Great way to get low impact exercise! I love the setup and kid friendly environment as well as how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Very clean space (I saw them wiping down all the mats after the last class). I was only in town for a few days visiting family but this definitely makes me want to find some Barre3 classes in my area. Great all around experience!

I have been loving my Barre3 classes this summer! I bought an unlimited package in mid July so I’ve been taking classes about 5 days/​week for 5 weeks. I’m totally addicted! All the teachers are super nice and supportive, most of them incorporating their students names into the class at some point, usually with a compliment about how awesome or beautiful our bodies are– very empowering.
I have become familiar enough with the barre method to quickly catch on when the moves get switched up, yet am constantly challenged and still get the «shakes and quakes» every time!
I love how many classes are offered throughout the day and into the evening. No matter what my changing schedule brings, I can always find a class.
The instructors and staff constantly make me feel welcome, as do the other members. It’s such a beautiful studio, but also cultivates beauty. The end-​of-​class gratitude delivers a well needed reminder about our strong minds, hearts and bodies, and thanks us for being there. I just love it and can’t wait to go back the next day!

Today, I finished up my 3 classes for $ 30 intro offer, which is a great deal! This place is wonderful. The classes are pretty small (less than ten people), and everyone is very supportive. I never feel judged.
The venue is clean, and they provide everything you need. They also lock the front door while class is in session so you can feel secure that your stuff is safe.
The two instructors I’ve taken classes from (Jodi and Karli) are both amazing, keep the workout going, and give great encouragement to keep me going that extra little bit, just what I need to push thru the burn — and burn I do! This is a great workout at a great location downtown! I’m hooked!

Just had my first class here! I’m ridiculously out of shape after finishing university, and this was a great experience. I was pretty intimidated by starting here since the UO fitness classes all had a pretty competitive vibe. This was the opposite and I’d encourage individuals of all shapes, sizes, and experiences to give it a go. The instructor encouraged me without making me feel icky about where I’m at, and there were options for almost every pose. Thanks for making me feel welcome!

this is a very serene and beautiful place to workout. all the patrons are friendly and nice. this is the hardest workout I have ever loved. it will seriously kick your butt — even if you’re already in shape. the teachers are amazing. they are very knowledgeable and skilled, as well as treating you like their new best friend. the fee is a little high, but totally worth it! I will also add, that they are super clean; the floors are dirt and lint free and they disinfect all the mats between each class.

I’ve been going to this studio since it opened and it remains as clean and well decorated since the day it opened. The owner, staff/​instructors are so sincere and committed to their clients. It’s a GREAT workout in a very safe, comfortable, motivated environment. As a woman who’s tried several gyms and other studios I finally found my workout home!

Oh my gawd Summer’s classes will make your legs ache and quake! I haven’t been to a class in over 2 years and I couldn’t believe how unbelievably hard it was. I had to listen to my body and take a break several times. I ain’t no sissy but my body was weeping. But I take a breath and remind myself mind over matter! Your body gives up before your body does. When class is over I feel so much better about myself. You go girl!
I love the music that they have blasting during class. It certainly helps to keep us focused and motivated. I liked it so much I found the playlist on Spotify.
The staff here are great. I love the décor and how clean the studio is. I’d love to go to a class several times a week but it’s a bit too pricey for me. I’ll keep an eye out for anything on Groupon.

I enjoyed the encouraging atmosphere and didn’t feel self-​conscious about my skills/​abilities. It was a really great workout… I will be continuing Barre3!

I’m sorry — this barre studio is not worth it in terms of price & quality. As much as I wanted to love this place — this barre studio just does not compare to others. I’ve done barre workouts at Pure Barre in Los Angeles, The Dailey Method in San Francisco and The Bar Method (also in SF). Barre3 is hardly challenging in comparison. I went to barre3 for about 5 months and took about 20+ class. I would say there is probably 1 – 2 teachers who are challenging. However, there was very little attention to adjusting people’s postures and poses. I got a lot of attention my first class & was pretty much ignored the rest of my time there.
That being said — this is the only barre studio in Eugene. So, perhaps it’s worth a shot just to adjust to barre workouts.
The 2 stars is just about the actual workouts. The staff is really nice & the studio is nicely maintained and clean.

Really enjoyed my time at Barre 3 and would definitely continue if I hadn’t moved away. These classes are awesome and intense– you definitely leave feeling as if you got a workout, particularly from Brenda or Jessica.
I’ve enjoyed pilates in the past but struggled with yoga as I could never really get into the zone. These classes do it for me. They’re tough enough that you have to focus and let everything else just sort of slide away which is a great feeling but not so tough that you feel compelled to leave after 5 minutes because it’s too tough. Lots of modifications are offered so you always feel as if you can work out at your level. I never noticed or picked up on judgment from others as it appears that everyone is focused on just pushing themselves.
You can reserve your space beforehand or just drop-​in if there is space. The facility is bright, spacious and clean. I had no apprehension about walking around everywhere barefoot because you can tell that they do a good job cleaning.
Because of other factors, this ended up being my primary training for a 39.3 mile Avon walk in San Francisco (26.1 on Sat and 13.1 on Sun). I was apprehensive that it was sufficient but this is great training for just over strength and perseverance. You leave classes feeling stronger, tired and bit more grounded. Needless to say, would recommend highly.

Everyone is very friendly so far. Clean facility, and great workout. I recommend you give it a try!

After my third class I feel ready to rave. I am a fan of Eugene’s Barre workout.
For starters, class sizes are fixed enrollment, with sign-​ups required online. This smart step ensures that classes are no larger than what the room, barre and equipment can handle.
Once you arrive at Barre 3, you sign in, stash your stuff in the numerous cubbies or coat racks up front, and proceed directly to class or to the locker room, depending on your current clothing status. The locker room is quite small, with only one visible shower stall (- 1 star), and quite a few cabinets. (make sure to bring your own padlock if you’re concerned about valuables). Still, the back facilities are impeccably clean with good products stashed everywhere.
As soon as it’s time for class, class begins. Verbal instructions are straightforward to follow, provided a person has a background in ballet, pilates, or yoga. If not, I think it would be a bit difficult to follow along and employ the correct movements. This is an important point if you’re evaluating the class’ goodness of fit with your exercise level.
If you do have a background in one of those areas, this class will be a good fit. It’s a fabulous low-​impact, kick-​a** workout. It kicks my booty, that’s for sure. I consider myself in reasonably good shape. My BMI is in the right place, I’ve run two ½ marathons in the past year, for five years I was a regular, 6-​day /​week Ashtangi (this until I had to move away from my studio). Still, I can’t finish all of the reps OR add weights yet to most of the sets here. I think a person could make the class as easy or as difficult as they want, though. There are a variety of fitness levels in each class, and everyone makes it through the workout just fine.
If you’re curious about Barre 3, I encourage you to swing in. It lives up to the hype, and will keep that holiday weight far, far away.

I was visiting my friend in Eugene and decided to try a Barre class for the first time, and I’m glad I chose Barre3! About the studio: hardwood floors ad NO SOCKS. I do wonder if they wipe down all the stuff, but overall, I would definitely recommend this studio.
I think my instructor was Jessica? I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She set a really good pace; she was generally in center of room so it was easy to see what we needed to do because she would model it for us; and she didn’t rush through instructions. She’d come by and acknowledge me by my name, saying that I was doing well. I liked that she always had modifications to make the poses harder or easier. I also liked that they had some bars meant especially for shorter folks ;)
We started out with mat work first, and boy did that kick my butt. At the time I took the class, I was working out fairly regularly (4 – 5 days/​week at the gym anywhere between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours), so I was not expecting to feel the way I did after just the mat work. Moving into bar work… I was shaking every second. The girl in front of me as well as the one behind me were in the same state.
The instructor was encouraging and her husband made us smoothie shots to enjoy after the class for some reason… blueberry oatmeal flax or something equally healthy sounding. I think it was maybe the anniversary of the studio opening?
There’s cold water to be had and lockers to shower in if that’s what you’re looking for… I also like that they had open cubbies, but also lockers where you could lock stuff up.
For those folks with children: it seems like they have a day care.
The only con to this place is that they don’t have a private lot, so come early to find street parking!

I hate exercising. It’s awkward. It hurts. It makes my face turn red. Everyone is WAY better at it than me. And for some crazy reason, I feel like I need 10 pounds of food and a nap afterwards… BUT, I wanna to live forever. I wanna drink beer… LOTS of beer. And I really really hate shopping! Especially for jeans because my perfectly good expensive jeans barely button.
So, here I am at Barre and it is kicking my a**!! It’s such a great workout. The instructors keep you focused on the whole body constantly reminding you to bring in your navel, lengthen your spine, breathe and maybe. drop a little lower or raise those heels a little higher. They are in search of those shakes and quakes and, By Golly, they are going to help you find them!!!
This class really strengthens and tones and MAKES you step out of your life for that one hour and into your body.
It’s truly one of those love/​hate relationships…

I love this studio, the instructors and the workouts. Each instructor teaches their classes a bit differently, some are more ballet inspired, some are pilates inspired and some have more yoga elements in their classes. All instructors push you to work «smarter not harder» and if I don’t go for a week or two I am SORE the day after class. The studio is spotlessly clean, the classes always start and end on time, and the owner of the studio clearly cares about the clients and her business. It is the type of place you want to see succeed!
The results are excellent! I look and feel much better than when I started six months ago. My clothes fit more comfortably and my mom noted that my shape is slimmed and toned and my belly has smoothed out. I don’t do any cardio and don’t watch my diet and am amazed that there is such a difference in my shape without a decrease on the scale. Barre3 is inspiring me to jog a little and watch what I eat!
I leave each class surprised that the hour went by so quickly, feeling calm and content, and proud at what I was able to do! The students are of all shapes and abilities, and the classes are possible and challenging for everyone in the room. I highly recommend this studio.

This is such a great addition to downtown Eugene! This is a great class with elements of yoga, pilates, with a barre for balance. You will leave here with your legs shaking from a great workout. There is a variety of times, you can see who is teaching online and reserve your class spot. I have enjoyed every teacher I have had for class and when one is in training they do not charge you. It is also great that ALL students are eligible to buy the deals they offer. I have referred many people here that are looking for a good strengthening class that also has a small day care.

I used to live in Seattle, and various barre-​based studios began to arrive on the scene right around the time I moved to Eugene. So, I was THRILLED to see Barre3 open in downtown Eugene, just a few blocks from where I Iive.
I have attended many classes at Barre3, and contrary to previous (ahem) ‘reviews,’ «mud-​wrestling,» «jello shots,» and «force feeding doughnuts» have NEVER been on the agenda! Apologies if that comes as a disappointment to anyone, but there are plenty of other components of a Barre3 class that I enjoy MUCH more!
What is part of a class: a killer workout, including stretching, toning and strength-​training/​resistance exercises; detailed guidance from instructors, including demonstrations, modifications, and corrections when needed; a supportive environment of folks with different athletic builds and backgrounds; and positive, energizing results! I feel a difference in my posture, and find myself standing taller and sitting up straighter at my desk at work. I also run quite a bit (anywhere from 25 – 50 miles/​week) and have noticed that my stronger core means more support on those weekend long runs! The instructors are fabulous, and do a great job of mixing up the workouts so that you don’t fall into a rut. Although each class generally includes a floor and barre warmup, barre stretching, and focused exercises for arms, core, legs, and glutes, the specific moves vary slightly, along with the fun playlists. Don’t worry if you find your muscles shaking during the class – that’s a GOOD sign!
The studio itself is clean and spacious, and mats, weights, balls, and straps are all provided. Although I’ve never used it (again, I live super close), shower facilities along with lockers, a hair dryer, and cotton balls/​Q-​tips are available if you’re trying to head somewhere straight from class. I’m not a mom, but on-​site childcare seems like it would be a HUGE plus to a parent who has limited time to squeeze in a workout. Classes and childcare can be reserved online.
Be sure to take advantage of the ‘new client’ class options on your first visit!

Eugene is blessed to have a facility like this. Stylish, soothing and impeccably clean interior (like that of a ritzy day spa) but without a high maintenance set-​up. Yoga mats, weights, foam balls, and even cute little locker keys are provided: all you have to do is show up with a water bottle.
I purchased the 3-​classes-​for-​$ 30 deal and am now hooked. Even after just one 60 minute session, I notice a difference in my legs, abs, posture, and overall energy level. As if that’s not reason enough to go, I feel like these classes make me a better dancer/​mover, and more coordinated. The teachers have been great about correcting my form (I ran track and my running form is terrible, so you can imagine what my dancing form is like) and are extremely patient. Lou Moulder, who was also my instructor for a UO ballet class, taught one of the morning classes I attended, and she was a blast. Fun, friendly, and extremely helpful.
I love barre3 because it’s a trifecta of awesomeness: it’s sweat-​inducing, muscle-​toning, and relaxing all at the same time. And who doesn’t want to start their morning feeling like a ballerina-​pilates warrior goddess?

A good friend of mine told me about Barre3 opening recently and how she was hooked on the classes. Learning that the workouts incorporate yoga, pilates and ballet barre work, I was intrigued. However, I am not in a position to pay monthly membership fees to a workout facility. Checked out their website, and was pleased to see that you can pay for individual classes, groups of classes, or monthly memberships. Once I saw they offer for new customers a 3 class package for $ 30, I was sold. Online ordering was a breeze and I was able to reserve a spot in the 5:45 pm class.
Beautiful space in the downtown Broadway building. Entry has a play area for kids, lots of windows, and a sparkling clean and modern interior. Locker rooms provide free lockers, shower, hair dryer and simple amenities.
The actual workout was more intense than I realized it would be. Focusing on stretching, working your core, small movements to work small muscle groups, I was breaking a sweat during the warmups. Doing a gentle squat while on your tip toes, and pulsing up and down with hand weights sounds easy, but my legs were shaking like hurricanes after only 15 minutes. I felt the whole workout was very well balanced and simple enough for a beginner to pick up. It was humbling, intense, effective and enjoyable all at once.
They provide all equipment; mats, resistance straps, balls and weights. The instructor at my class was very nice to work with; professional, knowledgeable and encouraging.
They are still new, and expanding their course times, but they announced early morning classes, evening and weekends as well. I genuinely can’t wait to use my remaining classes.

Exercise for chumps and nincompoops. Mud wrestling and jello shots are not my idea of good cardio. A$$ kissing isn’t «real» strength training. Please tell me when naked grappling became part of the fitness world, and stop trying to force feed me doughnuts!
