Ballet at the Heritage offers classical ballet classes for ages four through adult. Pre-Ballet through pre-professional training for dedicated students. Adult beginning and jazz are included in our program. Performance opportunities for all students.

History
Established in 2001.
Through the guidance of our experienced instructors, some of our students have been accepted to the most exclusive summer pre-professional ballet programs in the country, such as the Joffrey Ballet, Westside Ballet, and San Diego Ballet. Former students have also attended or graduated from prestigious university dance programs at UC Irvine, USC, San Diego State, CSU Long Beach and Fullerton, Chapman University, and Seattle’s Cornish Institute of the Arts and the University of Washington.
Ballet at the Heritage is proud to produce quality performances of original and traditional choreography promoting the classical and contemporary skills of our dancers.
Our students have performed in ballets such as «The Nutcracker», «Sleeping Beauty», «Paquita», and «Peter and the Wolf», as well as other classical and contemporary works and musical theater.

Charlou Riggan– Director
Charlou began studying ballet at the age of five at the Cornish School of Allied Arts in Seattle, and continued as a dance major at the University of Washington. She has danced with ballet, modern and jazz companies, opera and musical theatre and in television.
Charlou has taught all levels of ballet for over 40 years, including Madrona Dance Center and University of Washington in Seattle, Stanley Holden Dance Center, Dupree Dance Center and Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, and Pasadena Dance Center and Le Studio in Pasadena.
She has directed ballet at the Heritage since 2001.
