Prodigy Pest Solutions utilizes state-​of-​the art techniques such as thermal pest management, also known as «heat treatment,» to effectively eradicate your bed bug infestation. Established in 2012.

Prodigy Pest Solutions was established in 2012 with a desire to do pest control differently. At Prodigy, we pride ourselves on offering people an honest, integrity based approach to bed bug removal and customer service. Being responsive to the needs of our customers was central to our business plan. We aim to help people deal with their pest problems by providing them with factual, research based information to inform them and help them understand why and how we do what we do.

Bed bugs are an often misunderstood pest. Here at Prodigy, we make it our business to know the research, know the pest, and know the treatments that provide our customers with an approach that will solve their problem. We utilize the most innovative technologies and products to effectively eradicate bed bugs, once and for all.

Business Owner

Matt began his career in Pest Control several years ago as a technician. Matt worked his way up in a larger pest control company, earning accolades along the way for his work ethic and quality of work. He was an advanced technician and knew his craft so well, he was promoted to a Market Development Representative, assisting customers in developing strategies to treat their problem. Matt always wished to pursue his dream of owning his own company. In 2012, he made this dream a reality. He started Prodigy Pest Solutions and keeping with his dream, created a local, family owned company.

Matt loves helping and interacting with people. He strives to do things differently for people and offer them effective, proven methods and strategies to help with their pest problems. Being a family man and a pet lover, Matt only utilizes strategies for his customers that he would feel comfortable using in his own home, around his baby and his English Mastiff pup.

I only regret I didn’t call Prodigy Pest Solutions sooner. I noticed bed bug bites in the late summer and even after having an exterminator come in and spray my bed several times and trying every natural remedy we could find on the internet-​nothing worked!
I was literally at my wits end by the time I called Prodigy and by the end of my first phone call with Sabrina I immediately felt like a normal person again. I chose the heat treatment option and even though it was pricey, it was guaranteed and I haven’t found any bites since nor has my partner since we had the treatment a month ago.
Every interaction I’ve had with any employee/​representative of Prodigy has been nothing short of pleasant and professional; from Sabrina who answered all of my questions, to the men who came and serviced my appointment (and even gave me an extra ten minutes to get ready to leave for work), and the email I got from Matt after everything asking if I had a positive experience. I definitely recommend calling Prodigy if you’re looking for a local business to support that will go above and beyond what you’re asking for.

An excellent, family-​owned business that gets the job done! No one is excited to have to hire an exterminator, but sometimes you have no choice. I am SO glad we went with Prodigy. They were extremely kind over the phone, patient in answering questions in person, and they solved my issue once and for all. The technician came back, as promised, two weeks later to make sure the issue had been completely resolved. I truly appreciated their commitment and professionalism. Bravo!

Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly with great customer service.
My girlfriend and I awoke one morning with bites on us, not positive at first what they were so we did some research and found we may have a bed bug problem. The first company I called said they couldn’t come out for a few days so we set an appointment and that day came and went. They didn’t show up or have the courtesy to call and explain why they couldn’t come or try to reschedule. Then we found Prodigy on the internet, after reading all their good reviews we called and scheduled an appointment. Wish we would have called them first.
My experience with Matt at Prodigy was excellent. They returned my call right away and scheduled a appointment the next day. I was very worried about this bed bug issue and couldn’t even get a good nights sleep with it on my mind so I really appreciated how prompt and professional they were. I had many questions since I didn’t know much about this kind of infestation and they answered every question to my satisfaction which was relieving how knowledgeable they were, I felt we were in good hands at this point.
We wanted the problem solved as fast and effective as possible so we chose the heat treatment option. Some people think it is expensive but I thought it was a very fair and competitively priced. Trust me I research everything and found their prices in the ballpark and lower than most of the other local companies.
So I wanted to wait a few months to make sure we didn’t have a reoccurring problem before I wrote this review and I’m very pleased to say we have not had one single bite since Matt and his team treated our home and gave us peace of mind to sleep comfortably in our bed again. They surpassed my expectations and I couldn’t recommend this company enough!

Matt is really awesome. We had a bed bug issue a few years ago and I had called a few companies… some that did the chemical steam and others that used heat. I had trouble trusting the companies because they only offered one service. I live in a town house with connecting walls. What is great is that Matt offers both services so was able to tell me what was best for my situation. Because I have connecting walls Matt told me that heat would not work cause the bugs would escape through the walls to my neighbor’s. I really felt confident and trusted his expertise. My husband travels a lot for work and just last week I was waking up with bites so was scared the bugs came back. He came back free of charge to see if they was an issue. He also checked my mom’s house at the shore cause we had been there and treated her house as well. Thankfully, we did not have an issue again. If anyone has a bed bug issue Matt really is great and can be trusted. He won’t just tell you, you have an issue like I’ve heard a lot of exterminators may do.

Mice. Why did it have to be mice?
Well, it was, and Prodigy took care of them. It took four tries, because the mice were persistent, but each time the folks form Prodigy came without delay and without complaint, and tried new and different techniques until the trick was done.

I wanted to write an even more current review because Matt is so great! I would almost go so far as saying I wished I needed Prodigy’s services more often; that is how great Matt is to work with! I recently thought I might have an issue when I woke up after sleeping at a hotel with bites on my legs. I called Matt and he made time for me right away, like within a day of my call to him. He is RIDICULOUSLY busy (which kind of makes me never want to leave the house again) but he came by to steam all my luggage and put my mind at ease right away. If you are even just concerned there might be an issue, I would call him immediately. I slept so much better last night knowing he took care of all my stuff. I would recommend Matt and Prodigy to everyone in the city area!

Their price for bed bug extermination is expensive but they totally did the job. They were easy to work with on setting everything up. If you have bed bugs and you don’t want to worry about them anymore, use Prodigy.

With the heat this summer, I began seeing palmetto (!) bugs, about one a week. Goo. Those things are huge and very unsettling. Prodigy came out, assessed the situation, and sprayed. They also came out a second time to check and respray, just in case. I am now roach-​free and couldn’t be happier about it. The staff at Prodigy are super friendly as well and worked with my annoying scheduling conflicts to make sure they could come out when I was available. Thanks so much to the whole crew at Prodigy!

This review is months late because I’ve since moved from Philadelphia, but randomly out of nowhere, I had experienced a HORRIBLE German roach infestation in my apartment. They were literally everywhere! All over the bathroom, kitchen counters and cabinets, living room, EVERYWHERE. My roommate and I thought we’d try boric acid but that didn’t work not one bit. So I found prodigy through Unilocal and they were there the next morning. I told them I had a cat and was worried whatever they’ll spray could be poisonous to her but they assured me I could keep her in the apartment with no harm. Literally the VERY next day, there were dead roaches everywhere! Within a week, they were all dead and I had to sweep everyday to clean them up. There were piles of them! On top of that, they came out 2 weeks later no make sure they were all gone and spray again to make sure they STAY gone. I was so happy and am BEYOND satisfied with the service that prodigy provided. Whatever your pest problems are, call PRODIGY!

I discovered a dead bed bug on my box spring and I proceeded to freak out. I came to Unilocal for help and I started reading reviews for different Pest Control companies. Prodigy stood out with the best reviews and they spoke highly of Sabrina. I was still wary because I knew I was dealing with a big problem. I called Prodigy and surprise Sabrina was a real person. She was as good as the other reviews said. She got Quincy out to my house and he confirmed my bed bug problem. I was concerned about the price of the treatment. I called another PC company and they were wishy washy about the possible results. I called Sabrina back and opted for the heat treatment. She walked me through everything and she was available to answer all of my questions in a timely fashion. I texted her at 5:58 pm and she responded at 5:58 pm. I sent her an email in the middle of the night freaking out because I thought I had brought bed bugs to my parents home and she responded at 7 am. They did a free inspection of my parents home and found nothing. Prodigy was so professional and punctual. Everyone that I dealt with at Prodigy was kind and understanding about my situation. I can not thank them enough. Whatever pests you are dealing with I would highly recommend Prodigy based on their professionalism and thoroughness.

I unfortunately live in a home attached to a neighbor with bed bugs. Prodigy has gone above and beyond with dealing with my recent bed bug problem. Sabrina was very helpful on the phone and very efficient. I was able to have my home treated within a few days of calling. After the initial heat treatment I still was finding live bugs and being bit at night. They came back a few days later and sprayed and inspected and after confirming we decided on another heat treatment. After a second treatment I still was having problems. They offered to inspect my neighbors house for free and treat any connecting spaces for free. They sprayed multiple times and were very good with following up. I would text Matt, the owner at all times of the day/​night with any issues and he always assured me the problem would be handled and would see it to the end. He was always great at getting back to me and responding in a timely manner. Even after the warranty was expired, they still treated no matter what. I have been bed bug free for over a month now and know I can count on them to keep it that way. Great company and the best customer service!!! I’ll definitely use them with (hopefully no more) any future pest problems!!!

Extremely helpful, professional and courteous. They eradicated my beg bug issue 6 days after I called them.
They returned twice after the treatment upon request and did additional dust/​steam treatments. I was feeling «creep-​crawly» itchy and thought I had bites. Of course it was all in my head — PTSD (bedbugs are a traumatic experience!) one of the return visits was after the guarantee/​warranty period, they didn’t even mention this and were there the next day with no issues at all.

At a time when I felt so exhausted, beaten down and entirely overwhelmed, Prodigy exemplified the complete opposite of all of these emotions. Having bed bugs in my apartment was terrifying and overwhelming but the second I spoke to Matt on the phone he made me feel better. Aside from being experts and using the most effective treatments available those guys had hands down the best customer service I could have asked for. They were prompt and kind, answered all of my questions and when I found out that the entire building was infested (after I paid to have my unit treated) my landlord paid to have them treat the unit below me and they re-​treated my unit for free. Not because they had to but because they’re genuinely good guys and they care about doing the job right. Weeks later Matt reached out again just to make sure everything was still ok, totally above and beyond. I would and have recommended them to anyone who I know needs extermination services. They are the best. Don’t even call anyone else.

They had us do our homework to try to identify the specific bug that was causing our bites– they didn’t just come in and spray without figuring out what was causing the problem. Last winter after my windows and doors were replaced I noticed that some mice had moved into my now warm house! I tried getting rid of them myself but it seemed as though the more I caught, more would turn up. Since Prodigy did their last service I have not seen any mice and they did such a good job I recommended them to my clients and coworkers who also had very positive experiences with them! I’m a property manager and one of my tenants suspected they had bed bugs. Of course I want to take care of this asap before they spread to other apartments. I called prodigy and spoke with Sabrina, the bedbug specialist. She was SO comforting and reassuring AND knowledgeable about bed bugs. She spent a while with me on the phone asking questions and giving tips for a visual inspection. She sent someone within a few days to do a professional inspection and found a small area near the bed with bed bugs and droppings (ewww!). We set up a heat treatment ASAP and have not found any bugs since (its been about a month — Ill keep you posted). Phew! It was pricey, (and seems to be pricey with every pest control company) but so worth it! From what I’ve heard, the heat treatment is the best way to eradicate bed bugs AND their eggs. They heated the whole apartment to 140 degrees!
What an unnerving experience for my tenants. They are now put at ease and so am I. We were all itchy thinking about it!
I appreciate all of the phone support Sabrina gave me and my tenant (we called a bunch of times) and the thorough heat treatment.
I would call these guys in a heart beat if we ever had an issue like this again. My fingers and toes are crossed that we don’t ever have to!

Matt and everyone at Prodigy Pest Solutions are the hope, sunshine and comfort in a horrible cloudy miserable anxiety-​provoking bed bug infested world.
Last year, my roommate and I had a bed bug problem in our apartment and I basically lost my mind (stay away from the internet message boards, you guys). Matt was absolutely wonderful. From the very first phone call, unlike the other exterminators I’d talked to, they were so comforting, warm and kind. Sabrina (Sabina?) gave me all the information I needed, answered all my questions (and there were a lot) and we scheduled for the team to come and heat/​chemically treat our apartment.
Matt and his team showed up right on time, warned us that it would look a little crazy after treatment (your stuff gets moved all around so they can kill every little devil), answered my plethora of anxious questions («Will you be able to kill them? Do I need a new mattress? Will I survive this? Are you SURE?») and did their thing. After one treatment, the bugs were gone.
Not only did they get rid of the bugs BUT Matt was incredibly responsive (And still is!) I was pretty PTSD-​y re: the bugs and I still send pictures of little bugs that are hanging out in my apartment to Matt to see if I need to be concerned and he gets back to me super quickly and so far, we’re bug free. I recommend Matt and his team to everyone I meet. They are wonderful good people who know their stuff and care for their clients. I wouldn’t use any other exterminator in ANY city.

I want to hug everyone that works at Prodigy.
Last November I found what I believed to be a bed bug infestation. I hired an exterminator to do chemical treatment. Unfortunately, this exterminator was not knowledgable enough to tell us what Prodigy figured out in 5 minutes. We went through the expensive chemical treatment with the other guys and it ended up being pointless.
I was truly taken care of from the first phone conversation I had with Sabrina to the last conversation I had with the dude who did my inspection.
As many know, the psychological and physical effects of bed bugs are powerful to say the least. It ruins your home and it leaves you feeling like a deranged leper. These guys listened to every word I had to say and did more than I could’ve asked for from anybody for any service. Period. Even after it was clear that I didn’t have bed bugs and wouldn’t be paying them anything, Sabrina still took the time to explain to me how to easily get rid of the bugs I did have without paying them to do it.
These people are honest and they have given me the peace of mind I feared I’d never have. Cannot say that enough.
