History

Established in 2005.

Avail and Company began in the late summer of 2005, by Rachel Alvia who wanted to create a business where women could have the unique experience of having a dress created just for them. Over the past years Avail and Company has made hundreds of dresses and served many brides in the Chicago land area. Avail and Company is currently run out of the Alvia’s home studio in Poplar Grove, IL. Clients meet one-on one with Rachel in the studio or via the internet.

Rachel’s dream began as a teen making a dress for a friend’s school dance. This is what she was born to do! Rachel moved to Chicago to pursue her life as a professional designer. She graduated with her BFA in Fashion Design from the Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago. She then worked as a product designer, continuing to create custom dresses part time as she had done, even through college. In 2005, when the time was right, Rachel began serving the Chicagoland area by creating Avail and Company.
