline service station in Finksburg, Maryland.

In 1998, we devoted all of our time to automobile and light truck repair allowing us to meet more of our customer’s needs.

In 2010, we moved to a new convenient location, 3226 Baltimore Blvd. Finksburg, to better serve our customers. Our renovated repair facility is equipped with all of the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.

Today, our highly qualified technicians attend training institutions to maintain knowledge of the latest systems and their A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications. These certifications include engine performance, computer diagnosis, anti-​lock brake systems, suspensions, wheel alignments, vehicle emissions and many other areas concerning today’s complex vehicles. We enjoy repairing automobiles and warranty all of our parts and labor. All makes and models, foreign or domestic, cars or light trucks, we handle your auto repair needs.

Business Owner

Judd Shepard III grew up fascinated by cars and everything motorized. As a young child, he remembers watching sprint and other racecars on trailers pass by their home on the way to Lincoln Speedway for Saturday night races. Judd dreamed to drive those racecars one day and at the age of 11 he began racing WKA and WKC go-​karts. His dream to be a racecar driver started to be realized. Numerous wins and top finishes were compiled and at the age of 17 Judd strapped into a full size sprint car. For the next 20 years, Judd raced and won against the Pennsylvania Posse’s very best.

As one can imagine, this passion and addiction for cars carried over to his daily work life. Judd has worked for his dad, founder of Shepard Service Center since he was 15. Starting as a helper and eventually, after many hours of training and classes, Judd became a certified Automotive Technician. Working closely with his dad, Judd took over the family business in 2006 and has built the company to what it is today.
