I do not have enough time to write down in detail the all of the reasons our recent experience with Offenbachers was HORRIBLE! If I could give them zero stars I would. We ordered a new front to our fireplace. We placed our order on January 24th and were told it would take 6 weeks but to check back in 2 weeks. We called 2 weeks later and were told everything was on track for the 6 week delivery(March 7). As it got closer to March 7th we called the store several times and had to leave messages that were ignored. Finally we spoke to the manger and were told it wouldn’t be delivered until 4⁄21?! I went into the store and after the manager made some phone calls and I demanded to know what he learned I found out they didn’t actually place our order with the manufacturer until February 24th — a full month after they took our large deposit. Not to mention, they lied to us when we called 2 weeks after we placed our order because in reality they still hadn’t submitted the order to the manufacturer so they had no idea when it would be delivered. We called their corporate offices and they were just as rude and useless. They repeatedly told me they were going out of their way to help us by paying for expedited shipping from the manufacturer — if they had placed the order when they took our deposit there wouldn’t be a reason for expedited shipping. Everything about this experience was horrible and I will never again buy anything from Offenbachers. If you look at other negative reviews written about them and the company response, you see that they have horrendous customer service. Save your time, money and sanity and go to Lawn and Leisure — I definitely wish we had.
