R&D Handyman Service

Rod came to my home to give me a quote on repair of a outdoor faucet on which the handle had broken off. I had gotten multi quotes from plumbers and handymen by the time I connected with Rod that ranged in pricing from $ 268.00 — $ 489.00 to make this repair. These quotes were based on my description of what I needed, one on photos I sent to get a quote, and the others were just minimal charges for 2 hours service whether the job took 2 hours or not. In 5 minutes Rod instructed me to go to Ace Hardware taking with me the center piece of the handle that remained on the faucet to get a replacement handle that cost $ 3.48. Which I did and made the repair myself. Rod wouldn’t even take a payment for coming to my home and giving me this cost effective solution. He could have taken advantage of me like I feel all the others tried to do. He is an honorable man, and clearly knew his stuff. You can bet I will have Rod’s contact information on hand for any other home repair or improvement needs I may have. I just hope that when this story gets out, he is not too busy to work with me. Thank you Rod. I have nothing but respect for you and your ethics.

Finding R&D Handyman is what Unilocal is all about. I had a problem, Unilocal and it’s reviewers helped me find a solution.
I had 3 ceiling fans I needed installed. With zero experience with electric, I needed a pro to do this. I saw one review mention ceiling fans and then they had 5 stars so I gave them a call.
Left a VM with Rod, he forwarded it to Don. Don called me and we confirmed a date. And that’s about it. Don got the job done efficiently and even installed new wall control panels I had so I could dim lights and control fan speed.
While I considered setting up an appt when buying these fans at Lowe’s, I feel much more confident I’m finding the right person to do the job by coming to Unilocal and seeing what others say about them. I wasn’t going to depend on the random contractor Lowes would send me when I know nothing about them.
Will contact R&D in the future if I needed anything else.

I recently needed two ceiling fans installed. These guys are absolutely amazing. Picked up my call on the second ring, their price was so reasonable and they showed up within 24hrs. Very prompt and very efficient. I’m so pleased. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Rod came out within 24 hours to check out my leaky window, after my previous handyman refused to espond to any of my texts or calls. He looked thoroughly and re-​caulked around my window and was very honest about not finding any defects on my window. He said if it leaks again to give him a call. He didn’t charge me at all, unlike other guys who charge when making house calls. I thin I’ve found a new handyman in Rod.

Amazing! I’ve been calling around for a handyman for weeks and Rod was the first person who (A) actually picked up the phone and (B) showed up on time for a consultation. I called Rod in the middle of the day looking for someone to repair and paint a couple holes in our walls. Rod picked up on the second ring and within 24 hours he was at my house (exactly on time I might add) and patched up both holes. The price he charged was very reasonable. So glad to have found my new go-​to repair company!

I’ve always been happy with the work that R & D have done for me at my house. I’ve had them do almost everything from painting, electrical, putting in a doggie door, and replacing a part in my dryer! The most important thing is that they SHOW up when they say they will be there and they put in long hours day after day if need be until the job is finished. They are more than reasonably priced and the quality of their work is above the bar! I HIGHLY recommend R & D Handyman and have often referred them to other friends as well.

I don’t know if there is anything these guys cant do. They gutted my kitchen and took out a separating wall. Replaced it with granite counter tops and all new cabinets and floor. New appliances. Took my washer and dryer from downstairs to Upstairs. New electrical. New plumbing. Built new walls, took out others. Put down new flooring in all bedrooms rooms and stairs. Took out an old brick built in fireplace, replaced entire wall. Remodeled office. Built entire outside deck off back of house. Installed picket fence around front yard. Painted my entire house, inside and out. Like I said before, Is there anything these two cant accomplish in home repair and remodeling needs? I seriously don’t think so.
The serious extent of the work they’ve done on my house is an recommendation in itself. I also have to say that R and D are lower than the bids of the other contractors Ive contacted, but their work is exemplary. Seriously, give them a call…

I needed some remodeling done in my bathroom and kitchen. I called R and D Handyman, they where courteous and friendly and able to come out and give me a no charge estimate the same day. They gave me a fair bid, and I was very pleased with the work! I now need some indoor painting done and will definitely have these guys do it, and any thing else I need done around the house. I have also recommended them to my neighbors who have also had work done and where so impressed they will also be using them for any more work they need done around their house as well.

Fast professional and completely flawless work! Beyond impressed! Did my entire house. Bathroom, kitchen and we wanted a family room added. We had new windows, all new electrical, new fireplace.
