Ron’s Movers should never be used for a move.
We moved interstate from MD to VA and had Ron’s pack and move us.
Ron’s did not offer me insurance in advance of the move. Ron’s also did not give me information required – by law – for an interstate move.
Ron’s broke a door to my buffet hutch, damaged an armoire, packed a jewelry box with glass doors without wrapping the doors (which broke), packed a wine glass at the bottom of a box (which broke) and packed a family heirloom glass improperly (which broke.).
When I called Ron’s to report the claim, they told me I could only get $ 100 back from them since I did not purchase additional insurance. They said I signed the «insurance information» space on the form saying that I understood this, which I did not — I am holding their receipt in front of me. All they had told me before the move was that they were bonded and insured.
Please do not use this mover. Their activities are nothing short of illegal.

Ms. Lane was very rude and abrupt on the phone. Told me to find another mover because I questioned their exorbitant fees for obtaining an insurance certificate. They want professional level fees, but don’t have the professional level of customer service etiquette.

I have used this company for two moves (whole house of furniture, boxes and a piano) and they are excellent: courteous, careful with my furniture and efficient. Plus the prices are better than some of the bigger well-​known movers that I have used in the past. Highly recommend. Deb Y.

I just used Ron’s moving service this past weekend. It was a rainy morning and they wrapped everything up very carefully. They were professional and very efficient.
I would highly recommend them.

We had a short move on the same street, so only needed a crew to help us move the furniture and all boxes. They did a good job disassembling and assembling the furniture. The movers took good care of walls just recently painted and floors freshly done (this was the think I was most worried about before the move). Recommended.

Ron’s moving was incredible for my move from Arlington to Leesburg. His team was friendly, professional and efficient. If you want your move to go smooth, Ron is your man.

We used Ron’s moving several years ago when we moved from 2 separate apartments in Alexandria to our house in Fairfax. The estimate was great and the movers were the hardest working bunch of guys I’ve ever seen. They were quick and careful and actually took less time than expected (even after helping me reassemble some furniture!)
Friends of ours recently used Ron’s when moving from Fairfax to Vienna. There was an unexpected issue at their closing, and they had to wait several hours to get into the new house. Ron and company were professional and understanding and made a stressful situation bearable.
Hopefully, we won’t be moving anytime soon, but if we do, we’ll definitely call on Ron’s Moving again!
