Titan Tutoring provides private in-​home tutoring for students in grades 7 – 12 throughout Northern San Diego County. All of our tutors are experienced educators with a passion for helping your child succeed. They are current or retired teachers, substitute teachers, or full-​time tutors. Many have advanced degrees and all have at least two years of experience in their field. All of our tutors are background checked before they even enter your home, so you have complete peace of mind when choosing Titan.

Laura B.

Business Owner

Laura founded Titan Tutoring​in 2013 after working for several years on the East Coast as a high school Spanish teacher. She holds her Bachelors and Masters degrees from private universities in Spanish Language and Literature, as well as two teaching credentials in both California and Massachusetts. While she has always enjoyed the dynamic of classroom teaching, she found herself to be most effective at one-​on-​one instruction outside of the classroom.

As a former teacher, Laura is well-​versed in the today’s challenging high school curricula, the modern trends toward 21^st century learning, as well as the importance of differentiated instruction in the classroom. With oversized classes and limited budgets, it’s no surprise that many students require extra enrichment beyond the classroom. Laura has turned her passion for tutoring into a career by recruiting other credentialed teachers to her team to help students throughout San Diego succeed in the classroom!
