Treatment for eye infections and the management of glaucoma is also available. Co-​management for most surgeries is also provided by our clinic.

Established in 1996.

Began in 1996, Dr. Kent Risk founded Risk Optometric associates to provide eye exams inside Walmart. Today, with 8 locations and 15 doctors we have provided over 100,000 eye exams to patients in North Carolina.

Business Owner

Dr. Kent Risk graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1994. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his years of service to the community. For years he wrote a Dear Abby Letter explaining eye diseases and phenomenon associated with the eyes. He has sat on several boards relating to optometry and is a member of American Optometric Association.
