Mighty Men Moving

I am always hesitant to leave a negative review, especially for a company with whom I have yet to receive services. This will be my exception. I called for an estimate on moving a 3-​bedroom townhouse which is fully packed. I am moving less than 2 miles away, mid-​week and this is not a last minute move. The person I spoke with told me that it would take 6 – 8 hours. I tried to explain that I didn’t have much furniture and how close the locations were to one another, and maybe 2 – 3 hours was a more reasonable estimate. The gentleman hung up the phone on me. Unprofessional and rude.

I rescheduled my move date a couple of times but Emmanuel stayed patient and helped find days/​times that worked for me. John and two other movers showed up right on time the morning of the move and they were very friendly, helpful, professional and quick. I added an additional drop off location but the guys were able to make it happen for just a couple of dollars over the estimated price. I will definitely use Mighty Men Moving again. Thanks guys!!!

We had their service for a two bed apartment. A little more expensive than other services we used in the past, but the price is transparent with no hidden cost. They arrived on time, and took great care of our furniture and plants!

Showed up on time. I think they tried, but in the end it’s just another moving scam company. Ended up taking them 2x as long quoted at $ 800 ended costing $ 1800. They were told what to expect, but unfortunately they really are not able to move real furniture. I’m sure they are ok moving a small apt or 1 – 3 rooms with light furniture. I also had a dog to take care off, so was difficult waiting for them to finish because it was to heavy for them. I would pass or your going to pay way more than you think, take longer than planned, and get some Knicks and scraps on your good furniture. Wanted to like these guys because they are nice, but it is what it is

I never thought I would give 5 stars to a moving company, but Mighty Men Moving deserves it! From the timely response with an accurate quote, to efficiently and safely moving all of our items, they couldn’t have done a better job.
We have some very heavy, fragile items that my husband I am were concerned about moving. MMM listened to my concerns, and handled the items as if they were the owners.

The guys are unbelievable (John T, Walt H, Jeremy R, and Aaron O). They were super fast and extremely carful with all of our belongings. We moved from a 3 bedroom house in Alexandria to a 4 story town house in DC, which required carrying very heavy furniture and bulky items up several flights of narrow stairs. Most notably, they were able to get our extremely fragile 1890s grand piano safely from one place to the other without damaging it (which also required carrying up/​down several sets of stairs and a narrow alley). I can’t be thankful enough for their attentiveness and expertise. If I ever need to move again, they will be the first people I call!!! THANKS Guys… You are mightier than I could have ever imagined :-)

Quality movers. Showed up on time and moved all of my items with care. If I had to move again, I would definitely hire Mighty Men again. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny.

Words can’t express how impressed my husband and I were with Mighty Men Moving. From the moment I emailed them inquiring about their services to the day of the move, everything was easy and stress free. I’ve never seen movers handle furniture with such care… not one item was scratched or damaged. They were polite, efficient, and very skilled. First rate service from start to finish. Arrived on time and worked very fast but took extra care making sure everything was wrapped made the move with one two broken dishes (our packing fault, not theirs). Would definitely use again and recommend.

I was totally dreading moving day but MMM made my experience a positive one and I had no drama or issues. We moved from a pretty packed townhome to a single family in 8 hours (including one hour of travel). The guys were hard working and very considerate… worth every penny. I highly recommend MMM!

Mighty Men moving just moved our stuff from Herndon, VA to Gainesville, VA. Having used many movers before, I have never seen any moving company as professional and making moves as painless as possible! Emmanuel gives you no-​nonsense estimates and that’s exactly what you pay! Nothing more, nothing less. They take extremely good care of your stuff! Highly recommend them anytime!

Walter and Jorge are golden, and I would definitely want to have them helping me with my next move. They had to put up with a bunch of nonsense trying to get their truck into our loading dock, but had a great attitude the whole time.

We recently hired Mighty Men based on a referral and the online reviews… they lived up to the hype! They were incredible from start to finish. Emmanuel gave us a quote that was less than we had received from other companies and it was spot on. To start, the showed up 15 mins early, which was perfect. We had a team of 3 guys and they never stopped moving. The furniture wrapping was done perfectly. Each piece of furniture was wrapped carefully and then packed carefully. This move went SO smoothly and the crew was super careful with our furniture. Our house is 3 stories and there wasn’t a ding on the wall. Additionally they were all very friendly and respectful of our belongings. I would highly recommend using Mighty Men Moving.

Emmanuel took the time to look at all our stuff before giving us an estimate. The guys were nice, polite, and sooooo efficient! It took 2 – 3 hours less than estimated with travel time and going to 2 locations! My husband and I just stayed out of their way and they were great!!! Tip-​it helps to have everything packed and organized so they can just load up and go!

Just opened my ABF trailer in Fort Worth and wow-​nothing seems to have budged an inch. Jorge and his partner packed it high and tight with some serious mad skills. They actually used a foot less than I was allotted in the trailer, saving me money! They were also great on the load-​in side: arrived at my place 15 minutes early, moved everything quickly but carefully, and augmented my own (unpracticed) wrapping skills when necessary. Would hand down use them again if I had stayed in the DC area (and we’ve already recommended them to a friend).
Update: We’re in the process of unpacking and everything has survived the move in perfect condition. I’ve heard some horror stories about using ABF-​if they aren’t packed right, things can easily get damaged. Thanks to Mighty Men, I’m not one of them. Great job!

I agree with Heathers post from 2 months ago. I, too, gave moved about 7 or 8 times in the last 10 years and tired so many movers from CA to VA and Mighty Men is THE BEST!!! Fast, efficient, has a strong desire to do the job fast. No fiddling around. I will use them over and over again.
For local mover, let me tell you local movers used during last 3 years…
Suburban Solutions– sorry to say this but they are crooks in my opinion. You can tell by the techniques they pull to extend time on moving day. Their quote is really far off as well.
ALS Moving– Kap is awesome but too bad the guys he books for the job is completely incompetent. Of the past 10 years of using various movers, his guys are the worst. They carry one box at a time (no seriously I’m not kidding) and I’ve never had so many damages. ALS covered almost $ 1000 of damages.
Mighty Movers– profession, experienced, efficient, seems to be interested in just getting the job done. Very easy to work with. I even like how easy their driving time calculations work. Pretty simplistic.
Will definitely recommend these guys and use them again. Great job guys!

Emmanuel was a pro from the start of this process his quote was right on the money. The movers Walt, JT, and one more (who’s name I didn’t catch) worked like crazy all the way though the move.
Very professional, very quick, and very careful. They walked in asked what needed to go and BAM they were working right away.
The move wasn’t easy either, they moved out a basement of a house with annoying stairs to a 4^th floor walk up. I was amazed how quickly they worked especially considering they charge by the hour.
If you need movers this is your company. Hands down the best moving experience I have ever had. Will use again when I move next. Shout out to Jorge for the referral and the recommendation!

I have moved about 14 times in my life. And these guys are THE BEST EVER, ANYWHERE. They were prompt, courteous, careful, quick and thorough. Cost came in UNDER QUOTE for their EXCELLENT WORK. I will use them again and recommend them to EVERYONE.

The 2 guys (John and Morgan) that helped move everything were such sweethearts. They wrapped all of my stuff carefully yet quickly in those thick moving blankets and secured it with tape. They were extremely cognizant of walls and corners, nothing was scratched or dinged and they were moving a king size bed frame!
I would highly recommend this company for their amazing customer service, price point, and stellar performance on job.

Great movers, good price for the service. They are really nice and really fast! they pad everything with blankets and then walked everything up a 3 floor walk up without losing anything! We would definitely use them again and again
