Baby Blossom

All sales final. My husband and I were initially thrilled to find a local e-​store that had the nursery furniture that was sold out at other online locations. Unfortunately, we had to work very hard over the last month to receive calls back — from our initial inquiry prior to our online purchase and the many follow up calls we made to determine the status of our online order — without reply.
Once we got a hold of someone, we were informed that despite what our receipt reads, the order would not be shipped to our house but to the Baby Blossom warehouse in Fairfax. Additionally, we would be charged a delivery fee for the cost from the warehouse to our door (not a charge listed on our receipt or processed through the website).
We requested waiver of the delivery charge in consideration of the delays and frustrating customer service experience to date. After some discussion, Baby Blossom knocked $ 20 off the delivery charge and instructed to await a delivery scheduling (another 7 — 10 days on the calendar) call within the next couple of hours. That was three days ago and we’re still waiting.
When we learned that Wayfair had the same furniture for less $ with free delivery, we were abruptly notified that all orders are final when we tried to cancel with Baby Blossom. No refund will be granted if we cancel. We’ve never had to work so hard to spend so much.
In the meantime, baby is here. But the nursery furniture is not.

We visited the store for the first time today and had an excellent experience. We called before visiting, inquiring about two strollers. We spoke to David and he asked important questions to ensure we were comparing products that would be useful for us. In the store, David was extremely knowledgeable, down to factories, manufacturing, and warranties. In the end he offered to ship our purchase to us so we wouldn’t have to drive back 45 minutes form where we live.
The store is laid out nicely and carry products in a wide price range. They also carry harder to find items you won’t find in chain stores. Baby Blossom offers an extra year of warranty on some products and the perks and high level of customer service you would expect from a family owned business are there. I highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

The staff at this store are excellent and really care about putting you into the right gear for you. They have excellent high quality gear and will help you with fittings and the like. Moms, if you have questions about baby gear, they will be able to take good care of you. Unfortunately, high quality baby equipment tends to be relatively pricey, but you often get what you pay for when it comes to baby gear. We were fortunate to find this lovely shop.

My wife and I have visited this store several times over the last 2 or so years. Each time we have gone we have had a five start experience. We purchased our toddler car seat, a double stroller, an umbrella stroller and an assortment of other odds and ends over the course of our visits.
The store is on the small side but their select of cribs, strollers, and car seats is well curated. The product knowledge and help available at this store is amazing and the experience is far better than going to a big baby box store where you are overwhelmed with options and underwhelmed with help navigating it all.
Yes, sometimes we have had to patiently wait our turn because people were ahead of us or the team members were juggling multiple customer but unlike a previous reviewer who expected special treatment because of her past purchases or how much she might have spent compared to someone else, we prefer the customer service tactic of treating each customer kindly and equitably.
I am sure we will be back! Kudos for a great example of the small guy doing well in the market!

Just one word, amazing!
We had a very great experience with the customer service, David and his wife were both very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They have a variety of selection for stroller and car seats (a bit on the higher-​end) but all are unique and mostly modern.
We appreciated their patience and the ability to work within our budget and taste and helped us select what was right for us. I would definitely a visit if you’re in the market for anything baby related.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Walked into their store today looking for a baby shower gift only to find no one in sight to ask for suggestions. I walked around for about 5 minutes and still found no one. I ended up walking to the back of the store only to hear the employees chatting away in a back room. The bell to the store went off when I walked out just as it did when I walked in. Very disappointing, not coming back.

Helpful staff, very hands on service. Especially if you are shopping for strollers or car seats. Many samples in the store. Recommended.

Upscale items, staff is always rude and unhelpful. They also seemed slightly horrified that my child wanted to peruse their book selection. For the prices they charge, I would go to Dawn Price Baby where they have a lot of the same items but the staff is always helpful and kind.

After having a horrible time with another baby store, I sought out to find an independent baby store. Thank you Unilocal reviewers — I came to check out Baby Blossom.
Service — I knew going in to avoid 1 person and look for a male, hopefully David. My husband and I found him, and we think it’s him, because he was very helpful and informative.
Price — They have high-​end items that you would not see at Babies R Us. BuyBuyBaby has some, but this store has it all. I noticed the good items they have, few were marked down remarkably and you can score a good deal on a light stroller or car seat. Utilize their 10% off Unilocal deal upon check in, to get a better saving!
Other — We bought a Stokke baby carrier, Chicco car seat conversion of Baby Jogger, and K’Tan size S, but they had to be ordered. David was kind enough to place an order and call us when it arrived at the store. Great customer service! He also put together the car seat conversion and all we had to do was attach them to the stroller — talk about going above and beyond! *claps*

See Matt! We went in to look at stroller options. I’ve been overwhelmed online and needed some help. After attempts t buy buy baby and similar stores I looked up a small store that could actually tell me about strollers. Matt knew everything we asked him. I asked way more questions than if we were buying a car. He told us to think about it, come back and test drive some more. We were very pleased with Matt’s help!

I rarely write reviews but my experience with this store was frustrating enough for me to warn other Moms/​Dads-​to-​be.
This store is 5-​stars for their product knowledge and product selection (not product inventory, but brands they offer). The amazing experience ends there. It’s why this is a 2– star rating and not a 1.
Do NOT set up your baby registry here. It will take a month for it to be set up and then people can only access it via Safari browser. Most people were confused by the 5 step process to access the registry so we didn’t get anything we registered for! What was the point of spending 2 hours in the store registering when no one can access it?!
Pre-​paying for items that aren’t in stock does NOT guarantee you’ll be getting the item when it does get in. This was the MOST frustrating part! A friend called the store to buy an item off the registry and we went in to pre-​pay for large items we needed and didn’t receive. I called when THE STORE TOLD US the items would be in and they DID NOT have the stuff! The items were purchased over a month before the baby was due. We were now 2 weeks away from the baby being due. I was told they would be in the next week when they got their next shipment. So I called the day the shipment came in and asked they put aside the items we PRE-​PAID for so we could pick them up. We went in when I said I’d be in and THEY SOLD the items! Apparently pre-​paying doesn’t mean anything!
We ended up «returning» the items we never received and purchased the stuff from another specialty baby store. And THE BEST part is Baby Blossom called me WHILE I was in the hospital having the baby to ask «your items are in, do you still want them?» I reminded them that they had already processed the returns and given us our money back so why would I still want them?
Go here to educate yourself about baby products but then leave the store! You will save yourself from headaches and frustration!

I wanted a crib that was non-​toxic in it’s construction and finishes. I came to Baby Blossom because they carried the brands I was looking for. David was very helpful in walking me through the price points and options, and his knowledge surpassed what I found at big box stores. I happily purchased my crib, dresser, and a couple other items that day. I had previously done a lot of research into the best brands for each baby item I need (teethers, toys, mattresses, etc.) and I found that Baby Blossom carried them all. They have an eye for items that are safe and non-​toxic, which is exactly what I am looking for. I will definitely be back!

I called beforehand, because coming out from DC there were 2 specific strollers I wanted to compare: the Urbo 2 and the Bee3. The lady, who was rather gruff, confirmed they had both on the show floor.
I showed up that weekend, and they had neither to show… the older model of the bugaboo bee, and the sales person actually mentioned they never had the Urbo 2 but was expecting them in a few weeks.
The lady at the desk, who I believe is the owner, just straight up lied to me. I left the shop immediately. Shop was small, not much selection, and they lost my business.

I would give this store 5 stars for its inventory, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. THe man who owns the place is very nice, must stay, but he and his partner may need to learn more about how to handle regular customers who have spent thousands of dollars in their store. Heck, when they come in to have something installed and you are working with a customer who hasn’t bought a thing yet, you might interrupt this potential customer, tell them that you have a very regular customer that had an appointment for an install, and maybe that customer wh has already spent thousands at your store will vouch for you and tell the potential customer how great you are. But instead, since you already had the regular customer’s money, they became second class citizens. Not a good way to treat your shoppers.
Also, i had bought some stuff for my newborn baby there last summer, one was a sound machine. Well, this sound machine just decided to stop working, at my baby suddenly stopped sleeping through the night. So, I brought it back, but since they didn’t have that particular products in stock, they couldn’t replace it nor could they give me a refund. They tried to fix it themselves, but couldn’t, so the owner just gave me the address of the company and told me to call them about it. Really? I am getting about 4 hours of sleep a night, the last thing I have the tie for is calling some useless customer service line. So basically, this store does not stand by their products, if they break on the customer, oh well, sorry… deal with it yourself. This makes me feel that they take advantage of weary, tired and desperate parents,… not a good business model.
Nonetheless, I like the brands they carry, so I still bought a $ 900 stroller there as well as a $ 400 car seat. I won’t be spending another penny there though, just because they treated me like crap when I wanted to pick up the car seat. I paid for the car seat in full and had it ordered, they told me it should arrive by a Friday, and I was in there on a Monday. It didn’t arrive until three weeks later. Ok, so I asked if there was anything they could do for me to make up for the inconvenience, their answer «no, the Italians don’t do anything like that.» But the owner isn’t an Italian and he gave me the wrong information when I bought the seat, he told me it would be there within 5 days, so he’s like «sorry, your problem» after he had my money. t Then, when I went to have it installed finally, they were so busy trying to make new sales that I was a last priority, how dare I inconvenience them, they are trying to make a new sale after all? it seemed, they couldn’t care less, they were more concerned about making the next sale, and who knows if that potential buyer ever bought it. Sooo, maybe they should treat their regular customers a bit better.

If you like the hippest and the greatest in child care like I do, this is the place! Found the sought after mima xari stroller that’s not available anywhere… Not to mention the many other strollers u only see in Europe. My baby is in love w the new tokidoki clek fllo car seat! (Comes with installation) Cutest toys and clothes! Fabulous customer service. Thank you David for your knowledge and patience and quick service. We will be back!

Seriously this is the best baby store ever. They carry all the top baby products, best brands, you can see them right there in the store and the customer service was amazing. I came in expecting to buy the most expensive stroller, but they actually steered me towards a different one I never would have even looked at after hearing what our needs are. And good thing because our toddler would have already outgrown that other stroller and we would not have been happy. we absolutely love our bumbleride double wide stroller we went with! We take it everywhere and the kids feel like royalty in it!
The sales guys really listen and try to help and offer great suggestions. I also compared their prices to everywhere else including Amazon and baby blossom had the best price! I wish I knew about this store while I was still pregnant. This will always be my go to store for my baby gear and supplies. They have the cutest newborn hats too! And the kids toys are also great in selection.
I did experience a very rude lady on the phone when I first called. I called to get pricing of one of the strollers that is priced out in pieces since I didn’t understand how they did it online – and this lady just said «why don’t you just look it up online?» And made it out like it was a stupid question to be calling about. I was ready to not even go to the store based on this experience but then a really nice gentleman called me back and I’m glad he did because I never would have gone to this store! So if you go to store avoid the lady! Just go to the guy sales guys only.

We came here from Arlington to look at Oeuf cribs since Baby Blossom is one of the only authorized retailers in the area. I’m glad we did despite the negative reviews!
Unlike other people’s reviews about the poor customer service, we had a great experience working with David. He was very knowledgable about all the products in the store including the baby furniture which was our main focus for the day. After some extensive discussions and comparisons, we ended up ordering both an Oeuf crib and dresser for the baby’s room. In addition we got a crib mattress and changing pad for the dresser.
We also looked at strollers and David had some great advice about which items to register for. I had done a lot of research so could tell he really knew his stuff. We had a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back in the future!

Store itself is AMAZING!!! Great products, great selection. The reason it is 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is the women who works there. I beleive she is co-​owner with who I beleive is her husband. I have yet to call and inquire about something, or go there, look around, and check out without being belittled, dis-respected…she is just plain RUDE!!! I have never said 1 mean thing to her, and I know she is this way with everyone, but it’s kind of REDICULOUS.
So why do I keep going back? Because the gentleman and other staff are incredibly nice, super helpful, and I have learned to just find somebody else and talk with them about anything I need. Although, that is hard to do via phone without being as rude as she is. Perhaps I don’t know her story, maybe there is something going on with her as I’ve never encountered anyone like this in my entire life.
Yes, they are pricey when comparing same products to online shopping, but they have many more products they are comparable, or just well worth what you get.

I have nothing but great things to say about Baby Blossom in Fairfax. Today was the second time I’ve purchased a car seat through them (first time at new store) and again it was A+ service. Again they price matched for me where most stores won’t. Hopefully I won’t need anymore car seats but if I did I would be back here to get one. I’m actually quite surprised by the negative reviews… but you can’t make everyone happy I guess.

Went here looking for crib rail covers, which they did not carry, but I looked around since I was there.
They carry the cream of the crop in strollers, so I was afraid this was an overpriced frou frou baby store. I was wrong, they also carry lots of cute hard to find toys, clothes, smaller accessories that are priced ok (not amazing deals that I would get my rugrat, but giftworthy stuff). Keeping this place in my list of go to places for baby gifts.
The woman working there was also super nice and gave me good advice on where I could find what I was looking for.
