Sherman Dental Associates of Evanston

I have been going to Sherman Dental for over 8 years. I love Dr Le. She is caring and very sympathetic to her patient’s comfort. Dr Le recently did a bridge for me. She explained everything and made the entire procedure painless and comfortable. She even followed up with me a couple of weeks after to ask how I liked it and if I was having any problems. The entire staff .Dr Pete, Sue, Liliana and Beatrice, are wonderful, caring professionals. I don’t trust anyone else when it comes to my teeth!

Dr Le is a great dentist she is the only dentist I will go to. She is a very nice person. She shows a lot of care for her patients and she will explain everything she will do for you so you know what is going on. She really cares for your teeth she will make them shiny clean. I highly recommend going to her.

I went here recently to get a molar extracted. Needless to say that this was not a pleasant thing to have done. Surprisingly though, I didn’t feel any pain at all. Dr Pete is a pro with the anesthesia and seemed to get it in just the right spot. Dr Le also worked on my extraction (it was a tough one…) and she was very empathetic and professional. Between the two of them, I was able to relax because I feel that they are really knowledgeable and experienced. I have had a few dentists in Chicago, and now after 10 years I finally feel that I have finally found the right one.

I had a crown done at this location on one of the front teeth and for a cosmetic procedure, it looks awful!!! The color does not match and it doesn’t even resemble my original tooth (shape).
When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the dentist (Peter Monaghan) told me my expectations were too high. Did not seem to have any concern for my thoughts or feelings; and the fact that I was walking away in tears. At no point in the process, did anyone ask how they can rectify the situation or offered to help in any way.
What a waste of time and money!!! Horrid. Stay away!

So I know I’m not unique in disliking going to the dentist, however, going to Sherman Dental has made the experience A LOT less painful. I’ve been going to Sherman Dental for at least 5 years now, and every experience I’ve had there has been great! Dr. Lee is wonderful dentist who really pays attention to her patients. She was empathetic and caring when I got my wisdom teeth removed and is friendly every time I visit. The rest of the staff is also really nice. The receptionist remembers who I am, even though I only go there once every six months and scheduling appointments with her on the phone is super easy. The dental hygienists are also some of the best I have ever had. They do a thorough job cleaning my teeth, yet are gentle enough that I barely feel it, which is great for me, a less than average flosser. :)
I used to be really angsty going to the dentist, but the warmth and care I have received at Sherman Dental has knocked those feelings out of me. If you are looking a dentist in this area, I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee and the Sherman Dental staff.

My dentist, Dr. Lien, may be my new favorite person. Simply put, she is the most awesome dentist I have ever encountered — lays out all the information for you in a casual and friendly manner, answers all questions, is very empathetic to any discomfort you are going through. Plus, the last time I had an area of my mouth numbed at the dentist, I almost cried from the anesthetic injection pain. With Dr. Lien? I didn’t feel a thing. AND she remembered my husband from years ago, when she pulled his wisdom teeth (one of her favorite activities!). So, even though I got some pretty bad news about my teeth this week and have to undergo procedures that will last 10 months — 1.5 years, I am completely as ease that Dr. Lien will be my dentist. I know she will take great care.
This practice is terrific. Dental hygienists/​assistants are friendly and professional. Their receptionist is super nice and helpful — they didn’t have any Saturday appointments available for Deerfield day job J until late June, but I was told if anything opened up before, they would call me. It looks like I’ll be here a lot for the next 2 years, but I don’t mind at all. So happy that I found a great dental practice so close to home!
