Siam Patio Thai Cuisine

They say they deliver but their radius is really, really small (4 miles). I was literally 0.1 mile too far and they refused to deliver to me. Don’t bother unless you live practically next door.

My boyfriend and I love this place, and love that they deliver! Super fresh delicious Thai food.

Ordered take out from the website menu. Called and my order was taken by a pleasant and helpful lady. Green curry fried rice, pad Thai, red curry beef, was ready fifteen minutes later. It was all very tasty. We will be eating here again.

It wasn’t great. We were expecting since it’s 4 stars on here that the food will be amazing. We were so disappointed! Pad thai was horrible and the thai fried rice did not have any flavor. Won’t come back ever.

This is probably my favorite Thai place in the greater Sacramento area, and I love Thai food. Tom Yum is phenomenal. Spicy eggplant as well. My personal go-​to is the heavenly pepper garlic. Cannot recommend this place enough. Beautiful atmosphere as well.

We tried this place for the 1^st time during mother’s day for lunch. My mom loves thai food so we decided to try out this place because of the good rating. The website had really nice pictures and made it look like a fine dining restaurant. Apparently, it’s not like that when you reach there.
The menu is completely different from other restaurants and it was quiet an interesting experience here. We all loved their food. And the waitress informed us that the angry spicy is super spicy. Unfortunately, it’s not that spicy. It wasn’t spicy enough to make us angry. Basically, their rating is wrong. Ha-​ha.
And they do have sitting outside.
I would recommend this restaurant to try out.

The only thing I could say that would do this place justice is a series of noises that intermittently involved drooling. Authentic, small, intimate.

Since living in Thailand I’ve had trouble finding authentic Thai cuisine Siam Patio Thai has it!
I wish I lived closer, but whenever we are in the area we will definitely stop in. So lucky we were seeing our chiropractor friend next door.
My husband and I were starving and we love Thai it was the perfect place for us. We felt like we were back in Thailand. Got to use a little bit of my Thai while I was there too :)
Great service and delicious food with beautiful décor you can’t beat it.
We ordered the green curry lunch special spicy. When you ask for spicy they deliver. So if you are not a spicy fan definitely ask for mild. It was Thailand spicy!!! Needless to say our noses were running like crazy.
Lunch special comes with salad soup and rice :) for $ 9
We also ordered the mango sticky rice to go. It was to die for. So amazing! A must try if you’ve never had it.

Have been here twice now.
First time it was my sister in laws birthday dinner with family. And the food was amazing! The place is small and so I don’t recommend bringing a big party. Also the waiters are very hard to understand and I think they may have a problem with understanding people’s orders as well. It took awhile to get the food also to refil waters, get the bill ECt.
I gave this place another try on a slower afternoon especially cause the food is just so amazing. And again very slow service.
I do recommend trying this place out even with the downfalls again the food is worth it!

Went for lunch and the service was fairly fast and the food was good. Everyone at the table ordered their food with medium heat but felt like it was more towards hot. I would come again but get light heat.

We absolutely love this restaurant! I enjoy their curries. It’s the only thing we order with coconut rice. This is the only coconut rice over ever had. I think it’s great but my wife claims she’s had better at land ocean, Roseville.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants! We only had take out and had great experiences with the staff.

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in town and Siam Patio is always impressed me.
Great atmosphere, nice decoration, perfect music, huge parking spot.
Food is very yummy. Crab fried rice, tender beef noodle soup is a bomb, mango sticky rice…
Customer service is the best. Staffs are very friendly, attention to detail especially delivery guy, Kevin, he takes time to ensure I got the right order and never spill my food during his delivery. Waitress are very petite but strong. They can hold huge plates and serve me volcano chicken with one hand!

Heard about this place from some friends and thought we would give it a try. It was AMAZING! The service was impeccable, they were so friendly always making sure everything was perfect for us and refilling waters. The food was delicious as well, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Will definitely come back here again!
Our waiter was a man, I didn’t catch his name but he was the sweetest guy ever!

A small restaurant off Fair Oaks near Sunrise. This place has a very helpful and attentive staff. The food is fresh and well prepared. The bathroom is very clean. There is abundant parking in front and on the side of the restaurant in the evening as you can overflow into the nearby businesses when they close; for lunch though parking may be difficult.
I found the kitchen which can be seen from the waiting/​counter area to be disorganized and not as clean as I would like. If you kitchen is visible to waiting customers, better at least have it clean. The restaurant is very cramped and easy to bump into things as you navigate to your tables. Also, the front door and proximity of tables, at least during cold weather months, requires you wear a jacket if you are unfortunate enough to have to sit by the door. I think this place is a converted old fast food joint or donut shop, so it is really not designed by floor plan to be a restaurant.
Overall though, still going 4-​stars based on efforts of the staff; on Friday they were short two waiters so the delivery guy was standing in as a waiter. Thank you Siam Patio.

It takes a lot for me to go from five stars to one star.
A few more visits have determined that I was wrong in my last review– the bad service from the times before had not been from bad days or because I came when it was busy. The service here just really, really, really sucks. And I’m a server so I feel really bad having to say that. Sometimes I’m really not sure whether or not it’s just a language barrier, but even if it is, does that make it okay to have consistently bad service?
I came in yesterday during lunch for the last time. I was seated right by the door, which I was a little confused by, because the restaurant was very empty and it was cold outside, but it was also almost the closest table to the kitchen, so it wasn’t too bad. I think I’ve said this before– this place is really pretty inside. I spent about 10 – 15 minutes admiring it before I was greeted by the waitress, but I didn’t care, as I was in a very good mood, and I could tell that the only other party in the restaurant was kind of demanding.
Finally, I order my yellow curry. I notice that the price has gone up– and this reminds me, they have no lunch prices on the weekend. I’m not sure how to judge that, really, because most restaurants don’t necessarily have weekend lunch specials, but most Thai restaurants do. Still, on this particular day, the price for the yellow curry with chicken is $ 9, which still is not bad at all, considering that it comes with soup and salad and rice, and I really can’t make this one myself. Maybe someday, but no luck so far.
The soup was really good. I didn’t care for the salad because it was made of spinach and arugula, which just happen to be my least two favorite leaves, but I wasn’t expecting salad, anyways, as they’ve literally never brought it to me before during any of the many other times I’ve had lunch here.
As my curry was being sat down in front of me, my first thought was that it smelled very strongly of fish sauce, but as someone who is pretty experienced with Thai food, I knew that the fish smell can sometimes be deceiving– so I took a bite. My first reaction was relief that the curry did not taste fishy at all. My second reaction was disappointment that the curry did not taste spicy at all. I took 4 – 5 more bites to be sure before the waiter came back and asked me how everything was.
Because I like this restaurant, and because I was thinking to myself, «I really don’t want to write another bad review this week,» I was honest. I said, «It’s good, but it’s not spicy at all. I ordered it medium spicy, and it’s not even mild. There’s literally no spice in it at all.»
«Medium spice usually means not spicy.»
Did he really just say that?
«That’s funny, because I’ve ordered this curry here at least fifteen times before, and medium has always meant spicy before, and I work in a restaurant and medium means spicy, and I’ve never heard of a restaurant where „medium“ anything meant „not“ anything.» Yeah, I had a little rant there. And then I asked for the rest of the waiter’s 5 point scale. Here it is. Verbatim.
1. Nothing
2. Medium (not spicy)
3. Thai hot
4. Almost not edible
5. Not edible
First of all, medium is at least a 3. Next, he offered to make it a 3, which, according to him, would be very spicy. «Trust me, I’m from Thailand, and it’s enough for me. It’s very spicy, maybe even too spicy for you.»
«So one point higher than not spicy at all will be so spicy I can barely handle it?»
As a customer, nothing upsets me more than when a clerk tries to hide a mistake with dishonesty and BS. I ordered my food spicy. You didn’t make it spicy. PRO TIP: Now your job is to apologize and fix it.
The waitress brought condiments to my table and asked if I wanted to add hot sauce. I said, «No, I don’t, that’s not the same as cooking it with spices.» She said, «Oh, sorry,» and walked away.
At this point, I did something I’ve never done before in my entire life. I asked for my food to be remade. I feel that I was extremely polite about it. «Excuse me, sir? Would it be possible to have it remade?»
«Remade?»
“Yeah, like made over again? Because I wanted it spicy, and it’s not spicy, so I was hoping you could make me a spicy one.”
«Oh, sure. I’ll be right back.»
I had already mixed my curry and rice together onto what was now a very full, messy plate, which the waiter now took away. I don’t know what the F took him ten minutes, but ten minutes later, he returned WITH THE SAME PLATE with chili sauce sprinkled on top of it.

KIDDING?
Unacceptable.
I politely requested permission to leave. Again, the waiter seemed to barely understand me. «You know, because I ordered it spicy, and then I asked to have it remade, but you didn’t remake it, and at this point I’m running out of time, and I’m just not satisfied, so can I please just leave?»

So this place was super cute inside. I don’t eat very much Thai food I ordered my food medium heat and I couldn’t eat it. It was so hot and I can eat spicy food. The yellow curry was good (a little sweet tho). I’ll probably go back and try a few more things just incase.
So just ordered the basil chicken mild this time and now it’s really good! I’ll go back for sure

The location has a warm, comfortable feel. I didn’t know what to expect when we went, but was pleasantly surprised to find the place so welcoming. I think it’s family owned and if so it definitely shows because the employees really care about the presentation and customer service.
The food was really good (as I’m really not a fan of ANY Thai food), but the Sweet Shrimp Pineapple Curry was so tasty and good. Likewise w/​the Curry Puffs and the sweet dipping sauce. We had more, but I only ate from those dishes.
The food came out very fast and the they made sure we were never thirsty, haha. The only real negative I can list is the insistence of the waitress on clearing finished dishes. I mean typically that’s not a problem because having table space is nice, but she came by often and cleared them off at every chance – we did not feel rushed though. Overall 4 stars for convenience of the location, easy parking, good service and yummy food.

One word sums up this place. Excellent!
Service was superb, atmosphere very calming and peaceful and the food was delicious.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Never judge a book by it’s cover! Situated on the corner of Fair Oaks Blvd. & Sunrise Blvd., you come up to this small yellow building with a pointy roof. Then you walk in to an outdoor and indoor seating environment. The outdoor area looks very different from the indoor. It’s a smaller area, with light blue painted walls that look weathered. But indoors the dinning area is in a L shape, with most of the seating running along the WINE CELLAR and going to the back of the building. The place is dimly lit so it’s not too bright which is nice, and the tables have a fancy setup, with wine glasses at each setting. And a red napkin folded into the shape of a glass flute. FANCY FANCY, and not at all what I expected when first walking in.
MEAL: We looked over the menu, and my girlfriend decided on the Pad Thai, and I decided to see if they had my favorite Thai dish there. Every time I have Thai food, I gauge the restaurant on weather they have my favorite dish or not (The Crying Tiger). I’ve only come across 1 before that did, and another knew of it and made it for me. This place is now the 2^nd place I’ve gone that has had a version of it. So this place was already off to a great start for me. And while we waited we decided to order the Thai Hot Wings and two Thai Ice Teas. We were hoping the wings were like the Angle Wings we’d had at another Thai restaurant in SF a while back. When we ordered the wings our waiter asked us how hot did we want them, I’m all for spicy but my girlfriend isn’t really. So on a scale of 1 – 5 (1 being mild to 5 being sweating bullets hot, we went with a 2). All I want to express about those wings is that they were SO BOMB!!! They were freshly made and super hot (temperature wise) and I think they’re double fried, as they were super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And the flavor of the wings just made my mouth water. I could just order several of the hot wings appetizers as a meal, and could die a happy man! LOL
Our mail meals arrived as we were about half way through the wings. And I was little bummed that the Crying Tiger wasn’t exactly as it was at the other 2 restaurants, BUT it was still amazing and very close. The only difference with this place’s dish, was that the slicer of meat here were just a little thicker. And the dipping sauce wasn’t the clear, and vinegar’y/sweet sauce I’d had elsewhere. But the differences didn’t take away from the meal at it was great. The Pad Thai was pretty much the same that I’ve had elsewhere, nothing elaborate and just a simple and traditional style of Pad Thai.
OVERALL: Loved the food, nice dinning environment and our waiter was very friendly. Whenever I’m in the area which is often, and want Thai food. I’ll definitely stop back in for some of their awesome food… especially those wings!!!
