Wagon Works

I trust wagon works with all of my car work! Jack (one of the workers) is an amazing mechanic and he’s so thorough. They do not overcharge their prices and they are very honest with which part they are fixing. This is my go-​to shop!

I took my Lexus in for a noise on the left side. Tony drove with me and agreed it was a problem on the left side, possibly just needed tired rotated, or maybe needed wheel bearing replaced.
This was my first time trusting anyone other than the lexus dealer, I was trying to save money.
When they called later they said it’s actually the right side once they raised the car and looked. It took a lot of convincing for me to say yes to that repair, but he talked me into it.
At the end of the day, when I’m expecting to pick up my car, I get a call from them stating that the noise was still there on the test drive and they needed to change the left side wheel bearing also. They claimed that both were bad. I do not believe that this was the case. They should have changed 2 left one out first, that was my request.
They also told me that I could see the bad bearings when I came in, but did not have them there.
I don’t trust this shop.

Wagon Works is a great shop. Jack Carpenter and his team are very skilled mechanics. They have an uncommon commitment to delivering excellent customer service at very reasonable prices. I’ve referred at least 25 friends here over the years and never heard anything but positive comments and appreciation. There’s nothing like finding a mechanic that you can really trust. This is the one for me!

Can’t say enough good things.
They move quickly and do everything possible to get you the best deal.
I have been here twice for two different issues with my Honda and they have fixed them same day for an incredible price.

This place is great! We were planning to give our 1991 Honda Accord to our son and the starter was giving out. We took it to Wagon Works about 8am am he called that it was repaired and ready before 1pm!
He charged a fair price and kept our ancient car running strong.

Took my subi in after it was neglected for awhile. There was a spinning bolt on one of the hub assemblies; these guys fixed it quickly and didn’t try to BS with any fluff. Another shop I had taken it to wanted to replace the entire hub assembly (totally unnecessary, and much more expensive). I’ll be back.

They take such good care of people and their cars (in that order). They’re honest, reasonable, and have fantastic attitudes no matter what problems you throw at them.
Affordable, and flexible.
I live in Portland and don’t hesitate or question the 2 hour drive because it’s so worth it. I trust them to do what’s right.

For years, I bounced around mechanics and couldn’t find one I could trust. That is until I started taking my car to Wagon Works. You really get the feeling that these guys are in the business to help people with their car troubles, not to swindle them for unnecessary repairs at outrageous prices. In fact, they’ve even talked me out of repairs I thought were necessary. I just moved to Portland, and am already dreading having to find someone new. Wagon Works is the best!

Learned about Wagon Works from Unilocal reviews. Gave them a shot. Friendly staff, quick service, and best rates from all the places I got quotes from in the area.

Scott is the most honest mechanic I’ve ever worked with. I’m leaving the area and I think I’m going to miss him the most. It’s so rare that you find a mechanic you can trust (particularly in Eugene) and he has done a lot of really solid work on my Volvo.

Honest and knowledgeable and friendly, as other reviewers have said. They did excellent repair work today and at a great price, and turned my car around in less than 24 hours. Highly recommended.

This small shop is managed by honest and knowledgeable mechanics. I had problems with my starter and brought my truck in. They replaced the starter (charging a fair price for good work) and found a fuel leak and fixed that also.

Friendly staff. No bs. Just fast, efficient, and honest service. They didn’t try to add on anything extraneous to my service or bill.
I worked on my car for four days, and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I’m not really a car guy but I do know basics; I just don’t have the equipment to check the electrical components in my car. So I brought it here based on a friends suggestion. Needless to say I’m more than happy. It was something simple and they only charged me for the part… a dollar! :) thanks so much guys.

I was traveling through Eugene, and asked a friend to recommend a mechanic. I took my car over to Wagon Works hoping they could take a look at it on very short notice.
They were fast, friendly, and very helpful. They even undercharged me for the work they did, if you can believe that. In all my years dealing with mechanics, it was a first.

These guys are great. I’ve never felt like I was getting upsold or taken advantage of. And when I’ve taken my car there, they’ve always given me options. I mean, they make sure my car is safe, but explain what needs to be done, and how important it is to do right away, or what can wait. Working with me and my budget to give me the best driving experience possible, while making sure my car is completely safe to drive. Way better experience than most auto places I’ve been, who keep offering to do all these extra things that seem pretty unnecessary.

We wouldn’t trust our cars with anyone else. They kept our old honda running until 265,000 miles we would still have it but it got stolen before it died. These guys are so trustworthy…

I know my way around an automobile, so when my car breaks down the first call I make is to WW. They help me troubleshoot the problem, and it it’s something I don’t want to get involved in they offer highly competitive quotes. Their rates are fantastic!
I’ve even had a car towed to their shop and they helped me figure out what was wrong with it, Scott ordered the part (at their discount price) and showed me how to fix it (and didn’t care if I did it in their parking lot) – all for free!
But for the things I don’t want to do, they are amazing. Scott and Scott are straight shooters, and I’ve used them for over a decade now.
