food is good. make sure if you have coupons you bring them in though, cause phone orders they tend to forget discount…

I really like this place! You get so much food for such a low price and service is always quick! I’m so glad my neighbor told me try this place out. I’m a delivery regular now. :)

Ordered delivery last night for the first time to check it out. The man I spoke to was really nice and so was the delivery driver unfortunately that was about as good as it got for me. The fried wontons were horrible. Over cooked and literally zero meat in them. Definitely frozen. The Kung pao was horrible. It had barely any meat in it. It was all carrots, celery and water chestnuts. The carrots weren’t even cooked. The 3 shrimp that were in there was the only good part. The fried rice was… not sure what it was maybe some soy sauce mixed with rice. No peas, carrots etc. like most fried rice. It was just brown and flavorless. Our friend ordered the General Tso’s it was ok. Not crispy but whatever. Just chicken and broccoli. Definitely the best dish out of all the them. The only thing that was good was we had a coupon for 5 free egg rolls with $ 30 purchase and it they gave us 8. And they were pretty decent egg rolls. Was really bummed bc we wanted a good Chinese delivery place and the people that work there seem really nice. Maybe I’m just spoiled Empress of China is the best!

Pretty decent food, considering I barely had to get off my butt to get it. They delivered it fast to our house. We stuck to the simple — beef & broccoli, and the sweet & sour pork. Both were pretty good. Then we had the crab rangoon(very good), fried wontons(good but a couple of them were so hard I nearly broke a tooth) and egg rolls, which were more like spring rolls — very small, would probably pass on those next time. Overall, I recommend Uncle Chen’s, especially if you don’t feel like waiting hours for, and paying high $$$, for Empress of China.

I ordered Pork Lo Mein absolutely no flavor and I also ordered twice cooked pork. Mostly huge chunks of veggies and not much meat.

Omg, this place is the worst. Hey, what can I say… I’m an east coast girl who KNOWS what good Chinese food is. Granted it’s take out which is not the best thing if you have to complain directly. I really don’t think it’s a Texas thing either because I’ve had decent food delivered from Fresh Wok which btw is takeout too. May I add that both places have a delivery service called Hub Grub. I love a good won ton soup. This was the most ridiculous excuse for any soup. There is only 1 won ton swimming in a whole bunch of broth with about 10 pieces of cut up green part of a scallion. Don’t get me started on the lame fried rice. All it is is steamed rice with some soy sauce to give it color but no taste. The egg roll was nothing special but ok. I ordered shrimp with Chinese vegetables. It was totally bland. That’s when I went to my kitchen to get some strong soy sauce I use when I cook Asian. At least it was palatable but still nothing special. I don’t understand, if these restaurant owners care about reviews you would assume they up their game but maybe they don’t give a rip. Sad. Please save yourself some frustration & order from Fresh Wok or any place other than Uncle Chens. I like to support my community but this time it failed. I also forgot to mention that there was a pointed piece of plastic in my veggies.

Avoid the Pork LoMein. It has this smell… Not like anything I’ve ever smelled. It tasted watery but had no seasoning. Their egg rolls were not regular egg rolls… Also took over an hour.

I tried Uncle Chen’s two years ago and I wasn’t impressed. Something has changed there. They’ve stepped it up and have been consistently good of late. The orange chicken is as good as any I’ve had… white meat with lots of flavor and crisp broccoli. Friendly service as well. Nice job Uncle Chen’s.

No. Asked for steamed not fried rice, because I am violently allergic to eggs. Guess what showed up? You guessed it. Fried rice. Food was cool, under seasoned and frankly tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. No thank you. I know that I am ordering Chinese take out, but you know it really can be done well. But not NOT by this place.

We were recommended this place by our friends who live in the area as an amazing«hole-in-the-wall» Chinese restaurant. Basically I get their egg drop soup, steamed dumplings, and egg rolls. I crave the egg drop soup and the egg rolls on the regular. I haven’t even ordered anything else because I don’t need to. I’ve had Uncle Chen’s both delivered and picked up and they have always been quick & friendly. The only thing that disappoints is that they aren’t open on Mondays!

First, let me start by saying I live with a husband who will literally re-heat two day old McDonalds(yes, I know it’s gross). So needless to say he’s not a picky eater, and neither am I. However, what just showed up at my doorstep was the biggest waste of $ 40. We were both starving and weren’t even able to swallow the first bite. The absolute worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life! The food wasn’t piping hot(which we expect for a delivery and wouldn’t have been been a problem) BUT… it was clearly very old before entering the box. The orange chicken(which was my unfortunate first bite) sauce was almost black and about the consistency of glue, and the broccoli beef(which was my husbands bite) had the same kind of sauce consistency and a gritty something all over it.
At this point it was irately comical. We Dropped a crab Rangoon on the floor and it bounced. The cream cheese inside was old and dried out and when we pulled apart the Rangoon it basically crumbled out. Like I said, we aren’t picky eaters and I can’t even recall the last time I complained about ANYTHING, but I created a Unilocal account just to make this review. I work in restaurant management and WILL be phoning my health inspector to pay them a visit this week. DONOTEATTHERE. If I could post a review with a 0 star rating I would.

Let’s be honest with ourselves. We are ordering take-out here not gourmet cuisine. So with that in mind I was really impressed with what came to the door. The chicken w/broccoli was pretty good. Needed a little soy sauce but otherwise quite tasty. Their rice was surprisingly good. Nothing special just flavorful and not dry or hard like some I’ve had. The sweet and sour chicken was really good. The chicken had great flavor without the sauce which added a nice kick. The spring rolls we ordered were pretty good as well. Again nothing earth shattering but a solid choice. The best part of the meal was probably the egg drop soup. Great flavor and texture and believe it or not warmed up great the next day. They delivered in less than 20 minutes which I was thrilled with. Overall a good choice for those Chinese delivery cravings.

decided to use grub hub to place my order because it was convenient. Ordered the orange chicken lunch special as well as the fried shrimp. Absolutely awful, the breading on the chicken and the shrimp was not cooked all the way, was like eating cake batter. Rice was cold. Overall it was pretty awful.

I just moved to the area yesterday and decided to order because I had not unpacked my kitchen. Needless to say it will never happen again! I had a fairly large order at least 5 lunch specials. My cousin ordered the Mongolian beef and on his first bite, I saw him gag! He proceeded to pull an extremely long hair out of his mouth that seemed to go on forever! Disgusting right! I had the shrimp lo mein which was not cooked all the way. I threw that away immediately after the«hair pulling»! Lol Oh and I should not forget to mention upon first bite of my egg roll there was a long piece of hair like plastic inside! I would say that I’ve gave this place multiple chances by attempting to taste the other items purchased but after finding multiple objects in my and food, not to mention the poor taste on top of that, I WILLNEVEREATHEREAGAIN! I miss my old Chinese takeout place already:(

Came to visit my sister in Euless and we ordered Chinese take out. BAD idea from this restaurant. We order Mongolian beef and it did not come with green onions(as usual) it came with regular cut up yellow onions. My 11 year old even commented it smelled funny. But I thought maybe this was something different and tried it anyway, again very very BAD idea. 4 days later still feeling the«effects» of our decision. I do not recommend this restaurant at all!

This place has been around ever since I can remember, but having had rather unimpressive dishes about several years ago, I hadn’t been a customer after the first visit or two. But being one of the only Chinese places that take online orders for delivery, we decided to give them another chance last night. BIGMISTAKE!!! The very well designed use of Grub Hub to place the order and the on time delivery(actually about 10 faster) had me believing that Chen’s had changed. And I was right, except for hoping it was for the better. The order was for crab rangoon and mu shu pork. Rather simple, basic Chinese-American fare that is hard to screw up. BUT they managed. The oversized 6 crab rangoons had been placed in the styrofoam container before the hot fry oil was allowed to drip off, thus melting it into the fried wonton. Personally I don’t like styro-won-foam-ton. So tearing the top portion off and opening up the accompanying dipping sauce presented the next two unpleasant surprises. First the cream cheese used was apparently old and dried out, since it was moist from the oil and yet crumbly. The dipping sauce was the truly disgusting finish to this appetite killer. I am accustomed to various sorts of sweet, thick«duck» sauces for dipping crab rangoon, but what was presented was some odd cup of soy sauce, oil and a sliver of green onion. I didn’t taste it, so I can’t say what else may have been included, but the oil was obvious because it was the top layer in the cup when it was uncapped. But at least there were visual and aromatic warnings as to the faulty rangoon. Can’t say that so much for the mu shu. The pancakes were a stiff from having been heated and then just tossed in the styrofoam container, but that is a frequent down side to ordering this dish for delivery, so no points lost on that one. The plum sauce looked a little thin, but smelled good. The filling was unimpressive, being very watery, almost no veggies other than the cabbage and green onion, what looked like boiled pork that had no flavor or color, and way too much(again watery) egg. But for me many shortcomings can be disguised by enough, delicious plum sauce. So much for that! The filling was completely tasteless and the primary flavor of this watered-down plum sauce was salt. One pancake and this meal was history! My roommate wisely passed on hers when she saw my face after the first bite. Even the dog was unimpressed. He ate a few veggies and walked away — something he never does when there is a chance of people-food. Essentially, Uncle Chen’s has gone from simply unimpressive to what I consider the worst restaurant in Euless and the definitely the most insulting representation of Chinese food in the North America — short of outright food poisoning. And after being up all night because of the apparent after-effects on me and the dog, maybe a mild case of actual food poisoning would be over quicker.

Headline: That hole in the wall Asian restaurant you’ve been looking for. Uncle Chen’s is the best/most authentic Asian restaurant in the HEB area. This place is prominently known for deliveries, so if you go inside to eat, don’t take what you see at face value. Family owned, they are so nice and quick to get you your meal. I’ve ordered so many times they know my usual order and give me my condiments and sides without me asking. Meats are always cooked/prepared well. The veggies that come with are also delicious. Portion size is great for the amount you spend on each plate, which is on average about $ 7-$ 8. Lunch specials are $ 6. Comes with amazing egg rolls and fortune cookies. They also have delivery specials which are good: i.e. over $ 15 you get two drinks for free. $ 25 five free egg rolls. And others. Can’t express how great this place is, you won’t be disappointed. Usual orders: Curry Chicken and Beef Chop Suey.

Remember that episode of Sex and The City when Miranda was afraid that the girl from her chinese take-out place was making fun of her because she knew her order by heart? Yeah, that’s me and Uncle Chen’s… They are such nice people and they always know my order and even offer up new things to me when I ask to try something new. Same delivery guy everytime… and they never mess up my order :) I love their sweet and sour chicken and I know that is’t the most out there thing that you could order from a take-out place, but hey, it’s pretty spot on and yummy. Wonton and egg drop soup are pretty dope as well. I’ve never dined in and I really don’t plan on it, especially since they have free delivery, so the disparity between mine and Melissa B. post are due to that reason. However, for me Uncle Chen’s is old faithful…
