I like Papyrus brand and anything paper and stationary related. I still like to send and received pen and ink written cards and letters, so this place is a must visit for me every time that I am at the North County mall. I always end up getting some cards of gifts related to the Eiffel tower, and seems that American public really like that icon as is the monument you can see the most in all these nice birthday cards, get well, good wishes and agendas, calendars and coffee mugs. Prices are not as cheap as in other stores, but as is not a big store, you won’t feel overwhelmed and you can spend a long time touching, trying and smelling everything there.

I was without the boy tonight, so I decided to go to the mall to do a little secret birthday shopping for him. I’m a big fan of a perfectly wrapped present, so I stopped in here to get some nice paper and ribbon. The sales clerk was very sweet, and possibly a bit starved for conversation since the store was empty, but she spoke very candidly and was pleasant. She offered her help, but wasn’t pushy.

This location was A-OK. It is a smaller and more upscale version of a Hallmark. It is a decent size store with a good amount of greeting cards, blank cards, stationary sets and small novelty items. Their prices are on the higher end. I was thinking about buying a note pad set until I found out it was $ 14! When I first walked in, the clerk seemed aloof. She was pleasant but it was the first time I had to strike up a conversation. After a few questions, she seemed more relaxed. It is a good place to check out if you are looking for something beyond the day-to-day Hallmark card.
