History

Established in 2011.

Having worked in salon and veterinary hospital settings, I decided that I would like to focus on pets who required extra time and attention. Some did not like the trip in the car, others did not like the surrounding noises, and some had health issues, but most of all what they really needed was a calm and joyful experience. That is what I have worked hard to accomplish… creating a calm and positive experience for every pet I groom.

Short version — Joyful Grooming is an A-​1 operation, and I could not be happier with the quality, professionalism and caring displayed by Renee Pierre.
Long version — We have a 9-​year old cat, Mookie — a longhaired Maine Coon mix — who suffers from terrible skittishness. As a result, he licks his fur constantly, and had amassed significant matting throughout his body. Though my wife and I tried to stay on top of it, it became too much to handle.
From the moment I contacted Renee, I knew Mookie would be in good hands. She arrived early, set up quickly, and comforted a very nervous adult cat within seconds of meeting him. In just a little while, Mookie was free of matting, and the proud owner of a clean, even lion cut.
Renee also gave us helpful tips to avoid this problem in the future, though it likely won’t be necessary, since she’s earned our business for regular grooming and bathing.
I cannot recommend Joyful Grooming enough — just a fantastic experience, through and through.
