Love this shop! So many things to look at and buy! The salespeople were attentive but not, too. Completely understood my need to look at EVERYTHING before making a purchase. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in the area.

This store has a truly spectacular selection of artisan jewelry. I was particularly nervous to shop for my new mother-​in-​law and her sister, but they both ADORED the pieces I found for them here and wear them all the time. And it’s not just the jewelry that’s great. If you need a gift, from funny to inspirational to hand crafted, you will find something at Lotus Butterfly to suit any recipient. Shop local!

This is such a lovely boutique. They have such unique knick-​nacks and gifts for anyone you might be searching for a present or a «just because» gift for yoursef! It’s located right next to Trader Joes in a cute little shopping center. I usually go into the boutique then grab a few things for dinner right after! This isn’t a chain store, it’s a small local business in Escondido which explains the customer service also being so fantastic. You won’t be finding too many «trendy» items as you will items that are unique and special. I must also add, their holiday selections (any holiday) are perfect for accenting your home or adding a few decorations for an office party. I personally recommend the jewelry. Most (not sure if all) is hand-​crafted! If you don’t want to get a «run-​of-​the-​mill» item for that birthday or your significant other — this is the boutique for you!
I should also mention they have an online website if you aren’t able to make it in!

If I would have known what a horrible person this owner is I would have never shopped here to begin with. I always wondered why they had such turn around here… now I know why. Don’t shop here. They may have some cute things — but it’s not worth putting money in the pocket of the mean awful lady that owns he place. I simply wanted to exchange a holiday gift and I was chewed out and talked down to like I have never experienced in a store before. We had been shopping here for years — now never again.
The reply to this review is telling. Customer service is something to have have pride in if you are a local business not something you justify with so called policy. I had been a loyal customer here for years — yet this is the first time I met or had any exchange with the owner. If you pride yourself in customer service, it’s good to, oh I don’t know, get to know your customers.
I had the gift (a bag) in my possession for less than 24 hours, yet got a lecture and talked down to from the shop owner. Just say sorry we can’t exchange this. — perfectly unused, tag still on, bag that is lovely, just understandably not you style, instead of treating me like a cheat and as if I’m trying to pull one over on you. I told you just tell me no, I was accepting of that. I will not accept poor treatment when I have done nothing wrong. I was surprised, that was all. You left me in tears and said you weren’t going to «let me ruin your day» as you stormed cowardly to the back room. I felt like I was dealing with a completely mean and unreasonable person and I was in shock. You’re right your «boutique» isn’t Target — Target actually has something called customer service and treats people with dignity and respect. 15 years isn’t forever & Falling will hurt if/​when you have no one to catch you.
…I preferred not to tolerate your condescension towards me. Sticking up for one’s self is not arguing.
Again, I had no idea when this gift was purchased for me as I had just opened it yesterday for Christmas. I had it for less than a day.

I am so disappointed to write this review, not what I would want to say about a small, local business… but I have a duty to be honest.
Let’s start with the good.
The store has a good location, right next to Trader Joe’s. Easy to find.
The store has beautiful merchandise. There is a really nice variety of gifts. Since my visit was during the holiday season they had a cute assortment of different ornaments and holiday jewelry. They had really nice host tools. I addition they had a huge array of gifts, this store would be perfect for a holiday visit. The store would have passed a white glove test.
I wanted to love this store, and make no mistake, i’d like to go back sometime. But the customer service was terrible. I was the only person in the store. There were three sales associates at the counter, talking to each other. After wandering around the store, looking around I realized that they had not said a word to me. They didn’t ask if they could help me or even hello I don’t think. It really made me sad because a small business cannot just let people walk in and out without some kind of customer service.
Give it a go, the store is a great spot. I hope the service will improve.

As a loyal customer of this store, it breaks my heart to write this review.
I drove up to Escondido today just to go to this store. As I was walking through the front door, I was immediately told I could not enter the store because strollers were not allowed. I can’t understand why they would have such a rule. I image 90% of their customers are women, with a large percentage of those as mothers.
If you’re wondering why I didn’t just carry my baby in, and leave the stroller outside, my baby was asleep. Which would have been a great time for me to shop.
I left. And unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

This is my favorite local and independent gift store to pick up something special for the people in my life.

I Have been so disappointed with customer service at the Escondido store the last couple of times I’ve been there. I bought my daughter a Willow Tree mother/​daughter angel for her 50^th birthday. When she opened the gift, the mother angel’s head was severed. She was so disappointed and shocked that the head was cut off. I sincerely apologized for not checking it at the store before buying it. I trusted them to sell me a perfect piece.
When I brought it back to the store, the sales woman looked at me like I was lying to her. She made me feel like I was guilty of breaking it and then bringing it back, My neighbor was with me and also attested to what happened. Sales woman reluctantly and with a bad attitude got the display off the shelf, placed it in the box and gave it to me. She never apologized for selling me a broken item or even asked us to «come back!» I thanked her. My neighbor felt really bad the way we were treated.
At a later date I went to the store in Mira Mesa with my neighbor looking for a gift. One of the sales girls recognized us and made it a point to be unfriendly. My neighbor bought 2 stuffed animals, and when we got home, she realized that she did not have her credit card. I asked her to look for the receipt and call the store. When she looked in the bag for the receipt, her credit card was dumped in there along with the receipt..
My neighbor and I (and our families) will never shop there again!!! Those people are in bad need of a Customer Service class!!! Or they need to hire nice happy people. That store will not stay open long.

I LOVE this little shop! Well it isn’t actually a «little» shop but I get that small shop feeling from the warm and friendly staff every time I pop in to what goodies they have! I have been a loyal shopper since the shop first opened and I am never disappointed. So many lovely things to choose from… jewelry, cards, gift wrap and great stocking stuffers for kiddos. It is a lovely spot to wander around on a lunch break or a Sunday afternoon. Check it out… you wont be disappointed!

Came in here by chance with my fiancée the other day and was taken away.
This is a little craft shop for all your holistic wants, crafts and décor.
We were politely greeted by an angelic voice who was very down-​to-​earth in her demeanor. She was never pushy and her pleasant approach allowed us to peruse the store and even loose track of time! The music selection they had playing made for the perfect ambiance and set the mood.
We were in there for over an hour taking in the décor and all the items for sale.
There was incense and oils as part of an aromatherapy section. Then there was the clothing department with shirts, dresses and hats. My fiancée especially liked their «hippy bags» selection. There were various selections of holistic Buddhist crafts, as well as ‘new age’ theme items. But there was something for everyone in there really.
We were truly impressed with this store and we will be returning for more earrings and crafts. I recommend!

I moved out of the Escondido area so I hadn’t been to Heaven on Earth for some time. When ever I needed a unique gift leaning to the Earthy organic style, I went there and always found something I loved. Now, I stopped in the store at the end of January of this year (2014)because i wanted a unique gift for someone out of state and didn’t want to patronize the large franchises. I was able to find a tee, purse, coin purse, key chain, some cute kids tiny toys, an infinity scarf, a Baggallini (my best surprise and find) for me, and some really cute cards. So my long drive to the store was worth it. The store was smaller in regard to not carrying as many items as I remember however, there were plenty of great gifts, always wonderful cards, always cute packaging and wrap to purchase. oh and I bought some lotion with honey in it. loved that smell. The salesclerks approached me more than once to see if I needed any assistance. I am a senior woman. and I like to spend a long time choosing my gifts, and told the young lady who approached me. She was fine with that, and allowed me to bring my items to the counter as I found what I liked, Allowed me the courtesy to browse at my own slow pace, and remained as pleasant as could be. And ps. I am on a modest income and found the prices here as competitive as any other specialty gift store and a few even better. the infinity scarf I bought was more reasonable than a few of the large discount stores, and there was only one so I doubt I’ll see it around someone else’s neck. Personally, I love small specialty stores because they don’t have mass quantities of the same item, you find handcrafted items, unique items, and sometimes local crafted items. I will definitely go back. It won’t be as often because of the distance for me now, but it will be one of the first places I go to when looking for unique, earthy organic items, and those one of kind pieces. I give this cute store 5 stars!

Over priced but a cute selection of tchotkes and jewelry. It used to be nicer but lately it’s been getting a little junky and kind of clique-​y with some of the sales ladies and the owner making catty comments as customers walk around!
Unfortunately the customer service has become hit or miss and the owner, an older lady, has odd practices that just translate as petty and cheap. Customers are allowed only one piece of colored tissue paper per purchase, regardless of what or how much you buy. No gift boxes available at all, they just use bags with their names on it and… one piece of tissue paper, lol… I’d advise you to either explore one of the little shops in downtown Esco for something unique, or even Charming Charlie’s at the mall.
I’d like to see them stay open. It’s kind of a fun place. But the owner really needs an attitude adjustment.

When i need a thoughtful gift, this is my place of choice. They have something for everybody! Great quality merchandise but slightly high on the pricing scale.

Not just a religious store! They sell wonderful reasonably priced jewelry and an abundance of eclectic spiritual items from many different religions and faiths. The sales clerks are very helpful. Fun to shop or browse :)

An excellent gift and book store with a good selection of cards and a very beautiful assortment of jewelry. A tad on the expensive side, but the quality is excellent. I have shopped there a dozen or so times and have never had anything but the friendliest service… even when I was trying to return something. I’m glad this place is near me.

This is my favorite gift shop! If you are looking for a great selection of unique, tasteful and often very inspirational gift ideas… this is your place! I have purchased thank you gifts, birthday gifts, wedding gifts, and all sorts of neat things for the holidays. The selection varies through out the year and there is always something new. The staff is friendly and well informed… it has the feel of a «neighborhood» store where you are frequently greeted by name. Check it out the next time you need a gift or just a treat for yourself… you won’t be disappointed!

This store is nothing but overpriced junk that nobody needs sold by old hags with nothing better to do than judge their customers when they leave their horrible store. STAY AWAY!
Go to the Golden Spoon next door and pick up a gift card instead! =)
