Toki is a warm, inviting little place where you can always count on friendly service and a smile. Their hibachi is excellent; it is certainly the thing that keeps bringing my family back for more. Soups and appetizers are always pretty solid, as well. Their sushi is okay — something that hits the spot when you have the craving, but I’d recommend stopping at one of the other nearby sushi restaurants if that’s what you’re looking for.

Way into Toki. Very delicious, good prices, the staff is really nice. The 2 for $ 20 specialty rolls is one of my favorites :3.

LOVELOVETOKI! It’s our go to restaurant almost every time we go out. Food has been delicious consistently. There tempura asparagus for $ 2 as an appetizer is a great treat especially with the sauce they put on it. Their teriyaki chicken bento box is my personal favorite. Sometimes there crowded but it’s definitely worth the wait and I feel the prices are very reasonable because it’s a ton of food and there’s usually leftovers for lunch the next day. Both locations are consistently wonderful and we’ve always had great wait staff as well.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody who truly appreciates sushi. We had a volcano roll and a toki special roll. The volcano was lacking flavor and the toki had too much spicy mayo(it was pretty much all I could taste). The spicy tuna tartare wasn’t really that spicy and had too much crunchy flakes in it. The only thing worth eating was the seaweed salad, which tasted pretty fresh. The server didn’t notice we were there until after 5 minutes. And even though she apologized, wasn’t really that attentive for the rest of the evening.

The sushi tasted like cat nip. The VEGETABLES tasted like CLEANINGSUPPLIES. I went back for a second time and it seemed the problems had been fixed.

Just found out they have a problem with roaches. We used to go at least once a week! We won’t be back! Plus, they fire the sushi chefs too frequently! Let some great guys go!

We came here at 3:00 on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn’t busy at all. We were seated with an option of booth or table and our waitress came to the table almost immediately. We started with the calamari and pork gyoza. The calamari came out beautifully golden brown and heavenly crispy. The gyoza was also great, it has always been one of my favorite appetizers at sushi/hibachi restaurants. A friend and I split the deluxe sushi boat and we sailed it all the way into the sunset. It is quite a bit of sushi, but we were both fairly hangry. The sushi and sashimi is Chef’s selection, which I am totally cool with. Ours had salmon, red tuna, white tuna and some other fish in not certain of. It was all fantastic! You also pick 2 fusion rolls to go along with it. We had the volcano roll and the dragon something roll. All in all our experience was very enjoyable and Akemi did a fantastic job taking care of us. The fish was fresh and the sushi chefs did a fantastic job. I’ll definitely be returning to explore the menu further!

After a dreadful experience next door at Garlic Clove, Toki was the rescuer of our evening! We(2 couples) came in quite hungry and were seated right away. Our server promptly brought us waters and took our drink orders. The drinks came quickly and we were ready to order. Our friends ordered a couple sushi rolls and hibachi chicken. My husband and I each got a cup of miso soup and chose to do the 2 for $ 20 dinner for special fusion rolls. We requested the Toki Special Roll and the Lobster Dragon Roll. The Toki Special is a tangy blend of spicy crab, shrimp, and avocado wrapped in fresh tuna, salmon, and yellowtail seared to perfection and topped w. our exclusive special chef’s sauce. The Lobster Dragon had Spicy lobster & avocado inside w. tobiko & spicy smoked crab outside. Both were fantastic! The service was superb and our server was very attentive without being overbearing. It was also nice that they had TVs since the AFC championship was on. :)

I was introduced to this restaurant a few year ago by a co-worker. I was quite impressed with the service and quality of food. I don’t know what has happened recently but the service is AWFUL. Where is management? The servers were all sitting in front of the kitchen window and I know they saw me. Also the restaurant has a 87 food grade… not good. Do better.

First time trying sushi so I got the crazy crab roll and a tempura combo appetizer. It was soooo good. The sushi was crunchy and the crab tasted fresh. They gave me more than enough to make left overs and I ate off of it for 2 days. Food came in a timely manner also. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to others. Loved the cherry sprite too.

Favorite sushi place. Great prices compared to other places I have been and the rolls are excellent. Miso soup has great flavor which is hard for some sushi places.

The lunch special is an AWESOME value. You get a ton of food PLUS soul and salad. I went here for sushi last night, The prices are very reasonable. If you get the dinner special, you get 2 rolls, soup and salad. Awesome deal. The restaurant is very clean and staff is very friendly.

I went here in Jan. 2014. Service friendly. The young girl admitted she was partial deaf. make sure you confirm and repeat the order. Establishment is clean. And clean bathrooms too. For Augusta making Japanese food, this was okay… the flavors are tasty. The combos and entrée come with soup and salad. I like the light and refreshing ginger dressing. Ask for it on the side and you can control the amount you want.

I did eat here after eating at Hokkaido down the street, so this review might be a little bias(the food at Hokkaido is horrendous!) Anyway, Toki does a good job of cooking meat to order and providing fried rice with flavor. The yellow sauce here is really good, and I ended up pouring it on everything I ordered. The sushi is pretty average for the Augusta area, nothing really to drive out of the way to try. I’d recommend this place if you’re in the mood for hibachi. Definitely, the place I go when I have that craving!
