So, on our visit to the area last week, my husband and I were hungry for a late lunch and stopped in Del’s Pizza. We were two of the three customers there and I have to be honest: as soon as we walked in, I immediately regretted our decision. It just wasn’t what I had in mind for a fun day-date, but my husband wanted to stay. Well, what a great decision that was! We ordered the garlic cheese bread and the Fair Oaks Rooster pizza. Both were scrumptious! We had the restaurant to ourselves and enjoyed the yummy deliciousness. Don’t let the looks of the place fool you — their pizza is amazing!!!

These guys are super friendly, and the pizza was great. A person, who I suspect was the owner, checked on me twice, asking how the pizza was. The ingredients were fresh, the crust awesome, and the sauce divine. I’d definetly go again!

Anybody that has been following me knows I am a pizza snob of sorts. I guess I’m just looking for the best pizza I can find locally and I always compare to what I grew up on. However, growing up in Southeastern CT, the pizza out here on the left coast is of NO comparison and maybe I unfairly judge or rate it. Pizza is a food group, not just a yummy indulgence. With that said, most of the joints I have frequented out here are pretty much about all the same… clones for the most part… with a stand-out here and there. To me, they all have the tools and ingredients to be that one that stands out from the rest. However, it is a matter of either location or preference. For me, it doesn’t matter where I go, it’s all the same. In reference to Del’s Pizza, there is a little something different going on there. The flavor is a bit different from all the clones… in a very good way. They most definitely have the right oven in there for success… haven’t seen one of those out here until now. I was also very surprised to find that Del’s is run completely by young energetic women. But, they do not skimp on the toppings and for the area, the price is a little less than others. However… I have NO clue why a 16″ pizza out here is upwards of $ 30 and a 24″ pizza back home is barely $ 20. The pizza itself was«The Works». It was delicious… much better flavor than the clones out there hands down. The dough was just a tiny bit soggy due to me taking it to go… but not a big deal. I think we found our new local favorite in Del’s Pizza. However, one thing as well out here on the left coast I never understood either. Why is it ALL the toppings are put on after the cheese? You pick up your slice and all your toppings are now on your plate. We put our cheese on last on the right coast… keeps all the toppings on the pizza. It also adds a different layer of flavor and texture as well to the pizza. Not hard to change up the assembly order to be that stand-out from the rest… just saying. Long story short… AWESOME pizza, ample toppings, good prices, good location and an energetic staff. I highly recommend this place and I will be back for sure.

Good pizza! Nice service(they ask if you need refills). My only complaint — no Splenda for iced tea. Just regular sugar or sweet n low. Who uses Sweet N Low these days? But I loved the pizza! I also had the cheesy bread appetizer which was okay. Not great, not bad.

Not the best and not the worst. Alonso is better but this is cheaper. A bit too greasy and just okay…

Always great pizza here. I enjoy the handmade dough, the toppings, which are all fresh and great tasting. I usually order the Big Al’s pizza but today, I ventured out and had a classic –a Hawaiian Pizza. Also, very friendly staff, whom are always polite. Thanks!!!

We just discovered this place, after one of my wife’s previous students said he was working there. FANTASTIC! Good location, in Fair Oaks, terrific pizza menu. The HUGE salads can be added to a dinner for just 1.99. Superb crust and generous spread of chosen toppings. Locally owned and they hire many Bella Vista students. WELIKETHAT! The waiter(Joseph) was friendly and attentive(as were all the staff), also told us that there will be BEER early new year, plus will add other items, like pasta dishes. BESTPIZZA deal in the area! Don’t even need a stinken coupon. ;-)

Delivery is subject to if they feel like it… Had them deliver twice before and then one day they decided after not putting me on hold so I could hear them talking, if they wanted to do it or not, they decided Not to have my business. Said I was not in there 4 mile limit, I’m 3.4 miles today it didn’t matter

Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised. The pizza was excellent and larger than we expected, but for a relatively low price. We ordered a combo. Appetizer we ordered was soooo yummy. It was like little soft bread sticks with cheese, bacon, jalapenos on it. Served with homemade delicious ranch dressing. Drinks come in a refillable pitcher… only $ 2.99 whaaaat? So awesome! Side salad was a good size, fresh produce, and only 1.99. The service was out of this world We will surely be back.

Okay so, I definitely am not a «pizza» person. I’ve never liked pizza too much nor have ever had a craving for it. Just never set well with my stomach. My boyfriend found this place on Unilocal and got me on the bandwagon to try it. HOLYCOW — this place CHANGED my perspective on pizza. Best pizza place in all Citrus Heights/Fair Oaks! Hands down. Everything from the awesome customer service to the taste of the pizza. I just cannot even begin to tell you. Stop reading and just go down there and get a pie. Richard is one heck of an Owner. They are beyond generous with their toppings. NO greasy pizza here. Everything is fresh and overly portioned. You can tell they take pride in every pie they make. Oh and don’t get me started on the crust. It’s so fluffy yet has the perfect crisp. So happy with this place! My order: — Large Pizza, half RuStic BBQ Chicken and half Freedom Lovers(add garlic, onions, and tomatoes). — Small pepperoni and pineapple

After that one time when they were busy in my previous review and the pizza was not its usual quality Rich totally redeemed himself. He remade the pizza and even offered my husband and I a free pizza next time we came in. Very nice owner and excellent customer service. Del’s really does care if their customers are happy and satisfied. I have ordered 3 more pizzas since then and they all have been excellent quality. I also love their loaded bites and add jalapeño to them. It kicks the already amazing loaded bites up a notch! They are a definite must have every time I order pizza! Prices are very reasonable still even after being open and successful for a while. I don’t see any reason to waste my money with the other competitors.

I really want to like Del’s because I like supporting local businesses, but I’ve been here three times now and every time has been a disappointment. I don’t get it – they have such good reviews. Why do I always get the worst pizzas? It might be that they really shine with the simpler stuff. Seems like most of the people who are gushing are ordering plain cheese or pepperoni. I guess I’ll have to try again and get something that isn’t complicated. Last time I went I got a combination. I forget exactly what it was called. But the sausage was gristly, they went really light on the cheese, and they burned the shit out of the bottom. I dunno, dude. Like I said, I really want to like this place – but I’ve never gotten a good pizza, and they don’t serve beer. For what it’s worth, the service is always great, but the pizza is really what counts.

Wow I love the pizza here! The crust is tasty & generous toppings. The owner, Richard, has many years experience in the pizza industry. I think that he took a lot of best practices from previous employers & spun them into action here. The employees here are nice & helpful. There’s a small rack of gumball/toy machines for the kids as well as a few arcade games. No beer/wine yet but they’re working on that. Lots of hoops to jump through. He has the local pizza parlors beat by a mile.

My son and I went here tonight for a mommy-son date while daddy works late and we ordered your standard pepperoni and the AK bites! Delicious! They are not stingy with the toppings, the dough is perfect and the sauce to bread ratio is superb! Also, this may be related to the fact that I am 34 weeks pregnant but the ranch tastes homemade and amazing with the bread and pizza. Definitely not needed though!

I love the mom and pop restaurants(pizza in this case) — usually more character, creativity, freedom in the food. Del’s matches up to my expectations and then some. I’m not a pizza aficionado but I know that I’m not a fan of Round Table(sorry RTP fans, my daughter included). We have eaten in here once and taken out twice. On all occasions the pizza was just as I expected and liked. Good sauce — not tinny or unnecessarily sharp and compliments the crust and toppings. My pizza philosophy is the simpler, the better; let’s not make things too complicated and too many toppings. In Del’s case, the flavors all come through. I would like to see a thin crust offering(if they do already, I hadn’t noticed). That would take this up another ½ star. I do deduct ½ star for not having beer. Pizza and beer go together. I know it’s a process and not always that easy dealing with local and state regs but definitely think it would increase the overall appeal and still keep the families coming.

Del’s — you inspired me to write a review tonight even though I am too full to type. With an average rating of 4.5 stars, I had to give this place a try to see how it compares to my all– time favorite pizzerias. Truth be told, I enjoyed this pizza more than any other place I have tried in the Sacramento area. We ordered a medium half cheese(for the wifey), and half pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom(for me). Here is what I love about this pizza: 1. The sauce used was not too heavy and was spread out evenly throughout. I hate it when pizza places get sloppy with their pizza sauce. 2. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and stacked high. The sausage here is addicting, and the mushrooms were sliced thin –just the way I like them. 3. The pizza crust was perfect. I don’t care for thin crust pizza because the pizza gets cold fast, and I don’t care for thick crust pizza because the toppings to bread ratio is out of whack. The bottom of the pizza was a little crispy which held up nicely with all the cheese and toppings loaded on top. For pizza this good, the prices are reasonable. For a medium pizza, and a fountain drink –the total bill was a little over $ 15.00. I have paid more for pizza that I didn’t care for(Chicago Fire Pizza for example). My entire experience tonight was worth the drive from Folsom. The gentleman(Christian) who took my order over the phone was pleasant, and the girl at the counter was very friendly. On a side note, my son spilled the fountain drink in our car 3 minutes after we left the restaurant. I came back in to buy a new one, and the owner gave me a new drink for my son– at no charge. Well done Del’s! You now have a loyal customer in Folsom, and we will be back soon.
