History

Established in 1994.

George Yost, President and founder, was growing tired of not being able to serve his current customers a great cup of coffee for an affordable price. So he started up his own coffee roasting company. Things were going fine for a few years, but he still wasn’t getting the quality he wanted out of his coffee, so he decided to travel to Cameroon, Africa. From there he began working directly with over 100 African Coffee Farmers who grew coffee specifically for Alpine Roastery. By buying the coffee directly from the farmers, he was able to lower his customers price by increasing the quality. His mission is to constantly improve the quality of his coffee by not costing his customers any extra.

Business Owner

George was born in Great Bend, KS, but has lived in Colorado since 1979. He has owned many business in the Colorado area, constantly trying to contribute to the local economy. He has owned Alpine Roaster for almost 20 years, servicing 1000’s of Colorado companies. He has a wife and two children. His eldest, a son, also works for Alpine Roastery, hoping to one day run the company as successfully as George has for many years.
