Best kids Dr. Around. He is awesome. Young and ambitious focus smart and very friendly and understanding what else can you ask for the good doctor especially with your kids. The office is usually very busy which is not always fun yet it is understanding when he is a very good doctor could bare had to wait ;)

I was originally referred to Dr. Toomari by my midwives. The Doctor and staff were able to take a newborn appointment right away. Dr. Toomari and his staff are very knowledgeable, patient, nice, helpful and gentle. Now I also take my 9 year old to him as well.
Dr. Toomari talks to my kids, not just me. I know it sounds weird, but it is important to me that my kids have just as much a voice in their healthcare as I do. I also want them to be confortable with him, not feel like just another person. He answers all my daughter’s questions and all my nervous ones too. His staff always seem organized and really nice. I called in with a poop question (you know you are a mom when that makes sense) and they got back to me right away.
I have been to both his locations, Encino and Van Nuys. Both are far for me, but I will make the drive for a good doctor. Tips: Encino — bring cash for parking (plan on $ 10 or so) otherwise you have to walk a ways for an ATM, Van Nuys — GPS can be wrong, so give your self extra time to find the office the first visit (but parking is free).

Dr Toomari was recommended by my sister who had an amazing experience with her 4 children. I just can’t say enough good things about him, he is very professional, thorough, patient, takes as much time to answer any questions or resolve any concerns. And his knowledge knows no bounds!
A month ago my baby got sick, I didn’t know if I should take her to emergency, I felt so bad to bother him on Saturday late night, I left him a voicemail and he returned my call within 15 min. He patiently explained me what to do and my baby felt better the day after.
I’m so thankful to have such an amazing pediatrician for my 3 months old baby. 5 stars really not enough!

Dr toomari was the pediatrician that was on call in the hospital, we made a follow up with him for a week later. At first i was hesitant because his office is far from my house, but its worth it. Hes calm has a good vibe, you can tell he cares about what he does. We were late to our first apptmnt but we were greeted nicely and seen very quickly. His staff was nice and helpful
He was very thorough and gentle when examining my son (which isnt easy with a fussy newborn) he made sure to answer my questions precisely. He didnt write off my concerns like some other doctors do and gave me complete information on any subject i brought up. I am comfortable putting my sons health in his hands. On top of that hes polite and personable. Im definately keeping him as my babys pediatrition.

Dr Toomari came highly recommended by my OB/​GYN when I was looking for a pediatrician during my third trimester (his child is also seeing Dr Toomari), and I’m very glad I took his recommendation. We have now seen him a few times and he has always been very informative, very thorough, very quick to spot even the smallest issue. He has always taken plenty of time to answer all of our questions in detail, and has always taken our opinion as parents into consideration (as opposed to other doctors who can be dismissive of parents because they don’t have a medical degree). Dr Toomari is on top of all the latest in his field and very good at what he does. He also has a great bedside manner with our baby boy. His office staff are also nice and helpful and I have never experienced any rudeness from them. He’s on staff both at Providence Tarzana and Valley Presbyterian hospitals, so worth considering as a pediatrician if you’re expecting and delivering in either of those hospitals.
There are two offices — one in Encino and one in Van Nuys, and Dr Toomari shares his office days and hours between the two locations. I’ve been to both and personally prefer the Encino location (nicer building, nicer office with an amazing view of the Valley from the rooms in the back, and better neighborhood). That being said, parking is free in Van Nuys (his office is located at a strip mall), whereas in Encino (office is located within a building with medical offices) you have to pay for valet parking and they only take cash. Both offices are very clean and neat though, so my recommendation for parents is to pick whatever location is most convenient for them or go with whatever office has availability for their preferred day/​time.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Dr Toomari to anyone looking for a great pediatrician in the SF Valley!

I just took my 2.5 year old son here for his first appointment with Dr Toomari and he is absolutely amazing! He was already recommending an x-​ray of my son’s adenoids and prescribing allergy medications, before I even got to tell him about my fiancé’s history of breathing issues and severe allergies. We only waited about 15 minutes for the appointment (which is NOTHING), but we would’ve happily waited longer for Dr Toomari! I’m so thankful that we have a great pediatrician for our son and he’s right down the street from our house! Doesn’t get much better than that!

Dr Toomari is such a caring, knowledgable pediatrician. He never rushes through an appointment, carefully answers all of my questions and has gladly answered two after hours phone calls when my concerns could not wait. He has cared for my son, a preemie born at 29 weeks, since he came home from the NICU, always remembers him during our appointments and has accommodated same day appointments to make sure he was healthy/​thriving! Lastly, his office staff is wonderful. Very friendly and on-​top of it! Our family is happy to have found Dr. Toomari!

I can honestly say I won the pediatrician lottery when I was referred to Dr. Toomari! I was one of those first time parents who had no idea how to go about finding a doctor, but luckily my OBGYN did and recommended him. From the day she was born (my daughter) he showed up at the hospital and introduced himself and made us (new parents) feel totally at ease. Don’t let his young appearance fool you, this doctor knows his stuff! Best part is that he makes me feel good about being an involved parent and even encourages questions. Great doctor, couldn’t have a asked for better!
My one advice is to show up on time for your appointment and you’ll be in and out in no time.

This is seriously the best pediatrician ever ! And I would know I have four children so I have seen many over the years and I have to say Dr Toomari is by far the best ! He’s been caring for my youngest since the day she was born and has always made me feel 100% confident and comfortable with her health I am the biggest worry wart and have had to call and see him a million times and never once has he’s ever rushed me or made me feel silly for any of my worries he’s always been very thorough and reassuring every time. I know no matter what my children will always have the best medical care with Dr Toomari as there doctor ! He’s is truly amazing! His whole staff gives you 100% with smiles on there face every time you visit. If your looking for the best care for your children this is definitely the doctor to go to.

Dr. Toomari is the best! He has been seeing my son since he was a couple days old and I have always felt very confident having my son in his care. He isn’t one of those «By the book» kind of Dr.‘s, he made me feel like I am doing things right by listening to what my baby wants and needs rather than trying to do everything perfect and everything you see in the books. He gives you a chance to ask questions, and is always very professional. I have had some issues with the girls at the front desk but that would never stop me from using him as my sons Dr. Thanks Dr. Toomari!

NEW PATIENTS — Two Boys ages 2 ½ and 4.
We called the Encino office to schedule an appointment so we assumed that we would be going to the Encino office, I received a courtesy call the day before reminding us of our son’s appt. and was informed that it would be at the Van Nuys office. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about going to the Van Nuys office based off of a bad experience I had with another Doctors office COMPLETELY UNRELATED to this practice. When we (My husband and two boys) walked into the office we were greeted with a beautiful, crisp clean environment. We were very impressed! The staff was AMAZING and smiling faces is always welcoming. Sandy at the front desk was so pleasant and helpful:). She informed us that Dr. Toomari was at the Encino office and we would be seeing the Nurse Practitioner and apologized that we were not informed of his location… I admit, I was a little bothered that we weren’t seeing Dr. Toomari, but all of my worries flew right out of the window once we met JENNIFER NUNEZ NP. Talk about a GREAT first impression. She introduced herself to us all and made sure to shake our hands. She spoke not only to us but to our sons, through their screams and tears Jennifer stayed cool and calm. She was so delicate with our boys, who were obviously scared. She was very informative, warm, knowledgable and sweet. So VERY HAPPY that we found this doctors office. Definitely recommend and worth all 5 Stars. Thank you for a great experience.

He’s simply the best!!! We love Dr. Toomari. He’s never on a rush, you can ask all the questions you might have, he take the time to answer all your concerns. He’s great with infants, my baby girl loves him. The office is clean & fast.

I am so happy with Dr Toomari! As a first time mother I always have a lot of questions and do endless research on what’s best for my new baby! He’s knowledgeable, he takes time to answer my questions, he’s gentle and I love that he is not pushy. Vaccine friendly. I trust him With my babies health.
Just as importantly, his staff is great. They take care of you, are never rude, always handle our schedule adjustments with ease, are personable, and keep his office running smoothly. The office clean and very child and baby friendly. We enjoy the Disney music! Everything is top notch. I highly recommend Dr Tavav Toomari!

Dr. Toomari is a great pediatrician, I can’t really compare him to any other pediatricians since this is our first child, but so far I can only say good things about this doctor and his office. I have called him once with a concern about my son and left a message, he called me back within an hour. We have never waited longer than 5 mins in his office to be seen which is really nice.

My obgyn referred dr. Toomari to us (he is his daughters pediatrician as well) and I can’t say enough good things about him. Dr. Toomari truly is the best pediatrician out there. We moved to Seattle 3 weeks ago to give our son a better upbringing and we really miss having our son see him.
Dr. Toomari is gentle, kind, and understanding with our little boy. Being first time parents we had a lot if questions during all of our visits and never felt rushed.

Got my 3 month old ears pierced at the van Nuys office since the Encino office was booked. When u call the staffs at both office are very pleasant and patient! Absolutely wonderful! Staff are very sweet, kind, attentive at the van nuys office! Dr Toomari is great! Patient, calm, respectful and kind! Wish we had ppo! He would definitely be our pick for a pediatrician!

Sandy is the best MA. I love the way she and Dr Toomari care for my baby girl. I wish she will always work there. Other MA’s just OK don’t feel the same care from them like Sandy does.

Dr. Toomari is the best doctor I have met. I completely trust him and my daughters feel so comfortable. Unfortunately I had to change doctors due to my job insurance and I had such a horrible experience with the new pediatrician. Now a days good doctors are hard to find which is why Dr. Toomari is such a gem. He actually calls back when you page him at whatever hour that may be. (Sorry doc!) But you’re truly a pretty awesome doctor that i will be changing my HMO to PPO just so my daughters can stay with u.
