Absolutely horrible! Never use this company they damaged my antique dolls and refuse to file a claim with their insurance company! I approached the owner in person and he lied and said «Burgess mills was responsible» fighting with this company for 2 ½ years

If I could give them zero stars, I would — they are completely unreliable. Two movers were scheduled to arrive at 11 am on 1÷1÷15 to help for 2 hours. I got a call at 10:40 saying that one of them was «sick» and wasn’t going to show up. They had no replacement for the no show, and the only solution they offered was to have movers come the next day to finish anything we couldn’t handle ourselves. This would have been fine, except it would have cost another 24 hour truck rental and a hotel room, in addition to a days wages lost for a day out of work. When I pointed this out, the only comment from the owner of the company was «I’m really embarrassed and I don’t know what to say.»
I understand that we were moving on New Year’s Day, and that is inconvenient; however, you entered into a contract with me that you subsequently broke because your employees felt that it was more important to go out on NYE than it was to honor a job for which they themselves had signed up through the bidding system on a service website.
I will be absolutely sure to actively recommend against using this company to anyone that asks.

HORRIBLE! I booked two guys for 3 hours to move me out of my small studio apartment. I have moved several times before and that is about the amount of time it has taken in the past. Well, it took them 3 hours to pack me up and one of the guys spent 15 – 20 minutes of that time in my bathroom (yes, on the clock). They moved at a very leisurely pace and I could hear them criticizing how I packed my TV when they were down the hallway.
The 15 – 20 minute drive to my new place took them 3 hours and they did not arrive to my new place until 9:00 at night. They didn’t know where they were going (even though they had the address) and I had to get on the phone with them 5 – 6 times before they finally figured out where my apt. was. They then took 2.5 hours to move me into my new place and tried to charge me for an hour of driving. I sat outside waiting for them for almost 3 hours.
I got back to my old apartment at midnight to find that the one guy had clogged my toilet and had not fixed it or told me about it, so it had been sitting there for 6 hours. Disgusting. I had to plunge it and clean it up, great ending to a horrible 9 hour moving experience.
I called Swiftway and left several messages asking them to call me back. It’s been over a week, still no word from them. My boyfriend moved 2 days later with different movers (also only 2 guys) and they got him out of his old place and into his new place in under 3 hours. It took Swiftway 9 hours to move me. NEVER AGAIN!

The movers themselves were great — very efficient and friendly. They were an hour late which was quite annoying, but at least gave me a call well ahead of time. I did find a few scratches on my dresser when I looked later, but I suppose that’s bound to happen during a move. I definitely would have done worse. My 2 TVs were in excellent condition, thank goodness, and nothing else was damaged. Just be sure to check their «included» fees, which actually are extra, not included. I was charged a $ 99 «travel time» fee that they didn’t make clear when I made the reservation, in addition to a $ 49 fuel charge that they told me about, even though I was moving 2 miles away. Those extra charges I thought were pretty ridiculous for such a short move (3 hrs total), but they don’t charge a truck fee like other companies do. Overall, it was a fine experience, better than moving myself, and I was expecting worse, but I will probably use someone else next time.

The movers are awesome. We packed ourselves, and just hired them to move us. The movers showed up on time and got started right away. They disassembled and reassembled everything. They were very polite, they moved us (local move) in 5 hours.
