One of two food shops that doesn’t have any people ordering. I decided to go anyway and I’m glad I did. The best food in this mall in my opinion. Meat are soft, deserts a great. Not too sweet.

So so so good! Worth every penny. The chicken tikka masala is phenomenal. The only critique I have is that the samosa(2 in an order) are over priced. They taste amazing but either make the order larger or reduce the price :/ I recommend trying the raita(it’s like a yogurt cucumber sauce) i always get some on the side. Perfection!

My wife and I love their food here! The people are friendly. The saag panam, chicken tikka, and yellow rice is our favorite combo to order. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is a lack of variety, but at the same time, what they do have to pick from is delicious, and they give it in generous portions.

OMG this place is amazing! For fast food, Indian style, this is the place to go! My friend and I stopped by the food court at the mall scoping for food and he immediately stopped by this place. He ended up having a sample, and after saying it was totally delicious I figured I would at least try their veggie curry. Now, I’m not a huge curry or Indian food kind of gal, as I’m not a fan of the spices but I, by far, decided on this place after trying their veggie curry. I tried asking the guy if they had green curry because that’s something I know that I like but he didn’t understand. After trying the yellow rice and veggie curry, I opted for the curry bowl which for $ 6 isn’t bad and comes with my fave, Naan Bread. I ended up also getting a vegetable samosa which I didn’t actually like. The filling tasted like mashed potatoes and there was a very strong spice I couldn’t quite pinpoint which didn’t have me convinced… Could also be, that I was spoiled after trying some samosas at a bar before and these just weren’t as good! All that aside, my friend ate, well tried just about everything. We ended up eating so much & we’re so stoked, we both contemplated eating more, but our bellies couldn’t hang lol. Well laid out. Who knew? At a food court.

Great addition to the food court. I like that they have several vegetarian options. Everything that I have tried has been wonderful… flavorful, cooked well, hot, fresh and good portion size. I’m looking forward to my next excuse to eat there.

Curry bowl comes with rice, naan, and curry. Great volume and taste really really good! I prefer getting my Indian food at this food court than at a regular Indian restaurant. It is way cheaper and the quality is great. You gotta try Mango Lassi!!! They are sooooo delicious!!!

Tandoori Spice has been a nice addition to the food court in the mall. There’s a few vegetarian options that are available, which is awesome. The naan bread is delicious! There is generally a bit of wait time for your food once you’ve ordered, but they remember who you are and found me in the food court and delivered it over to me. You get a lot of food for what you pay for!

Disappointed. Admittedly I came for an early lunch(around 11am) but it just seemed like they weren’t ready for lunch service at that time. As they dished up my combo they gave me white rice, they didn’t have any of their yellow rice ready. I chose a veggie korma and a Chicken Tikka Masala. In brief, this was a very bland version of Indian Food. I do understand that they have to tone it down because it’s in a shopping mall, but this was pretty weak. The Veggie Korma was flavorless and I suspect it may have been leftover from the previous night, or just watered down. Tikka Masala was good, but was dropkicked by that bland white rice. The Naan bread was cold. Get this, I came back to the food court after some shopping and I noticed a group people eating plates of Tandoori Spice Indian Food. Of course they had vibrant yellow rice and the Naan bread just looked fresh from the Tandoori oven. Hmm, if only Tandoori Spice was ready to go at 11am it could have been a completely different experience for me. Oh well. — Don’t come here early

This is a great new addition to the boring Food Court at the Westfield North County Mall. They are friendly and not as pushy as the Thai place that was previously in this spot. I’ve tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Cauliflower and Potato Chef’s dish. The Chicken Tikka Masala was super tasty with lots of flavor. The most amazing part of this dish was that every piece of chicken breast in there was tender and was good quality chicken breast. Trimmed well, no bad pieces, no fat, no gristle. That is getting harder and harder to find nowadays. I also enjoyed the Chef’s dish too. I did try the Channa Masala and it wasn’t as tasty as I’m used to. The Naan was good. Most of the dishes seemed pretty authentic. My friend and I both thought the food here was better than the food at the Royal India. Yes, and it’s in the Food Court! They also have Gulab Jamun, the Indian dessert. They’re like wet donuts. Haha. So, now I hope that they stay consistent in their quality and flavors. And most importantly… if they stay clean in their food handling practices, they should be around for a long time.

This restaurant was ok initially. Now started using left over food and warming. They should avoid touching food with hands, use gloves. Got sick with stomach pain yesterday. I definitely wont go there again.

I’ve never had Indian food that truly tickled my fancy and after this place I’m obsessed! I wasn’t expecting much because it is in a mall food court but every time I walked by the food court the smell alone made my mouth water. The service was great and the food was out of this world.

Meh… Foodcourt food. Lacked flavor. I tried the veggie combo with pulav and nan. My nan was ok. I guess they use color to distinguish the pulav from white rice cause it tasted just like white rice but was yellow in color. The veggie curries, saag paneer n mixed veg curry were not bad, mild but not bad. I also tried gulab jamun n they were TOUGH. Among the worst I’ve had so far. The mango lassi was not balanced. Too much mango pulp for the yogurt used. My husband tried the lamb kabob. Since he wanted it spicy they just doused it in sriracha. The meat didnt seem like it was seasoned. The lady at the front desk was grumpy. So overall… Not a good experience but I dont know if one can expect more at a foodcourt.

Very good Indian for a fast food style. Filling portions though I wish they were more generous with the curry. Great now I’m torn between Mongolian and Indian. +1 for being actual Indian family working it.

Omg im writing this review just after finished an awesome plate of veggie curry, chicken curry, yellow rice and garlic and regular nan yes i can put in DOWN! Food was delicious and i know its made from cause i was nosey enough to ask!!! They showed me all their spices, tons of fresh garlic that gets minced every day, fresh ginger they get loads and this whole time i thought they would use granulated or powdered stuff! Behind the counter was a hot bubbling pot of just made curry i could see the big chops of potatoes floating and the surface it smelled so good and when i was them stir it omg it was so thick and loaded with goodies not all watered down. Omg and he told me how he makes the one spice i dont know if im saying it right gama masala or something but omg ive tried making it(fail) he told me how they make it from scratch i was like so tempted to ask for a jar! Ohh and then the made fresh nan bread rubbed with chopped chunks of garlic omg sooo cool!!! For dessert i got the mango yogurt drink and if you have ever had home made yogurt you know this is what is in there! That was awesome cause my mom stopped making homemade vietnamese yogurt and now i know where to get my fix! This place is really a jewel at North County and it crazy to see such quality in a food court!!! Lucky for me they have like 5 other restaurants in san diego, 2 are close to my house I’m Point Loma and Hillcrest they all start will the word Tandoori so ill be on the hunt for them :) hope you guys try this out its a family business as well, sons who cook, fathers who cook they all own and run their places i think its awesome!!!

THANKYOU, TOWHOEVEROWNSTHISPLACE! Oh. My. Goodness. So, so good! This is legit Indian food! YASSSSSSSS! It’s served like how Panda Express serves their food, but unlike Panda Express(which serves ‘Americanized’ Chinese food), this place is totally legit. Ordered the tikka masala with yellow(saffron) rice, one lamb and one vegetable samosa, and a mango lassi. EVERYTHINGWASONPOINT. They had a great selection of curries — vegetarian, meat, mushrooms, potatoes. They were happy to let me sample them. They introduced the chef, he seemed proud… as he should be. It seriously didn’t taste like fast food. They gave me an extra piece of naan for my little one. Very nice, and friendly service. I was going to take some pics of the counter and food, but they were talking to me, so it would’ve been awkward. I’ll try next time I go, since I know there’ll be a next time. I already called my sisters and told them to go try it out. I’ll come to the mall just to buy food here.
