We provide exceptional care for your pets in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while you are away, and can also administer medication as needed, including insulin. We also offer mid-​day potty breaks or walks for dogs while you work.

Communication is of utmost importance to us, so we provide you with a note detailing each visit. Our clients are encouraged to check in with us at any time for updates as well.

For your peace of mind, we are bonded and insured. As lifelong pet parents, we think of your pets as our extended family, and treat them with the loving care we give our own.

History

Established in 2005.

As the co-​owner of Ciao Meow, I decided to start this business to fulfill a lifelong dream of caring for animals. I noticed a need for mid-​day walks and potty breaks for dogs, coming home every day myself on my lunch breaks to let out our own dogs. Additionally, boarding (especially for cats) while the family is away can be stressful for the cats and can be costly as well. This provides a sensible and cost-​effective alternative, with the added bonus of giving one’s home a lived-​in look with papers and mail being collected, lights turned on and off, and curtains/​blinds opened and closed while you are away.

Although I had always wanted to work with animals, I decided early on that veterinary medicine was not for me. I have a Bachelor’s degree and my Paralegal Certificate, and I’ve worked in various fields prior to my decision to follow my heart, all of which helped me in developing this business. (These include sales, publications/​editing, teaching and administration, and the legal field.)

I feel very fortunate to have so many wonderful clients and pets to care for, and plan to continue to do so for years to come.
