From day one the Auto fill has leaked. We have had a leak specialist narrow it down to the auto fill. Sundancer came to fix it but never actually fixed it we ended up shutting off the auto fill. The heater for the pool has to have the gas shut off because when it rains the heater turns itself on. Now the part that connects to the motor squirts out water when the pool turns on. And they left a long pipe sticking out of the ground right in front of the filter which makes it very difficult to open the filter when we need to clean it. If this pipe breaks water pours out from the pool!

We had Robbie & Co. put a pool in for us last Spring 15′. They did an outstanding job in all aspects. Planning and execution pretty much went flawless. We were on a bit of a budget but you can’t tell it by the quality or the final result. Well done Sundancer!

Let me start by saying, we could not have made a better choice when selecting Sundancer Pools to partner with to make our backyard a beautiful escape! Robby Williams, the President of the company and our Project Manager, was wonderful at understanding our vision, communicating with us with each step of the way and worked with us to ensure we were 100% satisfied with the final outcome.
While we committed to putting in a pool over a year ago, we were unable to pull the trigger until now. Sundancer Pools was flexible — allowing us to delay the demo with minimal changes to the initial contract and did all they could to get the ball rolling quickly once we were ready to go. In early to mid-​January, we began the backyard demo and, as of 2 weeks ago, we’ve been taking cold, but rewarding, dips in the pool. That’s right, a 6 week implementation for backyard perfection!
Sundancer’s crew not only worked quickly, but were respectful and attentive to the way in which we wanted the pool to look. Each team worked hard every day and were willing to make changes without complaint based on our vision, even if it took them two or three times to get it right. Even after the pool is complete, Robby continues to work with us to ensure everything is working perfectly and tying up any loose-​ends. Anyone working with this company would know customer service, along with creating your backyard dream, is first on their list!
In addition to great quality and customer service, Robby was as cost conscious as we were and did everything he could to ensure significant extra costs were not incurred. In the end, we got all that we wanted and expected and then some.

Sundancer designed and installed an incredible pool/​bbq area/​fire pit! Some residual problems came up, however, Robby and Sundancer were incredibly responsive. Our problems were fixed within a week! Robby communicated ever step of the way. Incredible customer service.

We recently remodeled our pool with Sundancer Pools and could not be happier with both the process and the outcome. Working with Sundancer was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I am in the Architecture & Design field and am not easily won over by anybody in the construction trade. From the initial onsite meeting with the Project Mgr., Marc Corell, we were so impressed. He really understood the design style we were going for and recommended great products to achieve that look within the budget we were working with. We had received an initial quote from the beginning and were pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we made small changes here and there throughout the process we were never nickeled and dimed for them. Sundancer was extremely fair and I found the prices they quoted us were even better at times then what my own trade resources could deliver for us.
Each crew that showed up was amazing to work with. Who would have thought you could enjoy demolition? We did, because the crew was so nice and took great pride in making sure we were comfortable with the extreme changes taking place in our yard. The concrete finishers were fantastic, the tile installers amazing, and the plaster installers-​all total perfectionists and a joy to have show up to our house every day. There was one small design detail in the end that we just weren’t thrilled with and Marc worked with out hesitation to get it right until we were completely 100% satisfied.
We can’t say enough good things about having Marc as our Project Mgr. When it came time to select the color finish for our stucco he was able to show us to two other Clients homes to see the different finishes in person. This was very valuable to us as the pool colors you see online are not a true indication of the outcome at all. We ended up being able to choose the finish that was exactly right for us because of these visits. And meeting those other happy Clients only indicated that we had again, made the right choice to work with Sundancer Pools. Marc was also able to deliver our pool to us within the promised time frame despite our adding in extra work here and there. He was always willing to help us understand the process at every turn and was an absolute joy to work with. He has great taste and style and clearly is a talented designer. We highly recommend working with Sundancer Pools on your new pool design or remodel!

Beyond Happy! We spent several years going back and forth about a pool. We met with at least 6 builders but once we met Marc @ Sundancer we knew we found what we were looking for. As a family that is new to the pool world, Marc patiently answered every question (sometimes repeatedly). Marc stayed with us through the entire process… never left us hanging. As for the crew, I seriously feel like they are family. What a great bunch of guys. If we were to ever build another pool, I would immediately call these guys up.

Marc was excellent throughout the entire process. He was very responsive and kept us up to date on each project. I would highly recommend Sundancer Pools. Robbie and Marc made my wife and I feel comfortable from our initial meeting. They were very upfront with their quote and there were NO surprises.

We hired Sundancer Pools about 5 years ago. Met with Jay Zier which seemed like an honest person. We checked their references and decided to hire them for the job. It was a big job in excess of $ 150,000 and located in Rancho Santa Fe. We’ve had nothing but problems with them. They will not stand behind their work. Jay said he would like to take care of all the problems but they have no money and his father in law who owns the company has been caught with workmans comp fraud. I would like to file a lawsuit but Jay said they will probably file bankruptcy. Now Jay says he has left the company but now I’m left with major expensive problems. So far it has costs me in excess of $ 25,000 to fix their mistakes from poor workmanship and costs continue. I have given both Jay, his Father in Law and his Brothers-​In-​Law to make this situation right. They won’t even return a phone call. I warn everybody to avoid doing business with this company and Jay Zier. I have plenty of pictures and documentation to support these facts.

I can’t recommend Sundancer highly enough. Marc is an exceptionally responsive project manager, going out of his way time and time again to surpass our expectations. From ideas and planning to setting realistic expectations and meeting our budget this a terrific company to work with. We’re ready for summer exactly as we hoped to be!

From Day 1 our contractor Marc was tuned in to our ideas, needs & timeline! He was always there on a DIME:) He arrived on time and always with a smile! He returned texts & phone calls in a very timely fashion and was a true JOY to work with.
His teams of professionals were also outstanding– from the guys who dug the HUGE hole, to the tilers and finally the concrete & clean up crew– we are TRULY thrilled with our amazing new pool but mostly with Marc, Robby and the whole Sundancer Family. Robby was able to connect with my husband’s vision for the pool and they made it a reality. We met with so many pool builders, I can’t even give you a number. So many didn’t know how to do what we wanted done and so many we didn’t trust. There were some hiccups with building and after (as expected) and they have fixed everything.
We continue to refer our friends to Sundancer and if we need another pool at another house in the future, we would use them again without a doubt.

If you are looking to improve your property with a custom pool look no further than Sundancer Pools. Robby was great to work with, he walked us through every aspect of the build and answered all the questions we had (and I had a lot). We have had friends that had horrible experiences building there pools, when we told them outs was built in 9 weeks they were blown away. On top of providing a great service their prices are very competitive. I can’t wait to finish the landscape to complete my backyard paradise. If there were 10 stars I would give this company all 10. We had pretty much decided on another pool contractor until a neighbor provided us a glowing recommendation of Sundancer Pools. We decided it wouldn’t hurt to at least give Sundancer a call and see what they had to offer, especially since Sundancer had constructed multiple pools in our neighborhood. Robby from Sundancer was at our house a few mornings later. Unlike other contractors we interviewed, Robby really listened to what we wanted before talking to us about options. We were quite impressed when only a few days later a complete proposal including detailed drawings was emailed to us. Another great surprise was the quote from Sundancer was considerably less than the quote provided by the other contractor we had planned on using. The detailed design proposal, quote and neighborhood recommendations made the decision to pick Sundancer to build our pool an easy one! A few months later the project was off and running. Each phase went smoothly with no gaps. Robby was great at answering our questions and was able to respond to any concern literally within minutes. I am sure we were not the only client of Sundancer at the time of our pool build, but we felt we had the full undivided attention of the company! Robby was flexible to changes we made during the process and even presented us with cost saving options along the way. We noticed that everyone who worked on the project took pride in their work and demonstrated experience and professionalism. We went from having a backyard of dying grass and a faded patio to having an inviting backyard oasis! With the exception of upgrades that we chose to make along the way, the project stayed on budget. Customer service is critical to me when making a purchase, especially for something as large as a backyard pool, and the service we received from Robby and the Sundancer staff was better than what we had hoped for. I would recommend this company to anyone planning a pool project.

Sundancer was a fantastic company to work with on our pool and landscaping project. Robby was incredibly responsive and his insight was truly a blessing on getting this project completed BEYOND my expectations. Staying within budget, providing a quality product, and being flexible and responsive to our changing needs as the project evolved are the exact qualities that anyone would value in a contractor. This is our 2^nd pool project and we will only contact Sundancer for all of our pool needs going forward. I was thoroughly impressed with Sundancer Pools for our new pool construction. I liked the fact that they took care of the entire project from start to finish, from pool to surrounding landscape and hardscape. It was nice to have one point of contact for everything. I worked with Jay, who was extremely responsive, even after our bills were paid and the project is complete, he returns my phone calls in a very timely manner. Their entire crew is very nice, respectful and clean. Jay helped me make great cost saving decisions as well and it was nice to have someone with experience guiding the process. They are extremely reliable and very reasonable and great to work with. And the result was a fantastic pool that we love and have enjoyed every day since it was completed. Everybody has commented on how well it turned out and we are very happy with it. I would definitely recommend Sundancer.

The plan he developed for our back yard was just what we wanted and within our budget. He did not oversell (thank you!) and provided the best options for our family. I recently had a complete remodel performed of my pool. The original was built in 2007, and we began having issues with plaster cracking, etc. After much research, my wife and I chose Sundancer pools. I was referred to them by a colleague at work who was delighted with her new pool… Indeed, they did an awesome job!
The first thing that struck us is that Sundancer pools is a small, locally owned business, run by Mr. Dave Williams for several decades. We dealt primarily with his Dave’s son Robby. Robby is a phenomenal stand up person. He is a family man and also a local firefighter — exactly the type of small business owner I want to support! Despite the «small business» label that can have negative connotations for price and timeliness of work, Sundancer’s work was competitively priced, of high quality, and completed on time!
As a physician, I demand excellence of myself and those with whom I work… consequently, I am in the top 5^th percentile of «picky customer». Robby and Sundancer delivered! Throughout the project, there were multiple evening phone calls to Robby, after my workday, getting updates about the project. Robby was consistently polite, professional, and thorough no matter what time of the day it was! Also, I cannot say enough about his stone craftsmen… what they were able to do with a slab of stone is amazing! The onsite workers were extremely professional; the worksite was cleaned at the end of each work day and the workers went about their business dilligently and professionally.
Robby epitomizes customer service and ensures complete satisfaction. His company is run in an ethical, customer oriented manner. I knew this immediately when he told me that it is Sundancer’s policy to accept NO payment until the work is well underway. Also, during the project, my wife and I chose some ceramic accent pots (3 ft tall, 200 pounds each) for the project. We did not have the capacity to transport these from the store in Escondido, so Robby stepped up and transported them for us… at 6pm, on the way to taking his family to dinner! I was astounded at this level of customer service!
In summary, Sundancer pools delivered a high quality pool remodel which was competitively priced, of the highest quality, and delivered on time. This company has restored my faith in the «small company»…it is no wonder that this company has been around for close to half a decade. I would recommend them without reservation! We recently put in a pool with Sundancer Pools and had a great experience. We had read and heard horror stories about shady or inadequate pool builders and took months to research builders in the area. We were impressed with Jim Duncan and Sundancer from the beginning and pleasantly surprised when the pricing came in competitive with very small builders. Jim helped us go through his detailed proposal and find areas where we could cut costs without compromising elements that we highly valued. He was always very responsive to questions and never put any pressure on us. We wound up with a beautiful pool that we are thoroughly enjoying. Renaldo, who did all of the stone work around the pool, was phenomenal. During his phase of the project, he was in our yard working from sun-​up until after dark daily. He takes great pride in his skill and does beautiful work. Sundancer was on budget and on time and we have no complaints. We can’t imagine going wrong with Sundacer.
