Description

Specialties

The Banana Hut Hawaiian BBQ brings the authentic Island Cuisine to the Mainland, in a fun, festive atmosphere. Lunch comes in big and small kine plate lunches. We offer all of the local Hawaiian favorites including slow roasted Kalua Pig, sweet and tender Pineapple Ribs, Lau Lau, Loco Moco, Kalbi Ribs, Chicken Katsu, Saimin Noodles and of course Spam Musubi.

Lunch starts at 11am and dinner is served daily from 5pm through 9pm. We offer a more extensive menu at dinner time.

Desserts are another specialty of the house. Our home made Hula pie and Haupia Pie are an extravagant feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! Everything is made in-house and from scratch.

Our wine, beer and cocktail list is extensive. With four Hawaiian beers on tap as well as 23 beers from around the world, we are sure to have a beer that you’ll like. We carry wines from the Tedeschi Vineyard on Maui, both red and white including Maui Blanc and Maui Splash. We carry Maui Rums from the Maui Haleakala Distillery. Our California wines include the Husch Winery as well as a variety of others.

History

Established in 2004.

First established in a trailer serving fried bananas and other desserts at local fairs, the business moved to «the world’s most obscure» location inside Redwood Acres fairground for three years, where a steady group of guests slowly «discovered» it. The Banana Hut moved to it’s present location at 621 5th street in downtown Eureka, in November 2009.

Meet the Business Owner

Fatima E.

Business Owner

Fatima and Ken opened their restaurant because of their love for cooking and their love for Hawaii. Having lived there and going back numerous times throughout the years, Hawaii is like home. It’s this passion that they created this restaurant with so they could bring and share Hawaii as a whole experience. Their goal is to bring the Aloha and the Magic of Hawaii without leaving home.
