Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs

I’ve only used Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs twice, but so far, the company is batting 1000! Not only was it easy to call in and order a cab, but both times, I received multiple text messages, confirming my order and updating me –to the minute– on when my taxi would arrive. In both situations, my cab driver (s) arrived early, helped me put my luggage in the trunk, and waited until I got in the car to turn on the meter. They were also both super friendly and conversational :) I highly recommend this taxi service– especially if you’re traveling with friends! There’s no charge for extra bodies, and you’ll get to your destination with time to spare.

I’ve got to say, I was a bit nervous booking this taxi co. due to some of the negative reviews. I usually always check Unilocal first and Eugene has slim pickings when it comes to airport transportation. I must say I was very relieved that I didn’t listen to them and took a chance on Eugene Hybrid Taxi cab co. My son needed a cab today from school to the airport, to play it safe I booked the cab the night before along with a pick up time much earlier than we needed. Well, they picked him up right on time in front of his building. He said the driver (Darby) was very nice and professional, he even gave him a student discount ($ 21) :)
He may be a few hours early for his flight, but he IS at the airport ;)

We called a couple other companies first who couldn’t get a car to us soon. I called Eugene Hybrid Taxi and had a car in the promised 10 minutes. The driver was clean cut and a quick yet safe driver. I’d definitely use them again.

Pleasant, polite, friendly drivers. The airport roundtrip deal is great. Will definitely use them again.

Called midafternoon Saturday for a taxi from downtown. Girl taking my call was clueless, asked way too many questions, and didn’t provide an estimate of time to pickup. Fifteen minutes later I called again to see where my cab was. She hems and haws and says «It will be there soon.» I ask what that means. More checking, and she says that their driver didn’t get back to her with a yes on the pickup, but she is sure he will soon. I cancelled, called a competitor, and got picked up in five minutes. VERY unprofessional, and a waste of my time. I will not use them again.

I won’t ever use this company again due to the horrible service I received trying to set up a ride. My husband and I took the cab to the airport. Our driver was amazing! Since I was flying back by myself, I asked for the cab driver’s card so I could set it up for my return flight. He didn’t have one which was okay but he assured me that I could call on my way back. Upon returning, I called like I was told. The dispatcher was rude and not helpful. He said he couldn’t help me and proceeded to hang up on me when I was in mid sentence explaining what the previous cab driver told me. After all of this, I ended up using a different cab company that I will definitely be referring to my clients and family.

We got stuck at a motel that was too far away to walk to the Duck football game and used this company to get to and from the game. They were terrific and easy to work with. We received a text letting us know that the cab was on its way. Both times the driver arrived on time (or early) and was friendly and helpful. The cabs were clean and the prices were as estimated. We’ll definitely use them again if we find ourselves in need of a ride in Eugene!

Drivers are always professional and courteous. Only one of two taxi companies in Eugene I would ever consider using. Love the idea behind the use of hybrid cars. The owners are great people who are open to helping customers and they are all around good people.

Pretty standard taxi service. Crazy but nice drivers, somewhat clean cars, not a terribly long wait after calling. My only issue is how short and rude the operators are when calling for a cab.

I didn’t want to subject any of my friends to the task of taking me to the airport at the crack of dawn. So I called Eugene Hybrid Taxi a few days before my flight to make a reservation for 5:15 am. John picked me up right on time. The sun wasn’t even up yet. He was a courteous, safe driver, and even asked if I had a preferred route to the airport. The final cost (not including tip) was a few dollars less than the online estimate. I was able to pay with my credit card via square, which was an added bonus.

I called and scheduled a can for my husband when he got into the airport. My husband said the driver was on time, really nice and the cab was really nice! Thanks!

While we usually have good service we had an truly terrible experience last night. After being told that it would be 20 minutes for our pick up, we received a call while waiting that our address was invalid due to the fact that the fraternity was closed for the summer. His excuse was invalid due to the fact that we had friends actively living there. When I became upset (it was 3 AM) he then informed me that he would not be picking us up because I was «intoxicated». I was not intoxicated, just upset. I told him we had been drinking earlier that night which is why we chose to call a cab. After he refused we called the main number to request a different cab the operator informed us that the cab driver cancelled our pick up because he had been «cussed out». This was also untrue. I’ve cussed out customer service reps before and this was not one of those times.
Long story short, don’t call here after you’ve had a few drinks and need to get home safely. Also don’t call them from the UO campus during the summer because it is apparently closed. After loving Hybrid and using them exclusively for over a year, we will have to go back to the other limited options in Eugene. The way we were treated and talked to was inexcusable for an operation that relies on customer service so heavily.

Glad to see the customer service is consistently bad even after a complaint.
Our ride to the show made it, and was on the phone the whole time. I saw probably twenty other people get in cabs after the show, not sure why you guys couldn’t make it.
I just don’t want people to ignore the bad reviews like we did and get stranded late at night. Won’t happen again.

Have tried to reach Eugene Taxi Cabs twice in two days, only to get a message that says, «thank you for calling Eugene Hybrid Taxi Cabs, we are extremely busy, please call back shortly». Not a great thing if you need a ride immediately! Fortunately, I was trying to make a reservation. Won’t even try again.

I called Eugene hybrid taxis and asked them to pick me up in an hour from the university. The cab driver was on time — in fact, a little early, which was great. He was super friendly, very pleasant, and a good driver. He got me to my destination on time. I will definitely be using them from now on for taxi services. They’re awesome!

I made an appointment ahead of time to catch a ducks game in Eugene. Scheduled to meet us at Eugene airport. Due to weather we had to divert to Creswell airport. David (cab driver) called us in flight to give us an update about the poor weather conditions (very nice). When we made it to Creswell airport, I called David who was waiting at Eugene Airport, told him what happened and he said he was now on his way to Creswell. He showed up in 10 – 15 mins wearing a Ducks Jersey. Fun, nice, informative cab driver. He gave us a number so we can call him after the game. Met him at a suggested location a short ways from the stadium. Everything worked out great. I was very happy with the service. Ask for David to pick you up, you won’t regret it, good local knowledge.

I wish I could give 0 stars, and here’s why. I called these people and asked for a cab at 7am the next day, and the person on the phone said it was set up. I should have known by the perma-​stoned sound of his voice that I shouldn’t have trusted him.
So the next day rolls around and at 7:05, still no cab. I had to catch a shuttle to Portland at 7:30, and if I missed it, I would have missed my flight in Portland too! So I call them up, and this time I get a constantly yelling man on the phone. Oh guess what: my appointment wasn’t scheduled in his book! Yes, so now I DIRELY have to be somewhere in 25 minutes, with no cab. The yelling man offers to transfer me to some other cabbie but there was no way I was giving him my business after all this.
So as I’m walking towards my destination with my three pieces of luggage, meanwhile calling every other cab company, a miracle happens. Just a few houses down from me, an Oregon taxi guy was sweeping out his cab. I begged him to take me to my destination, explaining my dire situation, and he agreed despite just getting off fourteen-​hour shift. Not just that, but he was friendly and nice the entire ride.
Morals of the story: 1. If you actually want a cab, don’t go with eugene hybrid taxi cabs.
2.Oregon Taxi drivers are godsends.

Excellent experience. Driver was a few minutes early and helped us load our luggage. Trip estimator on their website was accurate to within $.50 of the actual fare. Friendly, professional, driver. I will definitely use this service again!

Super friendly driver, arrived early to take me to the airport, which was appreciated, especially when he didn’t charge me extra for waiting since I wasn’t ready to go yet. They also gave me a 20% discount since I made a reservation for my airport drop. I’ll definitely call them whenever I need a taxi!
