Tom Hemenway started Autosounds in 1979, installing radios in domestic and foreign cars that lacked the popular feature. The service was especially helpful to car dealers as vehicles sold faster with radios in them. As mobile electronic technology grew, so did Autosounds, embracing new products and providing superior installation.
