From the receptionist to the dentist this place is 5 star!!! When my daughter needed a tooth pulled (6 yrs old) she and I were very anxious, but doctor Shohreh was so calm and soothing and before we could blink it was over! The second time she had a tooth pulled I was hesitant because it can be pricey and they told me they could do it without using gas (which is most of the cost) I wasn’t sure but she pulled it off no pain, very easy, very calm. Flash forward 1 year later, she just had 3 teeth pulled today and it was done in no time no anxiety and they asked my daughter what movie she would like to watch on demand during the procedure, it was awesome! Also there was a very scared little boy and they had the receptionist and 3 assistants helping the mom to get his x-​rays. Dr. Shohreh is not pushy at all which I love! She suggested a retainer for my daughter a couple years ago and I said I’d like to wait until she’s older and that was that. She respected my decision. Also when we first started going here I was skeptical about radiation from x-​rays so I declined and they never questioned me or forced them.
The receptionist is always mindful of school holidays and tries to get us in when the kids won’t miss school.
Highly recommend this practice!

Do not ever think to go here. Inhuman (as a doctor), expensive and her practice doesn’t care about patients. I wish I could give her (practice) no star. All positive stars are fake.

Our kids have been going here for years and they’ve always been great! The women at the front desk are very friendly and efficient. I actually enjoy taking my kids there. Dr. Sharif has always been pleasant, professional, and easy to discuss things with. Very happy!
Recently, my teenage son had a couple seizures within a month and needed to have his braces temporarily removed for an MRI. Their office made what could have been an expensive, time consuming, complicated process in an emotional time easy. I received a call from one of the doctors to discuss and they fit my son in and made it happen. Great place to take your kids!

Dr sharif was very cold and rude and she literally put down Breastfeeding and told me to «stop that stuff» for my 1 year old!!! She is backwards thinking and uneducated in this matter and has an unpleasant bedside manner.

Everyone at this Dentist office is top rate, from the front desk to the dental techs, and all the way up to the doctors themselves.
My children have seen both Dr. Sharif and Dr. Pearson and both have been very patient, especially with my four year old, who, based on his extensive dental experience, had multiple suggestions for how the doctors should do their job when treating him.
When my 4 year old needed a filling, Dr. Pearson was extremely patient, and didn’t make me feel like I was a horrible parent when my son suddenly possessed the strength of three men and put up a fight.
Aside from the dental care they provide, they also have plenty of entertainment for the children, including toys and games in the lobby and plenty of televisions with netflix access to childrens shows on large screen TVs for each chair.
Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Definitely recommend!

Been taking my children to this practice for sometime after pediatric dentist being so non kid friendly. After reading an article about all women practice office and all felt my children will get better service than male doctor. Every 6 months visit of cleaning wasn’t so bad. With high tech equipments of Apple TV to attract kids attention serves it’s purpose. However, with any complicated treatment gets involved gets where they only see kids as a walking $ signs. My gosh has anyone heard of «behavior guidance» charge before? Well I certainly have not. So I ask the meaning of this charge. During the treatment when child gets too overly excited, holds time or gets involved to bring in more help will resolve into this charge. WHAT! Isn’t this reason why we bring them to see a PEDIATRIC DENTIST! I mean they specialized so they can charge more to insurance and part of our co-​pay, isn’t it? But sneak in this charge that’s not covered by insurance so they can collect more $at the end of treatment. And top of that they also charge sedation service fee in which I had to remind their staff about ordering in the medicine at least 4 business days prior. And still don’t get it done not until the day before the appointment. When most pharmacies don’t even carry them and require 24 hours. Bottom line is after taking my children this office for regular cleaning service is OK. But when it comes to cavity treatment that’s when they start charging $$ bucks so that they can collect out of pocket fees. So turned off by their greed and call themselves pediatric dentist.

The incident happened, no one is denying that. Once it was clear that I knew what happened, the Doctor personally became involved and sorted everything out. Eventually, we ironed everything out. They explained to me how they changed their office procedures to assure it never happened again and disciplinary actions. The remaining work was completed as I preferred. Overall, nothing was wrong with my kid, but the initial lying made me irate. I’m also satisfied the changes in their procedures will make sure this does not happen again. We have kept going to see Dr. Shariff ever since then and have received top notch care. I will continue to see her until my kids age out of her care or until insurance changes.

I recently tried out a different dentist (Let’s Smile Fairfax) because of the location and décor and I quickly regretted my decision to try another dentist. Shohreh Sharif’s office while cozy in appearance the hygienists are very kind and gentle. My one little one for some reason was not a fan of the fluoride and threw up, they not only made him feel comfortable again, but found him a replacement shirt to wear. the hygienists do a thorough job of cleaning the teeth and are quick too to minimize discomfort. The dentist was very nice and kind to not just my children but to all the children I see her deal with. I would recommend this dentist.

Good practice… treated the kids gently, were patient, and had plenty of distracters to make the visit pleasant for patient and parent. After a bad experience with another pediatric dentist, I can definitely endorse this office.

I went to her for a second opinion on my 4 year old who needed a root canal. It turned out she was the only practice in the area that actually used the Fairfax Inova hospital to use anesthesia on my son (which insurance covers.) Most dental practices use a traveling anesthesiologist, olympic anesthesia, who won’t schedule any earlier than noon (but your kid can’t eat for 6 hours before that.) Somehow he considers that reasonable.
Anyway, it took several months to get a hospital appointment but after the procedure, she called personally twice to check up on my son and see how he was doing. I really appreciated that level of care.

I’ve been to three pediatric dentists in two years and this was the best. Very patient, completely dedicated to children, and my son got a very thorough exam. My first visit i even found a valpak coupon, not sure if that’s still running, but I just made my second appt.
