On the Rise Donut

Great family owned donuts shop just around the corner. Great customer service!

I found this place by accident. The owner is a nice fellow and he seems to be running a good thing. Nothing fancy, but the glazed donuts remind me of my father’s store in Smryna, TN that I worked in for two years. Also he makes a mini glazed donut that seems to be a lot of work, but they are great.

I go here every Saturday, which should be a testament to how much I enjoy their donuts. I’ve done this for close to a year now.
I would say that their prices seem fair. I always walk out with more than enough donuts for myself and without feeling a pinch on my wallet. Considering I graduated from college a year ago with student loans and have a tight budget, I always have room for donuts in the budget.
As for taste, their donuts are always what I would expect in quality and taste. I wasn’t really impressed with their kolaches though. The bread tasted very bready. Thick and slightly stale to be exact. I wish they had a larger variety too, but shouldn’t complain since what they do have is great
