I’m not a wealthy person. I’m also a person who knows very little about purchasing rugs. After combing the internet and going to a variety of furniture stores looking for a proper rug, I was utterly frustrated with trying to purchase an oddly shaped runner rug for my hallway. I have a young dog and a cat that really enjoy chasing each other down the long hall of my new condo, but I was afraid of upsetting my downstairs neighbors with the pitter-​patter of little feet. I really needed to get a rug. For years, I had driven down Chicago Avenue in Evanston seeing all the rug stores with the exotic looking rugs in the window… but assumed I could never afford it. I was intimidated, but went in anyway. I was greeted at the door very nicely, when asked what I could be helped with I strait out told them that I wasn’t sure I could afford anything in the store, but just didn’t know how to shop for a rug and was hoping I could get educated. Sarkis came out and listened to my needs. He was very calm, not condescending (I’ve come across that with sales associates at furniture stores) and patiently educated me on rugs and helped me come to some sort of comfortable price point to start my rug perusing. After I found one that I liked, he allowed me to take it home for a test drive before purchasing it. Granted, I spent a little more money than what I thought I needed to spend (just based on guessing how much a 17′ runner would cost… but never finding anything nice in my price point). I brought the rug back a few days later, told them what length I would prefer and a few days later I got a call from Sarkis… the rug was ready, bound and with padding. It was put in my car and I laid it out and I love it. I will never try to purchase a rug on the cheap again. I love this place and could not be happier with my experience.

I also ordered a rug from their website and that was another positive, satisfying encounter. Do not bother with anyone else if you are looking for a rug for your floor from least expensive to a collectors item. They will treat you right!
