Oliver’s Trains & Toys is a specialty toy store with two locations in Evanston, IL. We started Oliver’s Trains & Toys in 2006 when our son, Oliver, was fascinated with trains. We quickly wondered if there were other kids out there that felt the same as him. So in early 2006, we started an e-​commerce website at oliv​er​strains​.com. Originally, we specialized in generic wooden train sets as well as Thomas Wooden Railway & Brio.

After a few years of running the website a retail location became available on Central Street in Evanston: we knew right away that this was our opportunity.

So we took a leap of faith and in March of 2012 we opened the Central Street store. Being residents of the Evanston area, we knew that the community would welcome our humble store. Since our opening, we have enjoyed great support from our local customers. And we continue to strive to provide excellent customer service and fun toys for kids of all ages. That continues to be our aim as a family owned business.

We love toys and find great satisfaction when kids & adults toys that they enjoy. We have a wide variety of fun and engaging toys and try to keep our selection fresh. We hope to be a destination, both of wonder and discovery. And a fun place, too, with many items to play with! Kids are welcome and are encouraged to explore. After all, they are our most important customers!

Oliver’s Trains & Toys:

We opened our 1^st location, on Central Street, on March 24^th, 2012. We then opened our Main Street location on November 9^th, 2013.
