Dr. Alan Khadavi is an experienced Allergist. He received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, graduating magna cum laude. He was named a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He then graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.

Dr. Khadavi completed his pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York, and then went on to complete his allergy and immunology fellowship at Long Island College Hospital. He is double-​board-​certified in pediatrics and allergy/​immunology.

He has been cited in nationwide journals and has participated in research and drug trials. He also teaches medical students and residents about current allergy care and treatment.

He has been recognized as a Rising Star in the Los Angeles Super Doctors Edition and received the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award.

Dr. Khadavi is a class act. I switched from Kaiser Allergy Dept and after being in the maintenance cycle for allergy shots for 2 years, I told him I didn’t want to restart all over again to weekly shots. He advised I get the details of the shot I was receiving at Kaiser. He even talked to the Kaiser nurse to get the new formula at the same levels. It only took me two shots to get back into maintenance levels. That saved me months of catching up to the new formula!
He is extremely knowlageable and caring with his patients. I can always make an appointment and never had to wait longer than a week to see him. I hope he doesn’t become too popular but I have to highly recommend this guy.

I highly recommend Dr. Khadavi. He is very knowledgeable, and doesn’t overlook anything.
I initially went to Dr. Khadavi for allergy testing, as I wanted to start getting allergy shots. He asked all about my medical background. When I told him that I also have asthma, he took the extra time to gather more information, and performed breathing tests so that he could make sense of the relationship between all of my symptoms. He even hooked me up with a manufacturer coupon for a one year supply of Breo, as he understood that it made a huge difference to me, being young and not having a ton of extra money for expensive medications.
Aside from being an excellent doctor, Dr. Khadavi is a very kind, attentive, and soft-​spoken person. He always asks how I am doing, and seems to have a general interest in his patients, not just as patients, but also as people.
I now go see Dr. Khadavi for weekly allergy shots. Dr. Khadavi and his staff are consistently accommodating, and exceptionally pleasant to deal with. I thought that having to go in weekly would be a huge hassle, but it has been a surprisingly painless experience.

Had some issues with my allergies recently so my coworker recommended I see her allergist Dr. Khadavi; he was so attentive kind and patient with my concerns. I was having really hard time breathing through my nose so he prescribed me some medicine to alleviate the discomfort I was feeling; I recommend Dr. Khadavi for your allergies he makes you feel important and he really cares.

When Searching for an allergist in LA, give Dr. Khadavi’s office a call. He is confident, smart and efficient. He listens and is understanding. His Encino office is shared with his cousin who practices dermatology so it’s great if you need to see a dermatologist on the same day, saves time.

Dr. Khadavi is the first doctor that actually seemed like he cared. I appreciate his services and revere his practice. I can’t put into words how thankful I am for finding this doctor. I have been struggling with severe eczema for almost three years. I went to dermatologist, a specialist, and two other allergist before I found Dr. Khadavi. He has almost fully treated my case with allergy shots and at home remedies. I strongly recommend this doctor. I am continuing to see him and once again very thankful I found this allergist. The office is clean and the staff at the desk are always polite and helpful. I never feel rushed or if they are taking there sweet time. I always book online which is easiest or I have called in and they always try and accommodate me. Strongly recommend this doctor.

Not impressive! We drove one and half hour from our home to see this Doctor since he has great reviews on Unilocal.The answer we got was very generic, answers we can get from our family doctor. Didn’t help with our skin problem at all. Very disappointed.

Dr. Khadavi is absolutely the best allergist I have been to. I’ve been suffering from allergies for over a decade and unlike countless doctors I have seen in the past, he didn’t waste time and diagnosed my condition in a matter of minutes.
Dr. Khadavi listens to what you are saying. He is understanding, compassionate, and efficient.
After over 10 years of taking every RX and OTC drug for hay fever allergies, he understood I clearly had nonallergic rhinitis as well. He gave me samples of the prescriptions I was going to get to see how I reacted to them and made sure all my questions were answered.
If you suffer from allergies and are sick of living as if you have a permanent cold, I recommend Dr. Khadavi.

Dr. Khadavi is a very professional doctor with a refreshing, good bedside manner. The two times I met with him he gave me as much time in the appointment as needed. Excellent diagnostic skills and personable. The doctor and his staff made me very comfortable. He explained everything about what he was doing and gave me detailed information about my medical issues. He was truly concerned about my medical issues and provided excellent procedures to test my allergy concerns. The doctor gave me my medical tests results immediately and instructed me on the recommended treatments. I would highly recommend the doctor to my friends.

I went to Dr. Khadavi with a rash under my eyes. It started 4 months ago in one eye and kept getting worse. i went to the eye doctor and the dermatologist who gave me a steroid cream and antibiotic cream. Nothing seemed to help. I went Dr. Khadavi and he put me on prednisone. He told me it would clear it up but we would have more work to do if it came back. it did clear it up but unfortunately it came back. i went back for a patch allergy test and nothing came back as positive. He prescribed me another cream that is actually milder than the steroid cream. The rash is finally under control.
Most of all, Dr. khedive was so nice and it was so nice going to an office and never having to wait more the 5 minutes. The pay parking lot wasn’t great, but the appointments were quick.
He was also very fair with me on the pricing.

Looking at Dr. Khadavi’s work, you can see his talent and knowledge of his specialty. He suggested what was best for me, and was honest while still being considerate. I was being treated for several months now due to my allergy with dogs & trees and I’m glad with the result. Unlike before, I don’t visit the ER anymore for my allergies.

After having been a patient of Dr. Khadavi’s for the past four months, I had to write a review of who I consider to be the best allergist ever. All I can say is, he’s a godsend. Dr. Khadavi is kind, considerate, and goes above and beyond the call of duty for his patients.
When I first came to his office, I was administered thorough allergy tests to see what allergies I have and what plan of action is appropriate. It turns out I have severe environmental and food allergies, which I was totally unaware of. Dr. Khadavi gave me several treatment options (along with suggestions on how to manage symptoms). I chose allergy shots. I’ve been going weekly and I am very happy to say they are working! All due to Dr. Khadavi’s medical expertise. For the first time in many, many years I am not coughing the first thing in the morning or right before going to bed at night. How wonderful!
Also, Dr. Khadavi’s very personable and takes the time to help his patients. Any time I call with a question, he calls me back himsef… yes, himself… to answer my question. Actually, one time he answered the office phone when I called! AND when my allergy medication was no longer covered by my insurance, he went out of his way to help me file a claim and then a grievance with the insurance company, to ensure the medication is covered. In the interim, I was given free samples to hold me over. Now instead of worrying about a $ 250 per refill fee, it’s only $ 15 per refill. How many doctors nowadays would do that (go above and beyond to help a patient)? I am very fortunate to have such a doctor, which I hope to continue to have for many years to come.

I was suffering with bad allergies for over two years, until I found Dr Khadavi! He is the most knowledgeable Allergist I have ever met. He placed me on a treatment method that has proven most effective! Beyond that, he displays a genuine care for ensuring your well being! I came to see Dr. Khadavi in Spring of 2013 after the worst allergy attack of my life. I found him highly rated on Unilocal.He administered his standard test which identified the offending allergens, and I began taking desensitization shots right away. I have been coming back ever since; currently shots are monthly. All but my worst allergy seem to be gone, and my worst seasonal allergy was completely manageable last year. I am happy with the results of my treatments.
Dr Khadavi is always very friendly. He and his staff are efficient and respectful of my time. He is fair and easy to work with when it comes to payments. I could not recommend him more highly.

My brother has been seeing Dr. Khadavi for his allergies and asthma for a few years. He was seeing another doctor in the past who just prescribed him a ton of medication but who never really listened to his symptoms and understood what was going on with him. When he finally saw Dr. Khadavi he was very impressed by his professionalism and clinical acumen. Needless to say he still sees him for check ups and he’s doing great. Also he gives a ton of free samples and he always comes back stocked up and rarely even has to go to the pharmacy for asthma meds.
At his suggestion, I went to see him as well too. For 3 years I was having a lot of runny nose symptoms and was going through many boxes of tissues. I went to see another allergist first because my school insurance made me see only certain doctors. I wasn’t really getting better so I went to see Dr. Khadavi at his suggestion. He right away knew what was going on with me and understood that I had vasomotor rhinitis. He made some medication adjustments and I’m looking forward to it. I’m confident he will be my allergy doctor for years to come. If anyone is looking for an allergy specialist I would be sure to send them his way.
Tip: There is free parking on the side street Libbit. There is about 10 spots. But if you drive further down the street about a block or two, there are many free 2 hour parking spots near the residential houses. You just have to walk a block to the office.
