Why did you start your business?
I always tell everyone my parents got old on me. They are the reason I decided to leave the medical field I had enjoyed for 28 years. My parents had reached the young years of around 89 and 93, and were pretty banged up after two car accidents. They were no longer able to care for themselves, so the big move came about. I was in Colo. Packing them when I realized I was unaware of all the things available on the market that could have made live so much easier while they were able to live at home. Maybe it was guilt, maybe it was because I care for the suffering, and those just trying to get through life. I felt I needed to be doing something to help the ageing live independently, and to have some quality of life while doing so. I retired from my job in 2002. For the next three years I went on the road giving seminars on all the aids to daily living available to seniors. In 2006 I felt I could reach even more people if I opened a store where people could
