History

Established in 1989.

In 1989 Intrawest Reprographics was purchased by Pete Grondorf as a copy shop/​mailing center. He evolved the business into a wholesale large volume printer.

In 1999, Intrawest transitioned to the rapidly expanding digital market, taking full advantage of working from files rather than hard copy originals.

2007 Intrawest changed its name to Denver Copy L.L.C.

2013 Denver Copy started a transition from ownership by Pete and was purchased by Sam Grondorf (his son) and Brandie Rome (Sam’s wife).

2014 Denver Print & Bind L.L.C. was formed out of Denver Copy and is now operating under that name.

Meet the Business Owner

Sam G.

Business Owner

Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Sam moved with his family and Dad, Pete, to Denver in 1990 soon after Pete bought Intrawest Reprographics. Sam was surrounded by the printing field growing up became interested in learning more.

In 2001, Sam joined the family print business. He began his growth into the pivotal team member he is today as only bindery help. As time went on he learned how to excel at all aspects production and even creating solutions for production constraints and digital anomalies. From tabs to complex digital set ups, there are no jobs that he can’t do.

Sam’s skills lead to a natural progression in 2012. He was promoted to Manager of Denver Copy. Pete seeing his retirement on the horizon and knowing Denver Copy is in good hands plans to explore other options. Sam will carry the Family Business into the future with his wife, Brandie and hope to have the good fortune of passing Denver Print and Bind onto their children.
