I live right up the street from Carol’s. This place is a staple in the community! I think it’s wonderful to hear the conversations going on around me!!! The food is phenomenal and plenty. The cost is well affordable. The patrons are as friendly as the staff. People get up nice and early to get a seat. I love the fact the seating is so close. We live in a society where people think there has to be 6 table lengths away from each other!!! If you think you’re conversation needs the cone of silence this place is not for you!!! But the rest of us enjoy that old school setting of enjoying the meeting of new people!!! Thanks to Carol’s diner for what you offer to our community!!!

Good, solid breakfast in the Malden/Everett area. Quick service and they accommodate complicated omelette requests with a smile.

This place was great! A tiny little hole-in-the-wall diner in downtown Malden. Parking was a bit tricky on a weekend morning. Food and service were both wonderful. My husband and I ordered the corned beef hash omelet, and one of the egg/bacon/pancake breakfast combos and split everything. It was all wonderful! We’ll definetely be back!

Ordered breakfast this morning from here and it definitely hit the spot. Cheese eggs, home fries, kielbasa, and a bagel for like $ 8 – 9 you can’t beat it. If you’re looking for good and cheap breakfast this is the place to be.

Best breakfast in Everett! Food is prepared fresh and the potatoes when cooked correctly are prefect. Small neighborhood place with a homey feel. Staff is friendly

Loved the omelet and potatoes. Ours was filled with sautéed mushrooms and cheese and peppers and kielbasa. Just wish there were more mushrooms! Even the breakfast potatoes were cooked to perfection — crispy outside, soft inside. Not too soggy or salty. The blueberry french toast wasn’t great — neither was the coffee. But service was friendly and very quick. Good value!

Awful pasta, sent it back and it came back worse. Didn’t eat more than 2 bites and still got charged $ 25 for it.

Tables are close, you’re constantly aware of what other people are saying, and the same about you. Place is not loud. 2 people. Asked for water, got only 1. Asked again, didn’t get it. Had to ask for coffee refill as we were not even offered. Oatmeal was really bad and there was no fruit or brown sugar. Got a breakfast sandwich, was not impressed. Server wasn’t rude, but not necessarily friendly. Wouldn’t go back.

This place is consistently delish and I always look forward to the next time I can come back. My boyfriend orders breakfast to go for him and his coworkers from Carol’s at least once a week. He loves the corn beef hash omelet. Kiss 108’s Matty and billy costa plugged them twice during the morning show just in the last week. I love their pancakes, bacon, corn beef hash, corn beef hash omelets, and whatever special pancakes they have listed on the board behind the counter… this list will eventually expand for me as I try more items from the menu but i can’t help but come back for the same thing! It’s so good! The service is great. Whether it’s staying in or doing take out they make sure you got what you need. **LAREESA* took care of me the last few times I was there and she was very attentive and sweet. The other people in the restaurant(both workers and customers) all look so relaxed like they are there as part of a community rather just a dine in and go type of place. Go here! It looks small under the short green awning but they have an extended back room and I think a patio which I still have not sat in cuz I always happened to sit in the front half of the restaurant by the window.

Best breakfast in town! I always get the veggie omelette and veggie and bacon omelette Togo. The home fries are wicked good and flavorful too. I never had a problem there… They’re always on point with my order. Never ate inside there but I’m sure they have other good foods besides the omelette.

There’s nothing more that I love than a nice family owned establishment. Walking in I immediately felt the family love and the service was amazing from the second I walked in. I definitely recommend the Blueberry French Toast. I can’t wait to come back!

Love having breakfast here, big plates and low prices and if you’re a regular they know you by name. The food is great, I love their eggs and steak tips, also if you’re a fan of hash, you’ll love theirs. Definitely stop by there for breakfast if you’re up early.

Stopped by Carol’s today when I was passing through the area, just looking for a casual breakfast spot. Carol’s was pretty much all I could have hoped for. Very friendly, attentive staff, that really seemed to care you enjoyed your time there. It’s a very small café/restaurant — I’m guessing the max seating is 20 or so people at a time. We came by on a Wednesday around 11am and had no problem getting a seat — I’m thinking it might be more difficult on a weekend. But onto what you really want to know about, the food. It was an excellent diner-quality breakfast. They aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel or anything, but they do a solid breakfast right. I got the 2 eggs(scrambled) choice of sausage/bacon/ham(bacon), breakfast potatoes and choice of toast — I upgraded to grilled English muffin for only $ 0.50 more. The eggs were cooked nicely, the bacon was a nice balance between crisp and savory, and the muffin was fantastic. But the best part were the potatoes. wow. Perfect seasoning, and must have been cooked on the grill as well, they weren’t just deep fried and tossed on a plate. My girlfriend got a sausage+egg and cheese on a bagel with home fries, and although I didn’t get to try it, she really enjoyed it, and thought the breakfast potatoes were excellent as well. Probably the best part is the price. Both items plus coffee came to just $ 14.00. Amazing value for the quality of the food. I will definitely be visiting Carol’s again and I recommend that you do as well.

Highly recommend breakfast at Carol’s(haven’t tried lunch), especially if you love in Malden. Very nice staff, food was very good for small local diner, and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I’ll be coming back! Thanks, Carol’s!

The food was decent although nothing special. The service, however, was atrocious. I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my coffee. In fact, the regulars all helped themselves by going behind the counter to get the pot of coffee. I also gave up waiting for the check after 10 minutes. The owner just ignored me after my food was served by the chef. She didn’t even stop by my table once I placed my order. There are far better cafés in the Boston area in which the owners/staffs actually care about customer service. Skip this place unless you enjoy being ignored.

Nice people in this café. So nice… I’ll tell you. I had my car taken away one evening when I parked on the wrong side of the street on Bradford St.(I’m not from Everett) and the man who runs the café, called a cab for me and helped me out of a terrible situation. I rave about him and his help. If you want a nice place to eat… eat here. A million thanks.

This little outdated café has some issues. The food is only okay but the service is really great. My hot cocoa was meh, but my friend Jess said the chocolate milk was good. She had the blueberry french toast which was nice, not too sweet like usual. I had a very nicely done poached egg and toast — my toast wasn’t well done enough and the butter tasted like margarine. Price wise, you can’t beat this place. My egg, toast, and hot cocoa cost me $ 3 — $ 4 with tip. In NY that would’ve been $ 8 w/tax and tip. My wallet was happy, I boosted them a star. Really bad part, this place was grotty — dirty floors and filth between the crevices. Call a maid stat before DOH gets on you!
