Austin 1 Stop Plumbing

They were supposed to call and schedule a time to come out to fix our sink and dishwasher. We called them at 8am on Saturday morning only to find out that they will be coming between 8−10am. When we asked them why they didn’t call us 24 hours in advance like they said they would we were treated rudely by their receptionist who actually started to argue with us. This is the second time that they have come out and not fixed the problem. Eugene is a big town so if I were you I would find a different, more professional plumber to work with.

We have been using Austin-​Peterson Plumbing for about 10 years now and have always had a good experiences. When our old water heater died about 5 years ago they replaced it quickly, and it has never given us any problems.
This last week, we lost hot water in the shower only. The came out and diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. While they were there they noticed problems with the sink — a broken handle that we had been ignoring. the plumber mentioned that the manufacturer of the handle had a lifetime warranty, and she could repair it for us at no cost to us. So she ordered the parts and told us to call when they came in — she did not collect payment for the service call, just said we could settle up when it was all done. That was great service and is why we keep going back to them.

We are upsizing our waterheater from 40 to 80 gallon and wanting bids from 3 companies. So far we have two different opinions and two free estimates from two very professional, courteous plumbers with a $ 1200 difference in price. Called Austin 1-​stop thinking they would be in the middle. Well… These guys will not give free estimates or bids. They charge you a one hour minimum just to come to your house to tell you IF they can do the job and then they tell you what it MIGHT cost. There are many other plumbers in Eugene, so if you are NOT in an emergency situation then I’d definitely shop elsewhere. Austin 1-​stop — methinks not!
