Mike Tingue – State Farm Insurance Agent

Mike contacted me to see if I’d consider removing my review. I have since switched agents, but before I left Mike and his team DID try to improve things. They are genuinely nice people, but because Mike travels a lot (the reason his office always gave for not responding to my calls/​emails) they are still not as responsive as I’d expect.
What has left an overall poor taste is that working with them has had a lasting impact on my claims record. I’m now denied coverage based on «too many claims» (two claims within a 3 year period of less than $ 700 total = too much). I’d consulted Mike for advice on whether to file the 2^nd claim but was unable to get a response from him despite following up. A $ 300 claim that I would have gladly paid out of pocket is now costing me 3 years of non-​coverage.
If you’re a set it and forget it type of client or someone with very straightforward needs then working with this team is fine. Otherwise, I would speak with several different agents and pick a good fit from there.
