Erin & Tara helped me create an excellent birthday celebration for my husband. The food was excellent, Tara handled the unexpected rain with calm (and tents), and our guests stayed until the music stopped. So many smiles and laughter, everyone was thrilled! My phone lit up the next day with messages from friends raving about the event. Best of all, my husband bragged that his wife could «really throw a party!» Thank you «Your Event by Erin!» I would recommend you in a second.

I could say so much more positive things about this company and Tara in particular. Tara did an incredible job on our office Christmas luncheon. She took non-​descript office space and transformed it into a gorgeous table for 12, complete with a big buffet of delicious food. Tara took care of every detail… and the results were better than I expected. AND she did it all for $ 50 under the max budget. Impressive. I’ve already hired Tara to do another event for me next month. She’s earned my trust and my loyalty. I highly recommend this company.

Tara is amazing! We hired Tara as a day-​of-​coordinator after I convinced my father that it was essential. After the wedding, he told me she was one of the best things he paid for!
Our venue had a venue coordinator, but I knew I needed someone to help. I swear Tara must be cloned because she was so organized, efficient and on top of everything! She contacted all of my vendors, made timelines and checked in with us the entire night. She took over for the venue coordinator who was no where in site during our wedding or reception.
She made sure all of our belongings were packed up and accounted for. Everything was spotless and perfect. Thank you Tara!!!

Erin is AMAZING! After interviewing 5 wedding planners, within just a few minutes of meeting with Erin I knew she was going to be perfect! Erin is great to work with, attentive, organized, kind and hard working! Erin is creative, she has endless ideas, examples and an amazing vision. Tara was our wedding coordinator for our Oct. 5 wedding at Leo Carrillo Ranch. I cannot say enough good things about her! She was such a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to help make our wedding day perfect. Because of her I could actually relax and enjoy our wedding day :) She is the best!

Tara was incredible! From the initial meeting until the actual wedding day, I felt like she was excited to help me create my dream wedding. Even though I had purchased the «day of plus» package, Tara was a wonderful phone and email resource for the months preceding the wedding. I immediately felt like she would be fun and easy to work with, but that she would also be able to take charge and make things happen. We had a do-​it-​yourself wedding at a rented home. The home was beautiful, but the owner turned out to be a total tyrant. Tara dealt with her with confidence and didn’t let her push us around. The day-​of went perfectly smoothly… especially given how much we had to pull together! She coordinated all of the vendors seamlessly, dealt with underlying family drama with class and professionalism, and would not let me help with anything (I tried, a lot… she just insisted I enjoy my day!). She worked wonderfully with our photographer… and every vendor there and every family member there had nothing but the best compliments for her. She had food and champagne waiting for us after the ceremony, the reception was wonderful… I could not possibly have asked for more. Tara gets my 100% (and then some) recommendation!

There are not enough words to describe the amazingness of Erin. My husband and I got married at Scripps Seaside Forum so we knew we would definitely need a Day of Coordinator. I researched tons of different coordinators online and selected three to interview. The meeting with the first coordinator went well but it was nothing special. Then we met Erin. From the moment I met her I felt like we were close friends. She has this calming and friendly air about her that I immediately knew would help my anxiety proneness on the day of the wedding. Don’t get me wrong, I could also tell that she had a get it done attitude and would do whatever necessary to do just that. The third planner flaked out on us 5 minutes before our meeting but it didn’t matter, I already knew Erin was the right choice for us and getting recommendations from other brides proved just that. No one had anything bad to say about her. In fact, both brides I contacted told me I would be crazy not to hire her. So we hired her for the Week of Coordination instead of day of and I’m so thankful that we did.
We hired Erin a little over a year before the wedding and even though we only hired her for week of coordination she would e-​mail me from time to time to ask how things were going. More than a few times she bailed me out of situations where I was about to rip out all of my hair with amazing words of wisdom as well as solution. It seems like she has been in the business for decades. And have you seen some of the pictures from events her and her company have put on? You need to go look right now if you haven’t. During my whole planning process, I would look at the Facebook posts and seriously second guess my decision not to hire her to coordinate our whole wedding.
I met with Erin a few times before the wedding to go over everything. With the week of services, she contacted all the vendors during the week of to make sure everything was in order and everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing. This was a huge help to me because we had tons of family in for the week. The day of the wedding, she was amazing. I had brought all of the decorations and gave her an idea of where I wanted some things but mostly I told her to just «do her thing». And that she did. Everything looked amazing. The whole night went seamlessly and it was 100% due to her. She seemed to have this sixth sense for when we needed something and would be right at my side asking what I needed the second I turned my head to look for her. Every single thing went smoothly which is a lot to say for a wedding and I can guarantee that that would not have happened without her. At the end of the night, she packed up everything for us so we could leave and continue on the party which was amazing. Erin was invaluable to us and I would not hesitate for a second to hire her for any event, personal or business, in the future. It is clear that this is the job Erin was meant to do. With that I’m passing on a little piece of great advice I received during my planning process, you’d be crazy not to hire her.

Blame Lifetime or Oxygen, but I had very high expectations for a wedding planner. Those expectations unfortunately resulted in my interviewing six planners; Tara at Your Event by Erin was the last person I interviewed, and I’m not exaggerating when I say she felt like divine intervention. I liked her the moment she answered the phone. At a stressful stage in wedding planning, feeling lost without a planner and worried that we had picked the wrong venue, she immediately put my mind at ease. My husband proposed a month after we both finally landed our dream jobs which meant that throughout planning, we worked 60 hr weeks. Moreover, our a-​la-​carte venue didn’t come with a planner, and I really wanted the wedding we had dreamt of for 9 years, but when it came to interviewing, that seemed impossible. We had hoped for a comfortable, unique, «anthropologie-​like» wedding (but on a budget), and they looked at me like I was crazy, but not Tara. I am so in love with Tara; I feel indebted to her. I came to her with a huge vision, a venue that came with nothing, 7 vendors, and a garage full of random things I spent 13 months collecting. Out of that mess, she magically constructed the wedding of our dreams– NO, it was so much better than that. It was a wedding that would not have been possible without her and it was something bigger and more beautiful than I could’ve ever dreamt Although she was only my day-​of planner, she was never more than a friendly email away. She was amazing on the phone, quick to respond, wonderfully personal, and committed to my happiness as a bride. She made me feel very, very taken care of. Planning a wedding takes lots of important decisions, and I’m pretty sure my favorite one was Tara. Even after the wedding, she continued to help, and my mother talks of her like she’s an angel (she kinda is.) She’s selfless and dedicated. She’s perfect. Hire her right now!

Erin is the best. Period. I felt so lucky that she moved and expanded her business up to Northern California just in time to plan our wedding (in June in Napa). I really felt like she understood exactly what I wanted and loved and made it happen. She was somehow able to muddle through all of my thoughts and ideas and design and plan a wedding that seriously exceeded my wildest dreams and expectations. It was like a better version of what I was hoping for. No joke. When I first arrived at our reception, I was just blown away. I couldn’t believe that she had created something so phenomenal, and that it was there for us! Erin is amazing at DIY projects, and has an incredible eye for design.
She is also a floral genius. We didn’t have a florist, and Erin did it all herself… bouquets, tables, all of it. And the flowers were awesome and perfect.
She’s a blast, and just a cool person to have around. But she’s also extremely organized and professional, and has incredible contacts and relationships in the industry. Having Erin as our planner took oh so much unwanted stress off of me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
Everything was perfect. Erin totally rocks. Everyone loved her. It was the best decision ever. Hire her immediately, it’s beyond worth it! I promise.

From the moment I met Erin, I knew that she was the perfect person to plan our wedding. She has so much style! My fiancé and I met with Erin only a few days after our engagement and booked with her on the spot! Erin helped us plan a gorgeous wedding in less than two months without batting an eye. To us, it seemed like an impossible task, but we both knew that with Erin on our side, everything was going to be ok.

Erin was there to coordinate our rehearsal and made us, our families, and wedding party feel completely at ease. The ceremony was perfect, and afterwards, we walked into a beautifully set up reception. It was better than we had imagined! If there were any glitches that day, I was completely unaware of them! Erin took care of absolutely everything, down to the smallest detail. Because of Erin, we were able to enjoy our special day without any worries!
We couldn’t have pulled this off without Erin. With her help, we were able to plan an incredible wedding in less than 2 months! Erin is truly a lovely person and amazing wedding planner! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, perfect day, or for a more seamless planning process.
After the big day, our family and friends couldn’t stop gushing about Erin and what a wonderful job she did. Everyone was so impressed! I would recommend Your Event by Erin to anyone looking for a wedding or party planner in a heartbeat!

I hired Erin to do the day-​of coordinating of my wedding. I would definitely recommend hiring her for the entire planning process. My mom and I thought we had it «all under control,» however we did not. This meant that Erin had her hands full the day before and the day of the wedding. She managed to go above and beyond her role and helped out for an entire two days managing to tie up the many loose ends left by my mother and I. Some of the elements myself and my mom put so much hard work in to would not have even been seen if it weren’t for Erin’s get-​it-​done-​right attitude the morning of the wedding. She definitely had her hands full and did it all with grace and a sense of calm. She was a life saver and my day was so amazing thanks to her. Please book her. You will not regret your decision!

Erin put together a 40^th birthday party for me and the event was LOVELY.
Everything flowed smoothly, the décor was beautiful and rich and harmonized. You would never know that at the appointed arrival time for her to set up, you couldn’t get into the venue because there were all kinds of things stacked up everywhere and the floor was sopping wet. Erin got the room put together, and whipped towels out of her car to dry the floors herself. When I arrived an hour later to drop things off, she was perfectly calm and composed and was laying out a beautiful table. I was blissfully unaware of any previous problems. When the guests arrived, she ensured that the party flowed smoothly. 60+ people were able to be served food and drink easily and repeatedly with no wait. She completely got our foodie sensibilities and picked out terrific and interesting cheeses, flatbreads, crackers and fruits for the food tables. She had a perfect assortment of beverages as well, and had every bit of the food and drink arranged elegantly. The beautiful serving dishes she lent us were interspersed with lovely floral nosegays she had arranged, votives, and other personal touches. The flowers she chose harmonized beautifully, reflected the colors on the invitations and rendered a very rich feeling to every table. She put together creative personal touches like embossing my initial on coasters and arranged for decorative and fun desserts. The desserts she suggested were a great alternative to our original ideas (that weren’t working out) and were more appropriate to the time of day. After the party, she stayed very late to clean and pack everything up while I was able to waltz off to dinner. She then delivered all the stuff back to us at home the next afternoon.
Erin seemed to really have a knack for how to set up a great party, keep it flowing effortlessly and smoothly, and to make sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. Probably the most thoughtful thing she did was when my husband (unannounced) stood up to give a toast to me, she grabbed our abandoned camera and got the whole thing on film. A precious memory — preserved by Erin who, in a moment, knew this had to be recorded, found the camera, and figured out how to work it. This is evidence that she was also focused on the reason for the event and the people at the event, and the importance of the memories that would occur, in addition to the machinations of procuring, arranging, replenishing. In summary, it was a beautiful, beautiful event — made smooth and memorable and enhanced in so many ways by handing it all over to Erin.
For the first time, at a party we threw, we really were able to relax, breathe easily, enjoy our guests and love the event. Thanks Erin — it was beautiful, memorable, and easy (easy for us — I think you put some work into it!).

Erin is incredible!!! She was my wedding coordinator and she seriously ROCKED. Her expertise was invaluable throughout the planning process. The week leading up to the big day, she took care of all those nagging little details with finesse. I had a couple of annoying vendor things come up and she stepped in and straightened everything out for me! It was great that I didn’t have to deal with it when I had family flying in from all over the world! She has an incredible attention to detail and went through my catering contract with a fine-​toothed comb, finding weird little mistakes they made that I never would have noticed! Awesome! She also has a very artistic/​creative eye and set up my venue/​ceremony spot beautifully. I was a total ditz on my wedding day, and she kept me on-​track and on-​time the entire day. It was so great to not have to think; she did it for me! :)
I recommended her to a friend who is getting married and she is kicking butt on her wedding, too!
To top it all off, you couldn’t meet a sweeter gal. I just adore her. If you are getting married, I couldn’t recommend Erin highly enough.

Would give her more is there were 7,8,9 stars! It’s been 2 months since my wedding and I still think of all the hard work she put in, the easiness of her personality, her attention to detail. But, most important to me was that she absolutely knew what she was doing and didn’t come to me for any questions during the event. To me that made all the difference, I was so relaxed, enjoyed myself, ate, danced alot all thanks to not having to worry about the little things. Even the planning before, she follows your vision, gives you great input, suggests better ways of doing something. Her demeanor is always professional, yet I felt like we knew each other and she was helping out. Thanks to Erin my stress levels pre-​wedding and during where at their minimal.

Erin was the best wedding coordinator a girl could ask for. Seriously! I would HIGHLY recommend working with Erin because she is organized, has a great eye for design and can easily work with anyone. Erin lifted a huge weight from my mom’s shoulders… my mom LOVES Erin and so do I! No job was too large or too small for Erin, she never felt overwhelmed.
