I have been here before a few times. But I am new to the Unilocal world. But I think when you find a treasure, you should share it as much as possible. I’ve had a lot of pizza in my time, so I asked the owner Todd what kind of oven is he using to make this wonderful pizza? I learned that it’s a stone oven and is his own personal recipe for the amazing crust! Pizza usually makes me feel yucky afterwards, but this one doesn’t at all. The ingredients are all fresh tasting, not processed. The atmosphere is very nice and clean, a great place to bring your family. Kid friendly. Great service, it feels very homey. I also like that it’s a family owned and operated business. A mom n pop place! Service is always prompt too! Come try it, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious pizza. We ordered a combination and everything was super fresh. The crust was amazing. The salad I had was also quite big and delicious. We were immediately greeted. The staff was super friendly. The owner came out and spoke to us, telling us about some more improvements he wanted to make. Very clean. I highly recommend it!!!

Do not be fooled by all of these rave reviews! Velocity Pizza is under new management and unfortunately now it is GARBAGE! Takes forever to get flavorless pizza that isn’t cooked right and garlic cheese bread that is hard as a rock. Such a bummer, we really liked the old Velocity.

With respect to Steve, this is a positive review yet I don’t know the owners as I have just heard about this place from a friend and tonight was my first visit. I was excited to try a large pizza for $ 10 and got a mushroom and added sausage for an extra $ 1.50. I was almost expecting a Domino’s or Little Ceasar type but no this was so much better! It was real pizza. The crust was not too thin or thick and crunchy, there were plenty of toppings and perfect on the cheese. The only thing a bit lacking I’d say is the sauce. It could have had more flavor but that came from the toppings so I’m happy. Service was excellent; the cashier was attentive and very friendly. I am looking forward to coming again, especially for the great deal Tues, Wed and Thurs for $ 10!

The gluten free pizza is amazing! When you have to live a gluten free life there is no doubt one thing that you miss… Sinking your teeth into a fluffy pizza crust and Velocity just made that happen for me. Not only was the crust fluffy(normally gluten free cuts is as flat as cardboard and taste like it ok) but it was delicious. The toppings were fresh and full of flavor. I could tell the staff takes pride in the product they put out. This will ow be our #1 spot for pizza and it’s all thanks to that amazing gluten free crust!

I give velocity 4 stars for cleanliness and service. The young dude working the counter was very polite and helpful not just to us but every other person who walked through the door too. The pizza on the other hand was just ok. The crust was good, lightly crispy but also soft on the inside. Other than that i didnt notice much flavor, maybe there wasn’t enough sauce or the sauce they use isn’t spectacular. Whatevsr it was it was just plain. The garlic cheese bread on the other hand was outstanding. They used real garlic which I have noticed not many pizza parlors use on their twists/breads. I’ll be back again, but probably try a different choice rather than a combo pizza.

I went there last Sunday for open mic night and had a wonderful evening with family and friends. My friend and I shared a personal pepperoni pizza and each of us had a side salad. Our pizza was perfect and all of our group who had pizza enjoyed theirs as well. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the young man who greeted us. He was very nice and had a great smile for us. The place is clean, the staff is nice and our food was good. Can’t wait to go again and bring more family and friends for open mic night. This j hope will be a summer tradition in a nice neighborhood place to support. Good luck to you velocity… My group thought everything was wonderful. Thank you.

Change in ownership since our last visit. Always sad to see a dreamer hang up the towel but happy to see an invigorated crew running the place and putting in new energy. The pizza is different but good in its own right, not quite an apples to apples comparison. The new dough recipe is a very welcomed balance of crispy bottom throughout without sacrificing that cushy texture on the end of the slice. My husband liked that the slices had a respectable heft to them that kept the toppings on top of the slice and not sliding towards the still attached slices or center of the pie. The atmosphere is still comfortable for families with small children. We do miss the activity table, but yea for crayons and black and white cartoon drawings. Draft beer options are decently priced and hopefully an equally interesting wine list is soon too follow. Good luck to the new owners!!! It always feels good to support independents in the neighborhood!

With the new ownership, Velocity is the same in name and location only. If you are a fan of the old Velocity, you’ll be horribly disappointed. If you look at other reviews from people that ate at the old Velocity, you’ll see some similar comments. First, the good: The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, so no problems there. They’ve added a bit of décor and moved things around, so it’s a nice environment(though it was totally empty when we arrived). The prices are low, and you can get a one topping large for $ 10 on Tue-Thur. I’d say ‘you get what you pay for’, but even at that low price, it’s poor value for money. I’m trying to think about the last time I had a pizza this bad. It’s been a really, really long time. Other recent reviews have compared it unfavorably to Little Ceasars, and I’d have to agree. The pepperoni was the best part of the pizza, I’d call it slightly above average for a pizza place. The texture of the crust is also good, but that’s where the positives end. The crust was bland and flavorless. The sauce tasted more like spaghetti sauce than anything else, making me feel like I was eating something my 6 year old daughter had made me for a Father’s Day dinner. Lastly, though, there was the cheese. Truly awful. First, there was just too much of it, and it looked oddly pale. The predominant flavor was salty, with an odd texture somewhat reminiscent of chewing gum, it slowly congealed as the pizza cooled. I managed to eat 3 slices, wanting to give it a fair trial, and I enjoyed it less with each slice. Maybe they’ll re-work their recipe and improve it, I guess time will tell. A final note: I’d encourage you to view the recent positive reviews with suspicion. These are people who haven’t written many Unilocal reviews, some aren’t even from this area, and they appear to have personal connections with the new owners.

Wishing I could give zero stars. I will start with the one positive note– the staff is super friendly. Also, the pizza came quick but no one is here. I was hesitant to try since the change of ownership but I came in with an open mind. I was happy that I knew it had changed and was expecting it to be a new place. My review is based on it as a brand new place because that’s what it is. I’ll take Costco, Dominos or Little Ceasars pizza any day. This is the worst pizza I’ve had in a very long time. The crust is bland and tasteless, the sauce tastes like canned spaghetti sauce. The pizza had too much cheese(yes that is a thing). The cheese has a weird texture and is oddly gooey and slimy at the same time. The pepperoni was ok. This place used to be special but no longer is. I’m so sad.

I’m so happy velocity got new owners! It’s the best thing to happen. The previous ownership was sub par the least to say. I went in tonight with a large group of friends and ordered 3 pizzas, drinks all around and garlic bread. The prices were fare and The service was great! Got our garlic bread after minutes of sitting down and about five minutes after finishing it our pizzas were ready. The pizzas were great quality and made with fresh ingredients. All my friends were pleased and satisfied. On top of the great food the atmosphere was a plus too. The new art work really adds to the vibe of the place. My friends and I will defiantly be back soon! For anyone who had a bad experience like I did with the previous owners need to come back and try it again because the new owners really picked up the place!

This was my first time eating at Velocity. I ordered an All-meat pizza. This was by far the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The crust was incredible! I wasn’t the only customer inside who was complimenting the food, I heard this comment coming from the other customers around me. I highly recommend you stop by and try it out.

Ownership changed. Little Caesars now puts this place to shame. Flavorless crust, not enough sauce or cheese, and the uniqueness that made this place great is now gone. Absolute garbage, we will never return. Way to ruin a neighborhood jewel!

So not to offend anyone let me start with I never visited this place before. Upon entering I was impressed by the cleanliness. It’s very bright, new and uncluttered. I love the hand made wood tables, the prior owner did a fabulous job.
