Comcast Service Center

After an introductory rate of around $ 40.00 for internet only, Comcast/​Xfinity raked our rate up to $ 96.00 a month. We entered into a contract again so that we could get the rate lowered again, and the sales guy said our bill would be around $ 60.00 month for internet and a cable bundle. Sounds like a good deal… but after 30 day and 1 billing cycle, the bill came in over $ 75.00. I am one NOT happy girl. I asked for them to find the recording of the sales call, which was recorded, and to listen to the man tell me what was included and what the price was. Turns out, those recorded calls are not accessible. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

Okay. They opened the door-​before we got to it-​for us. They immediately had someone available to help. Wanda quickly pulled the account info for the router modem combo we brought in for the bf’s mom. She knew exactly what we meant when we said we wanted to swap them. She activated it for us and handed us the new one. Done. Trip completed. All under 5min. And with a GIANT smile and very helpful pace. We didn’t at all feel rushed just very well taken care of. Thank you Eugene Comcast folks! :)

This place is a legit joke. It is seriously worse than the DMV. It smells worse, the service is terrible, and half the people in here are in for questions that could be solved over the phone.
It is wretched and awful and I can’t wait for municipal fiber and Google fiber to wipe these places off the map. Rip in hell Comcast.

So I went here to swap out a DVR that gave up the ghost. No problem, it happens in today’s world. Figured it would be faster than waiting the few days for Comcast to send out a tech.
Well…if you ever want to see a group of people that even Wal-​Mart would try to keep out of their stores, stop in here. I doubt there was a full set of teeth in the place. Dirty, loud kids were everywhere… is this some kind of daycare? I’ve seen free range chickens with better discipline. And no, that isn’t a put-​down of the kids, but rather their carnival worker parents.
Now none of this is a knock against Comcast, they were fine and mostly efficient. But in the future, could they perhaps have two service centers? One for the paint huffing crowd trying to get cable turned back on because they were laid off from their job at the jackass factory and one for the rest of us trying to get in and out in the shortest time frame possible?

I’ve had some pretty crappy service from Comcast in the past. I had heard that they were trying to improve their customer service and that certainly seems to be the case. Last week my husband and I went in to trade in some old equipment, upgrade to X1 and drop a few channels we really didn’t need, maybe save a couple bucks. The place was packed but there were employees at every window and we were helped in about 10 minutes. Samantha B. listened to what we wanted and needed and spent all the time it took to get everything exactly right. We ended up saving over $ 100 a month even after adding the home security package. This morning Ty, the installer, showed up on time (actually early! WTF? When does THAT happen?) and spent hours making sure all the cameras and sensors were exactly the way my husband wanted them. He was awesome with our dogs, super friendly and we really couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Samantha and Ty managed to restore my faith in Comcast, and that is saying something.

I’ve been on hold for customer service for 55 minutes. My favorite TV show on Channel 10 OPB, the Antique Roadshow, disappeared without notice, to be replaced by TMZ, with, by the way, no sound. I read that they’ve been fined in other states for these long waits.

In deference to those who have come before me, I have to admonish them for their disrespectful things they said about Comcast. For example, Joe S states «They are stingy, cheap, deceptive, unhelpful, uncaring, and disgustingly up-​selling». Joe, I’m sure you can do better than that! You forgot things like underhanded, lying, hypocritical and without benefit of being born in wedlock! Every time (and I mean every time!) I have any contact with Comcast it invariably ends in my frustration level being so high that it’s a good thing I work for a company that offers the EAP!!! The service is world class sucky! And speaking of world class, who the hell is answering the phones??? Too bad they can’t keep these jobs in the US so I can speak with someone who can speak English (I realize that’s not always true in this country either. Ever talk to someone in the south?) I spent 45 minutes last night trying to get a technical problem resolved and I still have no idea what this guy said! When I went to the local office to complain, all they said was that no one there had any power to resolve a service issue with the phone center. Great company! When my contract is up with them, I’m dumping them so fast they’ll wonder where my check went… for about 2 minutes!
Too bad I can’t give negative stars! Where do I buy stock?

My experience with Comcast on Chad Drive had always been a decent one. First, the bad. Due to having only one service center in the Eugene /​Springfield area, this location is always slammed with people. Think almost-​DMV-​level-​busy (although the line moves much faster). Truthfully it can be quite tedious waiting for 10 to 25 minutes just to see an account representative to say swap equipment or sign up for a new service. Also, you’d be surprised by some of the… outlandish customers waiting in the lobby with you. I found some of them to be very rude and obnoxious.
Now for the good. The employees (and managers) on hand are extremely polite, flexible, and professional. Although they lack some nitty-​gritty technical expertise, they are proficient at resolving billing issues, general account management, and (big thumbs up here) lowering your monthly statement and/​or giving you a great new signup rate. The latter has made every trip well worth it. They also usually have the latest and greatest equipment on hand, which is important for tech buffs such as myself. Compared to contacting a call center, I choose dropping by the Chad Dr. location every time.

My boyfriend went in to this store earlier today to transfer over our service. Vincent took such great care of us and our needs. This is how it went: At one point another customer came up and interrupted my appointment which I thought was rude, but Vincent was very professional and made sure I was his priority. I really appreciate that kind of customer service. He was looking out for us and sent me home with everything I needed and a couple of reusable Comcast shopping bags. He helped answer all of my questions about transferring and any miscellaneous fees that I would have to pay/​not have to pay.
After hearing such bad reviews on Comcast’s customer service we were pleasantly surprised that we received such great care from the staff. We will definitely return to this store even thought it isn’t even the closest location and hopefully Vincent will still be there-​he makes it worth coming back! Thanks Vincent!

Well, I have been on the phone for about an hour waiting for customer service this morning! For almost 2 weeks now our cable boxes have been turning off on their own, and now my bed room cable box all of my movie channels only speak Spanish! I can’t get a person to speak to me only a video to tell me to do the settings on my tv to English! Well what do you do when you have already done that? Thanks genius comcast for having me hold and not answering my questions! Your really making it easy for me to want to switch to satellite! We have been wanting to anyway because it would be nice to have in our trailer! Your service has been getting crappy anyway as well as the price getting higher! How is that fair? Bend over with no vaseline!

I had written in another review that Lowe’s had the worst customer service ever, but I was so so so so wrong. I’ll have to go back and edit that in fairness to Lowe’s.
I’m starting a ISP revolution in Eugene and we will become filthy stinking rich. Who’s with me?! Mayor Kitty, please climb on board! Comcast’s shady business practices border on the illegal I’m pretty sure.
Yes, spending even 5 minutes on the phone with these people obviously sent me to crazy town. This review is evidence of that.

I have been trying to resolve an internet connectivity issue for well over a month now with no success. Multiple phone calls to people who do not speak english result in multiple visits from local servicemen trying to fix the problem without the information given to idiot customer service reps, although each one of them says the problem is outside in the improperly installed cable from the distribution box running to the house! I truly believe that a class action lawsuit should be considered on multiple fronts. I am paying for a service that works occasionally by a company that has a monopoly on internet service in my area. If only we could file a lawsuit on «stupid». Comcast is hands down the worst company when it comes to taking care of their customers. They seem to just be interested in finding new ones that they can screw.

The absolute worst internet service experience I have had. I have over 17 years experience in the IT industry and this experience tops them all. Constant outages, the most epic pass-​the-​buck customer service fails I have ever seen. I have been having daily issues with my connection for 6 months. In California where Comcast has some competition they are much better. Here in Lane County, not so much. Steer clear!

Yes, it happened to me, too. Comcast confirmed my future bill amount via email. When the bill arrived it was higher than what Comcast had confirmed in their email. Comcast customer service was zero help. I agree that Comcast should be held responsible for their poor business practices. Solution sign up with a different company.

There is a reason 2 million people tried to file a class action suit against Comcast. I, too, was LIED to by Comcast. We are switching and for the exact same service we will be paying almost 60 dollars less a month with Dish… and for those of you who are Duck fans. it includes the Pac 12 channel. This includes internet.

This is the worst place in the modern world. Over 20 people waiting with 4 people spottily manning the desk. A number system that seems to just offer random numbers. One employee was chit chatting about a customers home town for 20 minutes while I waited for over 40 minutes to pick up a router. Comcast needs to pull it together and quite treating customers like there time is useless.

I am so tired of comcast. I could write a long review about how much they suck but here are the basics.
1. They rip you off
2. The customer service is terrible.
There are no other providers with good internet in the Eugene area so I have to stay with them for internet. I have already switched to DISH network and I, so far, like the service.
But for now I have to stay with comcast internet. I hope another company comes around soon to kick comcast out!

If I could give them 0 I would. I told the representative exactly what I wanted. I didn’t get it. The equipment was defective that he gave me. The reps that I dealt with after having issues with my service were rude. I had to wait an hour at the office location to exchange the defective equipment. Overall horrible experience with Comcast. I will gladly pay more for a company that will make the effort to give me what I want.

I have now been flat out lied to five times, with five different workers over the same issue! I can still hardly believe it. Six months ago, I bought my own cable modem. I gave the Comcast modem back to a tech worker who was out at my house to fix a (never resolved) problem with my connection. He did not give me a receipt. He said that the $ 7 fee would be removed from my bill. Of course, on next month’s bill the fee was still there.
I used the Comcast chat. I was told it would be taken off of my bill next month and I would be given a credit for $ 7. Next month, same thing. I opened a new chat. I have gone through this every month since then (I have the logs). Every time I am assured that I will be given credit and the fee will be taken off. Every month they lie to me.
This month, my wife called (I was too angry). She talked to a supervisor and demanded to get what exactly they promised to do in writing (email). They insisted that no one there had email and couldn’t confirm what they promised. After insisting, they agreed to send an email (amazing) immediately. As of now, (many hours later) no email.
The authorities need to investigate Comcast. Workers do not consistently lie and cheat without motivation or compensation (what’s in it for them?). There must be some incentive for them to lie and cheat people coming from the top. Just like Bank of America, and others. We all know it. It’s time for someone to DO SOMETHING.
EDIT: Make that six times. James Ready, «Operations Consultant» at the local office was extremely rude to my wife and also made a promise to her of a refund, which turned out to be unfulfilled. It seems to be policy with Comcast to lie to customers to assuage their frustration, promising them refunds they have no intention of delivering on.

My experience yesterday echoed all of these previous reviews (except for the urinating on the house one).
Comcast has atrocious customer service – both in person and by phone. When I called, I was put on hold for over 35 minutes, the «customer service» agent didn’t listen to me at all, and was rude and argumentative when I tried to clarify my request.
When I told her that I often get bumped off-​line and that pages are loading extremely slowly – as in Dial-​Up-​Days slow – the agent said the problem is probably with my computers, but in fact, they are all quite new.
Two thumbs way down on Comcast.
